About M stavridis
My name is Yiorgos Stavridis. I was born and raised on Rhodes Island. I am a real estate agent, but i have been building houses and renovating ruins and delapitated houses since 1981. This is my biggest love in my career, so if ever you are thinking of building or renovating a house, please feel free to drop me a line. If you visit any of my houses, you may meet my 11 year old daughter and my 12 year old son as well. They like welcoming our guests just as much as i do.
M stavridis purchased this Villa in 2004
Why M stavridis chose Koskinou
The Dream House has been in my family since 1876, for about 6 generations long. I inherited this property from my mother in 2004. When I got the Dream House it was in a state in which it needed severe renovation, and I have been working on it ever since.
What makes this Villa unique
What makes the Dream House so special is the unique and cozy atmosphere as well in the inside as the outside spaces. The outside living, with big dining, comfortable lounges, and an outside kitchenette, as well as the chloor free swimming pool, further finalize the special feeling.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Stunning property and location
Beautiful house , grounds , location - we were 7 adults including 1 couple . Perfect relaxation house . The old village is just outside the back door and the new village is out front . The feel was authentic rather than touristy . We had 2 cars to get us easily to wonderful beaches and to Rhodes Town . The proprietor Yiorgos and his assisting children and pup Pinky were a delight and very helpful . I can't imagine anyone not falling in love with the Dream House .
Me and my friends were amazed by the villa. It was beautifully decorated and extremely well kept. Yiorgos was an amazing host, he took care of any problems we may have had. Would definitely recommend.
Perfect holiday in "the Dream House"
We really enjoyed our stay in “the Dream House”. As a group of friends we go for a week holiday every year and we really liked this villa, especially the spacious and beautiful garden. We were with 7 persons, so almost everybody had his own bed and room, which were good. There is a nice BBQ area in the garden and a good butchery at 2 minutes walking distance with excellent meat. The nearest supermarket is small, but when you rent a car you can drive to a bigger supermarket.
Yiorgos was a real nice host who welcomed us with cold beers and some food (how cool is that). We were also able to stay longer in the villa at our last day (our flight was going in the evening). During the week Yiorgos visited us one time to bring us some fresh fruits and to check whether everything was okay for us.
The village of Koskinou is very nice with some lovely little restaurants. We also visited Rhodos Old Town and Lindos, both highly recommended. But our highest recommendation goes to Yiorgos and the Dream House, we had a fabulous week! Thank you, Yiorgos!
Thank you very much Ruben for your nice comments! Thank you very much for enjoying and respecting the place so much!! Hope to see you again
More than a dream house !
We had a great experience in the dream house during our stay.
As group of seven people we had enough room to stay together on different places all over the beautiful house, but also to be by yourself.
Nice location in a beautiful old village with some good taverns. We had two cars together to explore the island of Rhodos.
Lindos is definitely worth a trip. We stayed in contact with our host Yiorgos with WhatsApp, where we got all the support we needed.
Expect to stay in a house you will never forget!
Florjan Thank you very much for your nice words! It was my pleasure to have you as my guests. Hope to see you again.Sincerely Yiorgos
We stayed at the dreamhouse with our family: 4 couples, 2 singles, 4 children. The house looks exactly as in the pictures, but those pictures can't tell about the vibe this house has. It is a quiet oasis in a lovely village. When you get out the back or the front-door there are lovely restaurants to go to. Rhodoscity is only 20 minutes by car or taxi. Yiorgos did everything and more than we expected to make us comfortable. We loved the place. Strongly recommended!
Built at the northern end of the island in 408 BC; the town stretches from the hills of Monte Smith all the way to the Medieval City, to Mandraki port and on to the beaches beyond – just a few miles to the east.
Rhodes is considered one of the best planned cities designed by Hippodamus, with a checkerboard road network, much of which has survived until the current day. Its unique makeup is based mainly on the extensive architectural projects constructed by the Knights of St John and later by the Italians.
Today, Rhodes town is the second most highly populated town in the Greek islands. Second only to Heraklion in Crete and in spite of its tourist development its unique identity has remained untouched. At the same time Rhodes is vibrant all year round with an intense professional and social life, with modern shopping centres, multi-cinemas, theater stages, acclaimed restaurants and even a famous Casino. Rhodes is an active multicultural society that regularly hosts International sporting and cultural events.
With 56,000 residents, nearly 50% of the island’s total population, Rhodes City is the capital of the Dodecanese and an important administrative and commercial center of the Aegean.
On the outskirts of the city and within just 6-7 km, the smaller towns of Ialyssos and Koskinou complement the suburban landscape, bringing the total population of the commuter triangle of the island, Rhodes – Ialyssos – Koskinou to 72,000.
The economic prosperity of the city resulted in the growth of one of the most viable real estate markets in the country. Both commercial and residential property have experienced steady growth over the last forty years and have sustained remarkable stability in the recent times of economic crisis in Greece.

Kalithea Springs is just a few minutes away by car and is located between the two holiday resorts, Kalithea and Faliraki, in the northern part of Rhodes. Kalithea Springs is a spa which dates back to the classical Antiquity, but the current facilities were built by the Italians in 1929. After a thorough renovation, the beautiful facilities reopened as a museum with an adjoining beach in the summer of 2007. The beach here is fairly small but it is peaceful and the surroundings are very beautiful. It is located in a bay with sun lounges on both sides. On the one side, there is also a restaurant/café. The beach is a mixture of sand, gravel and pebbles and the water is shallow and calm. There is a small entrance fee to Kalithea Springs, however, the sun loungers are free
Distance from villa Grande Dame to Kallithea Springs 6,2km (10 minutes drive)
Koskinou is located just 7km from Rhodes town. It lies on top of a hillside and is one of the most important traditional villages on the island with dozens of beautiful homes which have maintained to this day their unique characteristics; The center of the village is a maze of narrow streets whilst from many other points, the views of the sea and the coast of Asia Minor, are impressive. Just 2km away are Kalithea Thermal Springs and the blue flag beaches of Faliraki.
The village is well known locally for its traditional sweet melekouni. Melekouni is honey and sesame bars which are made for traditional celebrations such as weddings and baptisms and handed out to all the guests after the celebration. They symbolize posperity and fertility, and are very particular to Rhodes.
The region has experienced vigorous residential development in the last twenty years, primarily from Rhodians, because of its close proximity to the city. A notable development was the purchase of traditional village properties, a significant number of which have been renovated especialy from foreigners and are used as rental properties.
