Opening the door to Casa Bella will take your breath away. This is the light-filled home of an artist with a beautiful eye for detail. From the luxurious garden to the art adorning every wall, beauty, comfort and ease of living are the operative words. It is the perfect home for a wonderful, relaxing vacation in magical San Miguel de Allende.
Casa Bella is a charming Mexican-style home on a quiet, bougainvillea-lined street. Daily life centers around the covered dining patio and lovely garden as you are soothed by the sounds of water from the classic cantera fountain. This recently built and newly remodeled home combines the light and colors of San Miguel style with modern comforts of a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, open floor plan with a comfortable living room, large master bedroom suite with ample closets, double sinks, a firm comfortable mattress, and attached office.
The kitchen, dining room and living room all open onto an outdoor dining patio. The living room solarium reveals a lush greenery of fruit trees, flowers, and bamboo.
Follow the path around the garden, sit on the comfy chairs, and enjoy the sounds of birds, the sights of butterflies and hummingbirds. And while you're at it, enjoy a glass of wine and cheese while contemplating the garden.
A second floor patio provides a private place for reading and relaxing. From the rooftop terrace, you will enjoy views of the Parocchia and city skyline with your evening Margarita!
A pressurized water system and large hot water tank provide an exhilarating morning shower before facing another wonderful San Miguel day! Three fireplaces give virtually instant heat for cool mornings and evenings, and ceiling fans ventilate the bedrooms and office.
Within an easy walk are the town's main square (Jardin), the Instituto (lovely art school), restaurants, bakeries and the San Juan de Dios market for your daily shopping of fresh produce and flowers.
A special bonus for your Mexican vacation is daily maid service by Mari, our housekeeper. She will wash and iron your clothes, clean the house and kitchen (imagine - no dishes to wash!). She can also shop for you and cook delicious Mexican dishes, such as chicken enchiladas, chile rellenos, sopa de verdures (vegetable soup), frijoles and arroz (rice and beans).

Read our reviews and you'll know why so many renters have stayed at Casa Bella and loved it! Many have returned multiple times.
Our stay was exactly as described by owners. Charles (Carlos) and Linda go all out to make your stay at Casa Bella as easy and comfortable as possible. Linda's own artwork plus their personal collection of Mexican art enhances the experience. Carlos makes sure your comfortable from the time of booking, your arrival until your departure. Wish we could have stayed longer. RE San Miguel d'Allende - have known about this destination since the late 60's but this was my first visit: most likely more charming, more 'natural' and fewer Americans back then, but still maintains a special charm and atmosphere. Easy to understand why there are more Ex-pats there.
My husband and I took my parents to San Miguel to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. I spoke with Carlos about renting Casa Bella and from our first conversation, it was a terrific experience. He was so helpful not only with information about the home but also with San Miguel and surrounding area information. The home was fabulous. Cozy and comfortable. We had daily maid service (including laundry) from Maria who was terrific. She greeted us when we arrived on Saturday and had prepared homemade guacamole and chips and left a bottle of wine. Everything was well documented about the house and was even better than advertised. I would highly recommend Casa Bella.
Property inside and out is absolutely charming! Homeaway is a great resource with dozens of picture perfect houses so naturally I enquired about 8 properties to find one that would best suit our desires. Carlos was the first person to reply and actually took time to phone me. I booked the house and BAM...my research was over. Carlos provided us with all the information we needed including weather, suggestions for packing, restaurants, transportation arrangements, and so much more. The house has every amenity that a five star hotel would have. Not to mention the sweetest housekeeper Mari who wisps around like a fairy to give you the upmost privacy. The layout was well designed and furnishings thoughtfully placed providing each person a cozy space to read, browse the Internet or watch cable tv. Each day spent in San Miguel was filled with rich gourmet coffee paired with pastries, courtyard workouts, colorful fresh produce to please the dietitian in me, afternoon cocktails, site seeing, and pure bliss with my family. We came back to the states re-energized and completely satisfied. Now it's your turn, enjoy!
Having lived 15+ years in Mexico, and being all too familiar with the problems of local houses, we sincerely appreciated all of the thought and care that went into making Casa Bella such an ideal home base for exploring San Miguel and the surrounding areas. This well-organized, lovely, and welcoming house is perfectly located--close enough to walk to the heart of the town and its many attractions, but removed from the noise and traffic that prevail in the center. All of the systems in the house work well, the instructions seem to cover every contingency, and Carlos is easy to reach if you require advice about any aspect of staying in San Miguel. Thanks for providing the perfect setting for us to reconnect with our Mexican friends!
My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying at Casa Bella. The house is beautiful with a lovely blend of indoor and outdoor space. Carlos was an incredible resource for everything from transportation from the airport to a great restaurant to eat at on our first night. The house is so peaceful and calming. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We had a terrific stay at Casa Bella! Everything truly exceeded our expectations. I like to think that I am an organized and experienced traveler but the owner provided me with great resources to plan every aspect of the trip. He made it his mission to ensure that everything from our arrival to our last night in San Miguel was special. His recommendations of restaurants, drivers, and tours are spot on. Follow his advice and you will have a great trip. The house and gardens look beautiful in the pictures, but they are even more beautiful in person. We have rented many vacation homes and none have ever come close to providing the kitchen provisions at Casa Bella! We loved the neighborhood. It is an easy uphill walk to El Jardin, which means it is an even easier walk home. I loved the pedestrian-only short cut to the Instituto. Cabs were plentiful but we rarely hailed one because we enjoyed the walk. The street where the house is located is quiet. The neighbors are a nice mix of helpful expats and friendly Mexicans. Mari the house keeper spoiled us. She encouraged our rudimentary Spanish, cleaned up our breakfast dishes and kept the house and garden spotless. This home is beautiful and the host is wonderful. You will have a magical stay at Casa Bella.

Music, theater, sightseeing, hot springs, fine dining are all a short walk or $2 cab ride away.
