Recently Modernised 2-bedroom Apartment With Stunning Views of Beach & Sea
Attractive upstairs apartment, in beach-side house with communal patio, leading directly onto one of the quietest and most beautiful beaches on the West Coast, with excellent swimming and snorkelling in the crystal waters of the Caribbean. Comprising 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, the other with en-suite shower room and washing machine. There is a well-equipped modern kitchen for the chefs among your party. The lovely light sitting room, with stunning views of the Caribbean and the beach, has a cooling breeze blowing through it for most of the year. In essence perfection.
The village shopping centre and supermarket are within easy reach on foot. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, including the world-renowned Cliff. We are 1.5 km away from Sandy Lane and its world-class golf facilities. Waters sports, fishing, and glass-bottomed boats are virtually on the doorstep - and, if requested, many will pick you up from the beach.. For those who don’t wish to hire a car the bus stop is nearby, and the buses run frequently up until 11.30 pm. The apartment has Wifi internet access and on site security.
Little Reef is well situated for multiple activities. From the very beautiful beach, a few short steps away, there is snorkelling on the reef, where you may spot one of the resident turtles, meandering among shoals of brightly coloured fish. Boating and water sport activities are also on offer from operators on the way to the big resorts past Sandy Lane. Fishermen bring their daily catch into Fitts Village, just in front of Jordan's Supermarket, a five-minute walk along the beach.
For those who don’t want to miss the exploits of their favourite team, Wendy’s sports bar is just a couple of minutes away, across the road. Wendy's also have a snack bar. Alternatively there’s the Surfside bar in Holetown (15 minutes away by bus and car), a great spot for being on the beach and watching the footie at the same time. Holetown is also the place to go to if you want a bank, pizza or the larger Massy’s supermarket, which will deliver your shopping if you don't have a car. Holetown also boasts plenty of watering holes and restaurants. Bridgetown and the South Coast are around twenty minutes by car and the buses run regularly.
If you just want to chill out Little Reef’s balcony is a great place for watching the frigate birds wheeling above, maybe a fisherman making a catch, and world go by – and, if you are up early and very, very, lucky you may get a glimpse of a monkey in the nearby shack-shack tree. If you want take a tan back home Little Reef has a lovely sunny patio, or you can take the extra few steps to the beach. At the end of the day there is often nothing better than a walk along the beach or just watching a beautiful sunset and the boats making for home, while you enjoy a sundowner.

About Richard Britton
Paula and I live in Cyprus and have been visiting and living in Little Reef over the last 35 years with our family. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Richard Britton purchased this Apartment in 1981
Why Richard Britton chose Fitts Village
This is a family property which my late father bought when he was working in Barbados. He spent up to 4 or 5 months living in it every year and he last visited in 2013 when he was in his 99th year. The property has been used by 4 generations of our family and is much loved by all, as is the island of Barbados and its people.
What makes this Apartment unique
Little Reef is thought of with affection by all members of our family, because of its location on a beautiful white sand bay untouched by commercialism, and the many happy vacations spent there. The perfect place for chilling out.

Stunning views, beautiful villa, as beachfront as you can get!!
We loved our stay at Little Reef. Will never forget our experience. The most amazing views!! Villa was laid out very well and just as pictures showed. Richard (the owner) responded quickly to every question and was extremely informative. Grantley (the neighbour) was excellent at responding to our needs and showing us around. Shirley (housekeeper) called to see if we needed anything. We felt we were well taken care of !! First class service. Thank you Richard for letting us experience the beautiful Barbados in your wonderful villa. Heather, Barry, Rhianna, Boe
Stunning beach location, wonderful hospitality
We just spent a week at Little Reef with family from Trinidad. This cute beach front apartment was all that we had hoped for - it is meters from the beach , with an uninterrupted panorama out to sea from the stunning west coast . What sunsets ! Breathtaking ! The owner, Richard, was very helpful prior to the visit. And Grantley, who lives next door, was always on hand to help during the week’s stay. We only wish it had been longer !
I can not recommend it highly enough - either as a base from which to take trips and explore the island, or as somewhere to stay to completely unwind (with a G&T, or two).
A beautiful relaxing view ....
My husband and I loved everything about Little Reef; the quiet location on the island away from most of the hustle and bustle but only a short bus ride away to restaurants, beaches and groceries; although Jordans Grocery was our main stop - they had all of the necessities.
We walked along the beach everyday, swam in the beautiful warm waters and enjoyed the sunset from the never ending ocean view. One week wasn't long enough - so we will be back.

Love Little Reef
This is our second time staying at little Reef. Absolutley love the island of Barbados. Hired a cab this time and did a tour of the island with many highlighted stops. Also enjoyed a day in Bridgetown. Grantley, Esta and Shirley took good care of us at the villa. Always available if you need anything. Forgot a carry on suitcase in the taxi when we arrived and Shirleys daughter tracked down the taxi cab/ via through the airport asap, we had it back in our hands in 24hrs. Thank you for that! Little Reef has the best swimming hole around. Beach is great there! Highly recommend this villa!
Delightful Apartment on a stunning beach!
My husband and I have just returned from a really relaxing 5 week stay at Little Reef!
The apartment was perfect for the two of us, spacious and well equipped, but the best part is the stunning view!! And the fact that you have just a few steps from the patio and you are down on the fabulous, unspoilt Fitts Beach, good for swimming and snorkelling or a long walk. Idyllic!!
We passed much time just watching the waves, the cruise ships sailing into Bridgetown, and the stunning sunsets, a fabulous way to while away the hours!
There is so much to do in Barbados I can't write it all in this review, but you are welcome to ask me any questions, we have visited Barbados many times. Apart from the beaches and water sports available, there are gardens, churches, an abbey, caves, pottery, great restaurants, farmers markets, and much more to see and explore. Little Reef is in a good location for getting everywhere.
What I will say is that Jordons supermarket is just a short walk from Little Reef where you can buy most things needed, or its just a short bus/car ride into Holetown where there is a much bigger store.
We hired a car but the buses are easy to use, there is always one around.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars in Holetown if you don't want to cook in. There are a variety of shops to browse in from the Chatel houses to Limegrove, to stall holders.
Richard and Paula the owners are very helpful indeed and are always at the end of the phone should you need them. Plus Grantley and Shirley are there in Barbados to answer questions too.
We cant wait to stay at Little Reef again when we return to Barbados.
Condo is well located and includes all items necessary for a comfortable stay. Swimming access is a few meters to the left from the condo. Water is pleasant and warm almost every day, a rare wavy day did occur once during our 3 week stay. We were usually alone on the beach. Plenty of beach items in closet, including chairs and coolers. Cookware and table service well supplied. In unit washer was perfect. There is air conditioning in bedrooms, we did not use it as the constant breezes kept us very comfortable. Bus transport available on road behind condo. 2 Bajan dollars per ride. I did enjoy walking to Jordan’s for groceries, we always walked along the beach. Much easier and more pleasant than walking along the side of the road. Jordan’s is well stocked and has all of the essentials, including a good supply of rum. It is also better priced than the new Massey’s in Holetown. We did, however enjoy some of the baking now available at Massey’s. My favourite part of this condo was the view. Sitting in the comfortable chairs at the railing seeing nothing but beautiful ocean. Grantley, the caretaker, lives next door and was prompt in addressing our request. Shirley, the housekeeper checked in regularly to ensure we were comfortable. Owners very easy to work with. I highly recommend this rental and hope to return.
Fitts Village is predominantly a residential area virtually untouched by commercialism. For golfers there are 5 courses within half an hour's drive, including 3 courses at Sandy Lane and the Royal Westmoreland only 5 minutes away. A short trip along the road to Holetown brings you to the Chattel houses, which contain local arts and crafts for sale - and for non- shoppers you can have a coffee and read the paper. For divers the West Side Scuba Centre is in the same location The Earthworks Pottery, which is only a 15/20 minute drive way is well worth a visit. Speightstown, with its historic buildings - some dating back to soon after the first settlement of Barbados - is 15/20 minutes beyond Holetown. Bridgetown, which is a short trip by bus or car, also has historic buildings, the beautiful Carenage where boats moor, fish and vegetable markets, good shops, and for cricket lovers the Kensington Oval.
