This immaculate fully furnished air conditioned three bedroom townhouse has three queen sized beds, a fully equipped kitchen, two full baths and parking for two cars in an enclosed garage. A golf cart with a back seat is included with the rental. The golf cart is a great way to visit the nearby beaches which are located less than a mile (1.6 km) away from the rental.

Amazing trip in Ko-Olina

We had a wonderful trip to Oahu for our very first time to Hawaii !!! The Owner Carlton was amazing. Great contact, he was a world of knowledge as a guide. His beautiful home was " Home Away from Home" so cozy, clean and abundantly supplied with everything.

Thank you Carlton for a wonderful trip and for renting us your beautiful home...We would definitely rent there again in a heart beat :) Mahalo

Absolutely Wonderful

All five of us were so comfortable and relaxed in this spacious 3-bedroom townhome unit and did not want to leave the island! The unit was exceptionally clean and we really appreciated the obvious care the owner, Carlton, puts into this vacation home. This is the second time (in two years) that we've had the pleasure of working with Carlton who is a very friendly, kind and welcoming gentleman filled with the spirit of Aloha. The home is well-stocked with paper goods, linens, kitchen items, etc. It was good to be able to park our car in the enclosed garage and use the golf cart to ride around Ko Olina -- fun! From start to finish, our experience with this rental was ALL positive and we hope to stay in this same unit again during our next visit to Oahu :) If we could, we'd rate this with six stars!

Excellent place to stay

This is our Fourth year we have rented from Carlton and everything has been what we expected, very clean and some new items installed, (Toilets, Bathroom Fans, Flooring in Bedrooms, and new Master Shower. We will continue to rent from him every year that we go there (If I don't buy the place from him first). Carlton has always responded with any questions or concerns we might have. I still highly recommend this place to stay at if you are looking for relaxation, comfort, quiet, and Safety. Marty

Think twice before you stay here!

We really had high hopes for our stay on this side of the island. Unfortunately things really fell flat. It started at check in. Although the cleaning lady was there when we first arrived to drop off some luggage early in the day, the unit was not very clean when we came back that night. The kitchen especially was not clean at all. Crumbs all over the counter and every dish in the place was dirty. We had to clean them before using them. The floors did not look like they had been swept and the bedding was all rumpled, like it had been slept in. The fridge was full of half eaten food, fish, cake, mochi and more.

We did not have access to the pool while we were there. There was no key or way to gain entrance to it. The kids were disappointed but we did have a great time at the coves during our stay. The beds were hard as another reviewer suggested.

The worst part of our stay however, happened just after we left when I received an email stating that we had scratched the floor and so would be loosing our $500 security deposit. Now, we didn't even wear our shoes in the unit and were only there each day to sleep. We are not careless or hard on our things so when the owner accused us of these types of actions we were dumbfounded. We actually left the unit in better shape than we when got there and to be swindled this way was very hurtful. I'm sure the owner will put in his two cents and tell you that we did cause damage but I really believe he is just trying to recoup some of the costs of his recently updated flooring. He has us over a barrel because we are on the main land. In any case we are going to pursue getting our money back. We DID NOT cause any damage! I urge you to look elsewhere for your vacation plans. There are a lot of nice alternatives out there!

The only positive thing I have to say.....the unit is very well stocked. Lots of towels and kitchen items.

Owner's Response: This review is unwarranted, written with malice and retaliatory in nature. This particular renter caused damages to the brand new hardwood flooring at this property. The renter's were notified that their damage deposit would be forfeited. The renter's asserted that if they did not receive a refund, they would write and submit a bad review in retaliation. The floors were damage free prior to their check in but found to be heavily damaged after they left. They are not entitled to a refund and have forfeited their deposit due to their own negligence. Their outrageous allegations that they have been swindled is outlandish. Their deposit was not illegally obtained nor was it illegally withheld. The cost for the repairs well exceeds the amount of the renter's deposit. These people were deceitful about the damages and have refused to pay for the remaining balance that is due for the cost of the repairs. The damages to the rental property consisted of scarring to the wood with numerous deep scratches some of which are over 3 feet in length. On the day of their departure, the people left the rental prior to a scheduled walk through inspection and avoided the inspection altogether. When the owner arrived to do the inspection at the appointed time, the renter's were already gone and the damages to the flooring were discovered. The renter's were immediately notified about the damages. They responded by putting the blame on the cleaning woman and wrongfully accused her as being the culprit. In reality, this family is solely responsible for the damages to the wood flooring. There were no other renters during the period that coincides with this family's stay. These people also claimed that the premises were found untidy which is untrue. The property has always been thoroughly cleaned prior to each and every renter's arrival. In actuality, the renter's did in fact bring into the house, lots of beach sand and bits of coral that were scattered throughout the floors which proved to be harmful to the wood floors. There have been past incidents involving other damages to the rental property. The prior incidents were always settled immediately without any dispute. The responsible parties were honest people who immediately reported the damages and owned up to their mistakes. The owner has always strived to provide the best accommodations and will continue to do so to make everyone's stay an enjoyable experience.

Great stay and perfect accommodations!

My review is long overdue! Communication with Carlton (owner/manager) was very responsive and helpful. Owner lives close by so if there was any issues he would be available to attend to locally. There were some communication/misunderstandings in the beginning but was able to work out with the owner to resolve quickly. The property is located in the Ko Olina area which is perfect if you want a getaway. The 4 lagoons in the area provided a perfect way to spend a morning, day or sunset. We were even able to catch a glimpse of sea turtles! I have to admit that sunsets on this side of the island are perfect and unobstructed. The golfcart on the property was a great way to get around to the lagoons. In the immediate local area there are a few restaurants to dine for lunch and dinner. There's a convenience shop where you can pick up any snacks for the beach. The local resorts in the area provide great options for fine dinning. Larger grocery retail stores are available in Kapolei just before you head into Ko Olina. The rental itself was very clean and provided all the accommodations we needed. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Pantry was well stocked with spices from past visitors which was a nice added bonus. Having a washer and dryer in the property also allowed us to clean our daily beach attire/towels.

We have family on the island so spent some time traveling all over. Not too far from many locations but do keep in mind it's a good 30-40 mins from Honolulu. This location was great for us which allowed us to be away from the "city" and enjoy our vacation.

Overall I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a smooth rental process and a comfortable place to stay with family or friends. And if you need any advice Carlton (owner/manager) is very very helpful! Aloha!

Great Vacation - loved Ko Olina and staying at the Fairways

THE MANAGEMENT: Most important to me as the renter is that the owner / manager was very honest, helpful, and trust worthy. I could not expect my interaction with him to be any more pleasant. THE LOCATION: Ko Olina was perfect for us. We loved the community, short golf cart drive to the coves, we could see fish and turtles each day in cove 2 (our favorite). We had thought about staying at the Disney Resort at Ko Olina. We visited it during our stay and felt thankful we opted for this condo instead of the Disney. Disney was a zoo and stressed us out just walking through it. We have a 3 year old and it would have been a challenge keeping an eye on him there. Plus, I did not like the Disney cove as much as cove #2. We also liked the location on Oahu near Kapolei so we were fairly close to the grocery stores; Costco; and some restaurants though we did most dinners at the condo. The only downside to Ko Olina is that it is on the far SW side of Oahu so if you want to visit Honolulu or Wakiki it is a decent drive, 30 min to an hour depending on traffic. THE COMPLEX: The complex was everything we expected; the pool was very nice (only used it 2-3 times when our 3 year old did not get enough swimming at the coves). We used the grills at the pool twice (they just bought new grills during our stay) and had dinner at the pool one evening. Toward the end of our stay we even made friends with some of the very nice neighbors and watched sunsets with them. We would all drive out on the golf carts to the point by the marina for a beautiful sunset. THE UNIT: The unit was very much as described. The pictures were on this website are very accurate and the condo was in very good condition. The condo was very well equipped with cookware; laundry soap, TP, etc. It is even very well stocked with some cooking basics (salt, veg oil, etc. likely some of that has accumulated from previous renters - we left a few). There were plenty of beach toys for our 3 yr old. There were a few small maintenance/preference issues with the unit: Our elderly parents found the sofa hard to get up off of; one toilet flushed kind of odd and needed a plunger (that was there) once or twice; and some of our group found the beds hard. SUMMARY: We would give the location, the manager, and dealing with the manager 5 stars. We would give the unit 4 stars. So we felt and averaged the rating up to 5 stars cause we were pleased with our decision to stay here and would do it again.
