Beautiful Verona location
It was a lovely property. In a great location. We did have some confusion over the final cost but worked it out. There was some noise from construction that was annoying, Also the steps from upstairs to downstairs are difficult for older people are handicapped.
I loved the decor and location on the river. It was s different apartment than the ond we had seen online
Fantastic location, comfortable
The location is fantastic and the place was very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, just had to buy food. Furnishings, to include beds were comfortable as well as the temperature of the apartment. A wide array of tv channels to relax with as well. Will definitely look to stay again in the future!
Perfect Apartment for Family of Five
Paulo’s apartment was absolutely perfect for our family of 5 (including 2 teenage sons) during our stay in beautiful Verona. Excellent location, central and walkable to everything - including only a 20 minute stroll to Juliet’s balcony. Comfortable beds, tremendous shower w/ deep soaking tub, adequately stocked kitchen. The outdoor balcony directly overlooking the Arno was a nice surprise. Paulo was the perfect host. We will stay here during our next trip to Verona.
The apartment location is close to the city center and has a spectacular view of the castle.
Our stay was for 20 days and the appartment had all of the conveniences of home, so we could enjoy a night out on the town and a cozy meal at home. I would definitely stay there again!
Make sure to clarify which apt you’re renting. Ok for a short stay
This apartment is in a traffic restricted area (or at least was when we arrived/departed). We had to drive around a traffic control zone and were stopped by police who waved us on. We also drove around 2 other traffic control signs as it was the only way to get to the apartment. Paola gave us the sat nav location & directions to find the courtyard for parking.
As another reviewer mentioned, the photos are a little confusing. When I booked “Casa Archi” and received my confirmation, it was for “Casa Archi 2”. We had a lovely view of the river and castle from the windows but there was no balcony. This apt was photos 1-16.
We were able to park our car in the secured lot & check in early which was great. Paola had said we could park & come back later if our apt hadn’t been ready. We met housekeeping when we arrived and paid the 10Euro for parking and 4Euro for city tax (2 ppl).
The apt was on three different levels with 4-6 stairs in between so it felt larger than the square footage. It was nice to have two bathrooms (one full with shower / one half bath off of the bedroom) The upstairs loft area (bedroom and small bathroom) ceiling height is quite low. I could stand upright and the beams brushed the top of my head (5’6”/167cm tall). My SO had to stay very bent over or hit his head. The shower in the bathroom did not drain so we had to keep shutting the water off during our shower to prevent a flood. We let Paola know upon our departure since we were just there one night.
The kitchen had most things you’d need for meals. There was also a Nespresso coffee maker with directions on where to get pods if needed.
The area we stayed was very quiet and check in/out was very easy. We would recommend the apt for a short stay and for the price/views but don’t think we’d have been happy staying longer due to the low upstairs ceiling.
I'm sorry to hear that you did not understand what apartment you would have because I always specify to all guests which ones are the photos that correspond to the apartment where they will be saying because i have 2 apartments advertised in the same ad. Moreover the house is in the historical center of Verona but immediately outside the limited traffic area and all the guests always arrive without problems.
I also want to specify that all apartments have small balconies or terraces on the river with the view of Castel Vecchio.
Awesome apartment and wonderful host
My wife and I stayed three days in this fantastic apartment and had a blast. It’s located in a quiet part of the city with many local restaurants and cafes and only 10 minutes walking distance to the historic city center and Juliet’s balcony area. It has the best view in the city as well, with a small balcony perched over the river with views of the whole area. Paola is warm and inviting and knows the whole area well. The apartment is clean, the water pressure is good, the a/c is ice cold and it’s even nicer than it looks online. Book this place and you will not be disappointed with your stay in Verona.
