This stunning 18th Century holiday chateau with private swimming pool is situated in the quaint medieval village of Siorac-en-Perigord, on the banks of the River Dordogne, close to the many attractions of this beautiful area of France.

The famous medieval market town of Sarlat is 25 minutes away and Bergerac airport is only 45 minutes by car.

This impressive chateau lies within an acre of private walled gardens, in tranquil surroundings yet within minutes of local amenities. The views from the garden and the chateau are superb.

The 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom chateau has been completely renovated whilst retaining many of its original features. The rooms are spacious and light with high ceilings, large windows and stone floors. All the rooms are tastefully styled with beautiful antique furniture.

In the grounds there is a summer cottage which can accommodate an additional 2 or 3 guests. It comprises of 1 double and 1 single bedroom, a shared bathroom, and a combined lounge/dining area and small galley kitchen. The cottage is also available to rent, on it's own, outside the months of July & August. Please contact us for further details.

The delightful and well kept garden has many shaded areas suitable for al fresco dining, a sunny courtyard and the private swimming pool (11 x 5 m) is alarmed for safety.

There is a plaque on the wall by the front door commemorating the chateau's importance during the 2nd World War. It became a centre for the resistance Movement harbouring a number of British Soldiers.

Entrance Hall leads to summer lounge area with satellite tv, dvd player, comfortable sofas and armchairs. Internet available.

Spacious main lounge area with fireplace, beamed ceiling, paintings, lamps, large windows, comfortable sofas and armchairs.

The lounge leads into the large kitchen dining room, with dining table, chairs and fireplace.

The kitchen has an American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, microwave and sink. Plenty of cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses.

Separate bathroom with toilet, wash basin and bath with hand held shower.

Second Floor:

3 large and spacious double bedrooms, all with en suite facilities, wardrobe space, bedside tables and lamps.

Separate toilet and wash basin in the hallway.

One twin and one triple bedded room.

A Chef and Housekeeper can be provided on request. Linen changed mid stay for minimum two week booking 150€ extra charge for pets. 1500€ security deposit required. There is no telephone at the chateau but WiFi is available. Neither Poolside or the property owners are liable for any loss or interruption of the internet service.

Lovely property in great location

We had a wonderful time, the Chateau was beautiful and the Dordogne area was fantastic- very pretty, friendly people, fantastic food and wine - what more could you ask for in a holiday? The owner was very nice and was on hand to deal with any issues or questions, but we didn't have any. The Chateau is in an attractive small town with a couple of nice restaurants and easy access to the supermarket, just across the main road. We will definitely return

A non-refundable 30% deposit of total rental is required to reserve the booking. Final balance, together with a refundable damages deposit of £1400 (1500€), is payable 8 weeks before the holiday begins. Providing there is no serious damage to property, facilities or swimming pool, the damages deposit is returned 8 days after the end of the holiday.

Prices for this property are quoted in Euros. Prices in GB Pounds sterling available on request.

The 2 bedroom summer cottage, suitable for 2 or 3 people, is available to rent in the peak season, as extra accommodation alongside the Chateau. It is also available to rent on its own in May, June and September. Please contact us for more details.

There is an additional charge of 150€ for pets.
