My husband, my friend and I stayed here almost 3 weeks in March. It is a beautiful apartment - spacious and tastefully decorated. The apartment is u-shaped. The entrance is at the bottom of the "U", and there is the south wing (right) and north wing (left). The north wing has a master bedroom (extremely comfortable double bed, and great linens) with an attached bathroom. Also, there is another room with a sofa bed, table & chairs and a workable kitchen. The south wing has one large bedroom (again, comfy big bed and great linens), with two large windows that give you a lovely view of the Arno & Bardini Gardens. There is a separate full bathroom. And, the full big kitchen with table and chairs. The apartment was quiet and bright. You can rent one wing, if you wish. We had both wings and never used the north wing's kitchen. The terrace is amazing. The entrance to the terrace is just to the right as you enter the apartment, up a flight of stairs. The apartment is a block away from the Arno, two blocks away from Santa Croce, and maybe 10-15 minutes southeast of the Duomo. AND, it's got a lift. Cannot say enough about having an elevator. Irene was pleasant, professional and accommodating. I would come back to this apartment any time I'm in Florence.
I live in Florence and booked this incredible Florence from the Roof apartment for my family that was visiting. My grandmother has limited mobility, so I wanted to find an apartment that would allow her time to rest after busy days of site seeing, while still getting to enjoy the city. This was the perfect apartment to do that. We were up on that roof for breakfast every morning, and in the afternoons and evenings to enjoy the sunset. You literally have almost a 360 degree view of the entire city. Although the roof is a major selling point, the apartment itself is incredible. It is far bigger then any other apartment I have ever been in, in Florence. The rooms are so spacious and pleasantly furnished. No one wanted to get out of bed in the morning, they were so comfortable! Everything you could possible need is in this apartment, the kitchen provides ample utensils and necessities if you wish to cook. The rooms are spread out, giving everyone plenty of personal space. My family would move into this apartment right now if they could!
The location is also another MAJOR plus to this apartment. I live in Florence, so I know the better areas to stay, and this one is right in the middle of everything. You are so close to most of the major landmarks around the city centre, steps away from Santa Croce church, minutes to Piazza Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, restaurants/cafes/bars all right around the corner and a super market right in front of the apartment building. Another big plus is that this apartment is on the top floor, meaning although you are in the centre, you don't hear most of the hustle and bustle of the street below because you are high up and facing the river.
Irene is an amazing host and was so warm and accommodating. My family has already started promoting this place to friends back home, and I know when they return, this is where they will want to stay!
We had two couples staying for 5 nights at Tintori Terrace at the end of September. The apartment is beautiful and the terrace is spectacular. We went to the market on the other side of Santa Croce, bought plenty of fresh food, and had dinner on the terrace! What a treat! The apartment was very spacious, clean, everything worked, and overall it was even better than expected. The bathrooms and kitchen were beautiful and the bedrooms spacious and very well decorated. The manager was very cooperative especially given our flight had been delayed. I would highly recommend this property. I have absolutely no complaints. Thank you so much!!!
This apartment exceeded our expectations! It was beautifully decorated and updated, extremely clean, and well equipped. There were extremely warm temperatures when we were visiting, and the air conditioning worked very well, which was not our experience in other rentals in Italy. The location was perfect...easily in walking distance to most sites. The rooftop terrace was gorgeous, with views of the whole city and the river, and was perfect for morning caffe or our evening meal. There was ample space for the six of us. Having the market directly across the street was a bonus. We loved Cafe Neri for gelato, just a few blocks away. The elevator worked reliably which was perfect for moving our luggage. Irene was so helpful, arranging a driver for us from the train station and also to visit the Chianti region. We really did not want to leave! We would highly recommend this property.
If you are looking for the perfect location to relax and enjoy Florence in a perfect location to everything - this is it! This apartment has the most amazing roof top terrace with incredible views - day and nights in particular. Every major attraction in Florence can be viewed from the private terrace. The apartment is very clean and has all of the conveniences that you need. Renting with two couples provides plenty of space and privacy - and with two kitchens, one being more of an efficiency kitchen and the other a very complete full kitchen. The washer is nice to have. A real plus is a full market is literally just across the street - seconds from the front door (with wine, beer, and liquor as well). With this wonderful location, it is fun to "eat in" sometimes despite the outstanding restaurants in Florence. Lastly, if you are looking for a heath club, a good one is just a 5-7 minute walk away - called the "Swan". Irene, the manager and owner of the property, is easy to work with, accommodating, responsive, and professional. If we return again to Florence, this will be our choice for an apartment.
Having called Irene from the train station in Milan to advise her when we would arrive in Florence, we arrived to find Irene waiting for us at the front entrance of the building. We took the lift ( very small in Europe ) to the top floor and were shown into a spacious apartment that had been recently and beautifully renovated. Every conceivable thing needed from appliances to to a bottle of wine on the kitchen table was present on arrival. The apartment was meticulous with beautiful wood floors and marble bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable in both of the large bedrooms. Everything rivaled a fine hotel. Then Irene took us to the rooftop terrace, which is accessed from a stairway within the apartment and is for the exclusive use of the apartment residents: A beautifully tiled terrace with a 360 degree view of the rooftops of Florence, the Duomo, the Arno and the hills beyond. A large table and chairs along with lounge chairs made this a special place to begin the day with coffee and end the day with a fine glass of wine as the sun set and the lights of Florence began to sparkle. If one wished to eat in, the kitchen is large and well equipped. There is a separate laundry room with a washer ( no dryer, but a drying rack which works well. Who uses dryers in Italy?). Needless to say we will not think twice about where to stay when we return.
