Enjoy an unforgettable trulli holiday in Trulli Pecorino, our recently completed (September 2014) Trulli restoration . . . and like Italy’s tastiest pecorino cheeses, your stay will be the perfect topping to your holiday in Puglia or will provide a unique ‘home base’ to come back to for rest and relaxation if your stay is part of a longer visit to Italy or extensive exploration of all that the local area has to discover.
As our recent guest Laura, from the UK, wrote in her review:
"We spent a wonderful fortnight in Trulli Pecorino. The accommodation is modern and has been very tastefully and thoughtfully furnished with lots of little touches to make life easier. We stayed with our three children (ages 3, 8 and 9) and had ample space, even with the extra camp bed kindly provided in one bedroom."
We encourage you to please read through our guest reviews for more information. Thank you.
Trulli Pecorino is a six-cone trulli with private pool, set in a tranquil location within rolling olive groves and nearby several working Masseria (fortified farm estates) for relaxing days in . . . or when you want to explore, minute’s drives to lovely Puglian hilltop towns with incredible food on offer.
As you approach our Trulli in the Puglian countryside or Ostuni, you will even see local livestock roaming the Masseria grounds. . . including ewe’s (sheep), whose milk Pecorino is made from.
Each of the bedrooms, the kitchenette and dining areas, as well as one of the two bathrooms . . . (and even a hallway!) . . . is nestled under its own stone-vaulted cone.
Our Trulli has two (2) generously-sized bedrooms (each under its own large Trulli cone/vaulted ceiling) which can be configured as two doubles or one double / two singles, and two (2) bathrooms (yes, two bathrooms) . . . so it is ideal for couple(s) and/or families or friends sharing a Trulli holiday.
In addition, TrulliPecorino boasts a separate kitchenette/dining area. . . each within its own Trulli cone. All rooms have been simply but stylishly decorated to accent the architectural heritage and simplicity of Trulli architecture itself.
TrulliPecorino’s private pool measures 8m X 4m. Sun loungers, outdoor seating and pool towels are provided.
In Springtime and for cool Autumnal nights, TrulliPecorino is centrally heated (inclusive or rates quoted) for maximum comfort should the night turn chilly.
Our trulli is located in the beautiful countryside outside of Ostuni . . . and you will be ideally located for convenient access (10-15 min by car) to the beautiful Puglian hilltop towns of Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca and Ceglie Messapica . . . each with its own unique character and without doubt, you will be able to finish an unforgettable Puglian meal in one of the plethora of restaurants (from Osteria to Michelin-starred) with a fine cheeseboard which will undoubtedly include a DOP pecorino.
If you are a wine-lover, we can introduce you to our local favourites and help to arrange and escorted tour of the countless winemaking vineyards in the area.
Ostuni's beaches are only minutes’ drive away.
Further afield, excursions to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Alberobello (35 min) and Matera – a ‘must’ in our opinion – (1 hr 45 min), as well as the beautiful baroque city of Lecce (1hr 20 min) or Otranto (1 hour 45min) or Gallipoli (1 hour 30 min)
Whether your holiday plans include simply total rest and relaxation or, rather packing in as much sightseeing as possible, TrulliPecorino will help create lasting memories of your time in the beautiful (and wine / food lover’s) hidden gem of Italy and complement your holiday, providing the perfect accompaniment for your visit to Puglia.

This trullo had all the comforts and facilities required for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Directions and information guidelines were very useful - local help and support was available (if needed) in addition to that provided by the owners before we left the UK. The property is ideally suited for all the local sights and there are many restaurants and attractions within a short distance.
The only drawback for us was having to pay the fees in Euros rather than Sterling. The banks tend to use different exchange rates than those generally advertised.
We spent a wonderful fortnight in Trulli Pecorino. The accommodation is modern and has been very tastefully and thoughtfully furnished with lots of little touches to make life easier. We stayed with our three children (ages 3, 8 and 9) and had ample space, even with the extra camp bed kindly provided in one bedroom.
The structure of the trulli somehow means it remained at a very comfortable temperature and air conditioning not an issue.
Glenn was great from the very beginning of the booking process and throughout. Both he and Annalisa were always on hand or promptly at the end of an email if needed with friendly and sympathetic advice and help on any matter from making restaurant bookings in Italian to "family friendly" beach visits and parking and so on...
The location amongst the olive groves assures absolute peace and quiet, as well as the clever design of the pools allowing privacy. Plenty of space for the children to roam around safely and enjoy plenty of fun in the well-maintained pool.
You will need a car for everything, no local bakery within walking distance, but for us that was a fair trade for the peaceful location.
We followed advice in other reviews and visited Ostuni, Alberobello, Locorotondo and Matera-all fantastic. Our favourite beach was undoubtedly Torre Guaceto, it was a trek but the snorkelling in this peaceful sheltered cove was worth it. On Glenn's recommendation we also enjoyed a great day at Beach Club Viars-apparently more sand for the kids than at other clubs and definitely much more space on the beach (a big issue when you are trying to keep an eye on a speedy toddler and two other children). We felt much more secure without the crowds on the rest of the beach.
We all thoroughly enjoyed two evening meals at Annalisa's family restaurant, an authentic and delicious experience. The children enjoyed meeting the farm animals amongst other treats and we were also lucky enough to have a cookery lesson!
We would absolutely recommend this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and Puglia, another amazing area of this wonderful country where you definitely feel like you're in Italy as opposed to other "tourist destinations" in Europe.
Gorgeous, just gorgeous. The Tullo itself was beautifully renovated. We had a wonderful holiday.
The surroundings were very rustic, no disturbances as pretty far from town. Idyllic.
The rather was amazing, and earn right through till evenings which were spent lazing around drinking, eating and chatting outside.
The pool a welcome escape from the heat ; a great space to relax and read a book but also big enough to have a good swim.
A Perfect spot for bbq'ing - we enjoyed fresh fish and meats each night.
Also loved the beach club culture, good days out to the beach on a couple of occasions.
Ostuni the town itself is picture postcard with its winding streets, so pretty at night with fabulous restaurants and bars, thoroughly enjoyed it.
We loved staying in such a beautiful setting. Peace and quiet with all the modern conveniences you'd expect. Glenn was very helpful making useful recommendations for restaurants and hotels. Well situated for exploring pretty Italian towns and historical sights - whilst only 20 minutes from the coast. Rather too much gelato consumed - but then when in Rome and all that!
We had a great ten days at TP. It's very peaceful, in the middle of olive groves, and a great place to relax by the pool and read a book. It's near to several beautiful hilltop towns which have great markets, local shops and restaurants.
Glenn the owner was very helpful; living nearby he was able to offer us advice and guidance.
Would highly recommend it.
We had a great stay in Trulli Pecorino. It was clean and well equipped and maintained. Even in the heat of this summer (35ºC) is was easy to keep the temperature inside the Trulli at a comfortable level (23-26ºC). The olive trees around the patio provided a pleasant shade when required, leaving enough room in the sun. the house is ideally located for sightseeing in Puglia.
Tranquil and private Puglian countryside with in-ground pool, set on nearly 1 hectare (2 acres) of olive/fruit grove and other Mediterranean plants -- yet easily accessible (10-15 min by car) -- to hilltop towns of Ostuni, Cisternino, Ceglie Messapica and Martina Franca, and must-see UNESCO World Heritage sites - Alberobello (45 min) and Matera (1 hr 45 min). OSTUNI BEACHES: 20 MIN by CAR. ZooSafari amusement park for children nearby. Gorgeous beaches. Lecce, Gallipoli, Otranto, Santa Maria de Leuca make for excellent 1/2 or full day excursions.
For the kids: ZooSafari and Aquapark (both located near Fasano) are 35 minute drives
Briindisi Aiport: 35min
Bari Airport: 1hr 10min

Rental rates for our home will always be quoted to you in EURO. HomeAway’s currency converter/display into other currencies (eg GBP, USD) is for indicative purposes only and is highly inaccurate. It is not a problem for us if you wish to pay in another currency, however, we will confirm the EURO amount received by us and make adjustments to final balance payments when and if necessary. To avoid any confusion, we always recommend that guests have their own bank (or PayPal) do the currency conversion at source so that they will know exactly the rate and amount being paid at source . . . and especially concerning GBP, as Brexit has added vast uncertainties and fluctuations in the GBP / Euro rates.
