Jardin du Luxembourg: A sailing we will go Sunday to the very popular Jardin du Luxembourg. This little green oasis on the bustling left bank has over 60 acres of formal gardens extending from the Palais du Luxemburg. You’ll discover over 100 statues, be amazed by the splendid baroque 17th century Fontaine de Medici, comforted on a hot summer day by the many leaf-shaded avenues and roll back to old world living as you gaze upon the famous octagonal pond where for generations families have been bringing their children to push their toy sailboats. Let the world pass you by as you sit in one of the wrought-iron chairs and watch the strollers, necking couples, old men playing boules and chess players. Stop by to the children on pony rides or peak into the marionette house before stopping for a café at the open –air café.
All around the apartment, you will enjoy the area and all the restaurants, shops, bakeries. '.

My daughter and I spent nine days in Paris in June 2014. This apartment was perfect for us, very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed -- coffee pot, fridge, washer/dryer, good shower, We could leave the windows open at night and not hear a peep -- except when France won their two earlier-round World Cup games! It was so close to Luxembourg Park that we visited multiple times and had several picnics there. Also close to several metro stops. There are also some good restaurants nearby, including traditional French, as well as sushi, Greek and Russian. Several good bakeries, a wine shop and fromagerie. What more could we have asked for? Elevator was small but worked fine. We walked down, but needed it on the way up after a full day around town. Paul-Regis showed us everything we needed to know when we arrived and we took it from there.
My wife and I spend a week in Sep 2013 in Paul-Regis (P-R) apartment. Other than the initial challenge of entering into the building with an old entry code, everything else went smoothly. Reading the other reviews is recommended as they are accurate. We did visit the Luxembourg Park and recommend it. P-R recommended a few places to eat and we liked the Vietnamese restaurant very much (my wife has still been talking about it). We used 7 carnets (70 Metro tickets) purchased at a family run tabac store (smoke shop) nearby on Bd du Montparnasse, and found that it's the best value to travel within Paris under and above ground rather than purchasing individual tickets. Inspectors do check on validated tickets--we were checked twice in one day. Instead of taking the hop on and off bus, we took bus #69 which runs through the main sights. I recommend taking the Batobus cruising the Seine (www.batobus.com) for familiarization and taking pictures; it docks right at the Eiffel Tower. Even though the unit is small, there is a separate shower stall and bathtub (both seemed to be recent renovations); and a I used the fold out couch bed and find it very comfortable. The apartment is very secure and just around the corner of Bd du Montparnasse, but quiet. The location is very convenient to Vavin subway station, restaurants, convenience stores, bakeries, etc. One thing that we were grateful to P-R is that at the day of our departure, he was entering the building as we were leaving to take the subway to Gare du Nord to London. It was drizzling and he carried my wife's luggage to the subway station--this is much appreciated since we are seniors. Merci beaucoup, Paul-Regis.
My daughter and stayed at this apartment for 12 days this month. First off, it has an elevator, which is a real plus because numerous properties in European cities don't. The property is small but roomy enough for several people, keeping in mind that properties in Paris are not "super-sized" as they are in the States. The area is very safe and upscale. There are fish and cheese stores 2 blocks from the apt. Also, on Saturdays, there is a fantastic fresh produce market just 4-5 blocks from the apt. That same market area holds a crafts and art market on Sundays. There is also a Metro station just a few steps or so from the apartment. Once on the Metro, you have all of Paris at your fingertips. Paul-Regis has thought through the needs of his guests and has a very comprehensive "book" that covers the operation of the tv, cable, washer/dryer, etc. and he has a hair dryer which works great! He welcomed us with a bottle of champagne, which was so considerate. He gave us suggestions regarding restaurants. The apartment was clean and had all amenities. One word of advice, bring flip flops or house shoes. The carpet is rough if you have tender feet. I would highly recommend this apt. To anyone. We never used the extra fold out couch bed, so I really can't speak as to its comfort, but it's a great couch for sitting. The bed was super comfortable and the bedroom was a nice size. The washer/dryer combo was easy to operate. There is even a coffee maker and also a tea maker. You will not be disappointed in this rental....a great value.
My wife and I stayed in this apartment for seven nights in September and we highly recommend it. The apartment was clean and comfortable and just as it was pictured. It was obvious, from the little touches, that the owner anticipated the needs of his guests. He was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The neighborhood was perfect for us. In addition to easy access to public transportation, there are countless restaurants within a few minutes walk, as well as shops, and, of course the Garden. With recommendations and tourist-tips, Paul-Regis is anxious to ensure that his guests get the most out of the city he is proud of. Thank you to Paul-Regis Label for helping make our visit to Paris a memorable one. Cheers!
My husband, 5 year old and 1 year old stayed here for 5 nights. It was the perfect home base to explore Paris. Just a few minutes walk to the metro and the RER with Luxembourg Park a couple blocks away. The area was family friendly, full of bakeries, restaurants, and farmer's markets. Paul was great and very responsive. At one point the shower wasn't draining well, and he was quick to fix it right away. The apartment is exactly as depicted in the photos, and there is even a large tub to bathe the kids in. We will definitely be back!
I stayed in this apartment for 3 weeks. It is located in an area very convenient to metros, restaurants, and Jardin du Luxembourg-all within a 5 to 10 minute walk. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Paris. The street is very quiet but close to many activities. The elevator was a real plus!
