This appartment is perfect for groups or families of maximum 6 persons. It has 3 bedrooms, one with a bunk bed, two with double beds. There is living room with a small kitchen in it with everything you need to cook yourself a lovely meal.The apartment has its own private entrance on the ground floor which leads you directly into the living room with open kitchen. The sofa is actually a bed sofa which gives you two extra sleeping places. There are two double bedrooms and one room with a bunk bed. The bunk bed has an extension bed underneath, so the kids can even sleep with three in one room. The toilet is separate from the bathroom.

About Yvonne van der Valk

We are Valentin and Yvonne van der Valk, both Dutch. During our cycling trip of 2 years from Holland to Thailand we searched for a place where we could start a home away from home; for ourselves and for others. This home we found at the end of our trip in 2010 in Puy Saint Vincent. We started with running the local campsite, because we love being outdoor and we started working together with another Dutch couple (Ilonka and Vincent Biermans) who own Catered Chalet AlpeLune. Then we got the opportunity to buy Hotel Saint Roch and started living in the chalet just opposite of the hotel. In this chalet there are 2 more apartments, so the other 2 we rent out. Because we love the mountains and it's great to share this with other people and make sure they have a great time during their holiday.

You only have to crosse the street and you'll find yourself at the ski slopes of Puy Saint Vincent. This apartment is situated on the edge of the Ecrins National Park, in the Vallouise Valley, 50 meter from the ski lifts of the top rated family ski resort of Puy St Vincent. And the famous skiing of Serre Chevalier with 250km of pistes is only 20 minutes away.

The Serre Chevalier lifts can be reached in around twenty minutes. The small 'secret' resort of Pelvoux is at the end of the Valley, just 15 minutes away. Also within easy reach are the resorts of Montgenèvre, Risoul / Vars, and La Grave. A weeks ski pass at Puy St Vincent also gives you a day in each of these resorts, plus a day in Alpe d'Huez and Les 2 Alpes!

- In the summer the Vallouise valley and Briançon area offers every alpine adventure possible!

Hiking - Beautiful hikes start at the frontdoor of the apartment. You can take it easy or hike to the highest point of Puy Saint Vincent, La Pendine at 2750 m. The hike to the famous Glacier Blanc starts only 30 minutes by car away.

Via Ferrata - The nearest Via Ferrata is only a twenty minutes walk away.

Climbing - Some of the most popular and famous climbing areas such as Ailefroide and Freissinières are just a few km's away. And just above the chalet (15 minutes walk) you already find some walls for the experienced climber.

Rafting and Kayaking - From the apartment it's only ten minutes to the point where the Durance and Gyronde rivers meet, and it's only 10 kilometre to L’Argentière la Bessée where the European Championships are held.

Canyoning - Fournel, Tramouillon, Eychauda & Pra Reboul Canyon's all within a few km's.

Mountain Biking / VTT - Several tracks start at the front door. And just across the street you'll fint the ski lift that takes you and your mountain bike up to 2000 meter, where several down hill tracks start. The Vallouise valley is known for her tracks and parks for professionals and children alike.

Road Biking - Famous cols like the Galibier, the col d'Izoard and Col du Vars make a great day tour from the apartment. And we love to show you the less famous but just as beautiful cols from the area. Alpe d'Huez is hundred km's away. Several years Le Tour de France has passed the Vallouise valley, just 5 km's away from the chalet.

The Hautes-Alpes department offers the most incredible selection of road biking for the real enthusiast. This area has many of the most celebrated climbs and descents in road biking history.

Family Activities - Adventure Parcs, Horse Riding, Paragliding, Quad Biking, Summer Tobboggan, Lakes with beaches and pedalos, Indoor and outdoor swimming pools with slides, and even year round Ice Skating.


Charming Vallouise is only 4 km away and offers some nice restaurants and bars. The small town of L'Argentiere La Bessee is 10 km from the chalet with supermarkets, bars, and restaurants and everything needed for a weeks holiday. The highest (and sunniest!) town in Europe, Briancon is just over 20 mins away.


The nearest major airport is Turin in Italy situated approximately one and a half hours / two hours drive away.

The nearest French airport is at Grenoble and is approximately two and a quarter hours drive from the airport to the chalet. Whilst the airports at Marseille and Lyon can be easily reached in under three hours by motorway / autoroute. From the airport of Marseille there is shuttle at saturdays during the winter season that takes you straight up to Puy Saint Vincent for around 36€ both ways. British Airways fly daily to Turin from London Gatwick from £40 each way. BA also fly to Lyon & Marseille.

Easyjet has just announced a new winter weekend route from Gatwick to Turin, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Easyjet also fly to Grenoble, Lyon and Marseille.

Ryanair offer flights to Grenoble, Lyon and Marseille from Stanstead, and also to Cuneo from Dublin.


The train station in L'Argentiere la Bessée 10 km away runs services to Briançon, Gap and Valance, and also has an overnight service to Paris. There are connections at Paris to Lille, Calais and the Eurostar to the UK.


Puy Saint Vincent is approximately 660 miles from Calais and can be reached by car in around 10 hours.
