We are grateful to have been able to book relatively last minute for a New Forest. The sun was shining throughout our stay enabling the New Forest to shine in its splendour. The townhouse was perfect for us - family of 4 with a dog. It is small but perfect for a few days relaxation - perhaps if the weather had not been great it may have seemed a little tight, but we spent our time outdoors and loved our stay. The was clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Karen was quick in responding to the few questions we did have. Only thing to note is parking is tight - we had two cars - one can park in the small space in front of the house, the other just in front of it and close to the wall to allow cars to pass...worked for us as we had small cars but may be tight for larger cars.
Ringwood was a convenient location - have a meal at the Noisy Lobster round the corners. On NY eve we spent a lovely evening at the local pub with live music and a great atmosphere.
We would definitely return to this delightful townhome on the edge of the Forest.
The location was perfect for us to explore the new forest and take a trip to the Isle of Wight. The property is in a great location, easy access to shops and walking distance to the local supermarket. Really enjoyable stay. Thanks
Stayed for a week in August. The property is located in a small quiet gated community, is well equipped and has reasonable quality fittings. There is a lovely courtyard seating area which is quite private. The property has its own parking but there is restricted space to manoeuvre although we managed all right with an estate car. A couple of minutes walk to shops, restaurants and bars. Well located for touring the area especially the New Forest although main roads can be very busy. It was a really pleasant place to stay. The property was clean and has been reasonably maintained.
This lovely home is located just behind Ringwood's High Street. You can stroll out to the great range of pubs, restaurants, cafe's, coffee shops, charity shops or beauty salons that Ringwood has to offer. A good sized Waitrose and Sainsburys are a 5 minute walk away, so everything is literally on your doorstep. I went away with my three girls aged 14, 15 and 20 and there were plenty of shops to interest them and Ringwood felt safe to browse around.
The house itself felt pretty new. It was clean, well-maintained and a pleasure to live in. A couple of things needed attention and Karen quickly came along to help and resolve those issues. She was very helpful and attentive. The en-suite and main bathroom functioned very well as did all the other household gadgets. It did feel like Karen had thought of everything you might need and we lacked for nothing - there was even a Nescafe Gusto Machine. We had a stunning week of proper summer weather and often sat out in the courtyard garden for meals or coffee. There is an amazing electric awning for shade (if you need it). The dishwasher was great, as was the washing machine (I found an instruction manual online) and the wifi was as good as ours at home with decent reception, which my kids can't live without! There was secure parking for 2 small cars, or one larger one and the house is in a safe security gated cul-de-sac.
We went on the New Forest Tour (open-top bus) and visited the New Forest Wildlife Park. The bus was very comfy and informative. The wildlife Park wasn't that big but on a blisteringly hot day was just what we needed. We stopped off in Lyndhurst on the way home - another pretty village worth an hour or two of browsing.
All-in-all a lovely holiday, plenty to do on our doorstep and I would happily rent this house out again. It is fabulously located for the New Forest attractions or the amazing coast nearby. We had a lovely time at Boscombe beach, near Bournemouth and at it's town centre.
You won't be disappointed :)
Great place to stay, nice quiet location with easy access to local stores. Plenty of space if you have children, would definitely stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ringwood. Although it is right in the middle of town, the house is secluded, comfortable and well-equipped, and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. There's a parking space outside the house, but it is compact and might not be suitable for larger cars and SUVs. We didn't have any need to contact Karen while we were there, but communication before we arrived was prompt and very helpful.
We were in the area for an event and so didn't venture very far, but it would make an excellent base for exploring the New Forest and the South Coast. Ringwood itself is a lovely town, with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants - they serve an excellent breakfast at the Boston Tea Party in the shopping centre - and within a couple of miles you can be out in the middle of the forest on tiny lanes. The only drawback with Ringwood is that the A31 tends to jam when it is busy, and can make getting in and out of town a pain.
And as the same event is taking place next year, I'm going online today to book for next July...
