Can't wait to come back

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at the Cozy Knotty Pine Lake Front Cottage twice now, and cannot wait to go back! The cottage is very clean and "cozy". It is PERFECT for our family of four. We ate every meal on the porch, overlooking the beautiful lake. The dock is right out the front door and perfect for swimming and fishing. Large windows create a nice breeze, but fans are available within the cabin for warmer nights.

Tom and Cathy are wonderful to work with! I would definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends.

It was great!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time, the weather was good most of the week, but you can't control that. We were pleased with the cottage and felt at home. The place was very Clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and it was a plus that we had our beds already made when we arrived. Its a little small for a family but great for 2 or 4 adults. Great place and hope to rent it again. And loved having fans already there we put ours back in the car. The only think we didn't like about the place is we couldn't dock our boat at the dock, had to anchor it in the water.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, It's always nice to hear that people had a good time and enjoyed our cottage. Thank you for your kind thoughts! Because our cottage is a part of an association, we have to abide by the rules of the association. One of those rules is that boats cannot be docked for an extended period unless they are on a lift. With the size and shallowness of the lake, summer storms have a way of coming up and creating waves that can cause dock damage with the boat in the water. Docks are just too expensive! And so are the boats!

Awesome Vacation Get-a-way

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I needed a vacation and decided to choose this beautiful little 2 bedroom cabin located on West Shore of Houghton Lake. It was the best choice we could have made. The access to the water couldn't have been any easier. My husband and I are both avid fisherman so the water access was perfect. However, if you don't have a boat to go fishing, no fear, you can fish right of the end of the dock located directly in front the cabin. We also met some wonderful people who live year round in cabins behind the cabin we stayed in they were so friendly and helpful with this being our first stay in the Houghton Lake area in over 20 years. We liked it so much we are thinking of buying a cabin close to this one. The cabin was very clean and well laid out. The back screened in porch and deck were so nice to have and a perfect place to enjoy our morning coffee, over-looking the beautiful water. Would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a clean and well equipped place to stay. Only thing we needed to bring was our selfs, some towels and our food, can't get any easier than that! Thanks Tom for allowing my husband and I to enjoy your beautiful cabin and if we do not get our own soon enough, we will be contacting you again,

Super cute and cozy!!!

  • 4 of 5

Cottage is VERY clean and neat. Lake access is wonderful, dock is right outside the front door. My young kids had a blast jumping off the dock into the sandy bottom of the lake. Everything is there that you will need. Just bring your towels and food for the stay! I will recommend this property to friends that have a family of 4 or less!!! Thanks Tom!

Absolutely Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

I wasn't sure what to expect when packing for the cabin, so I packed light. Thankfully - They had literally EVERYTHING we needed minus food. The cabin was comfortable, EXTREMELY clean, and very well taken care of. The may flies hatched the day we came unfortunately so we were not able to go outside much (only downfall but nothing you can do).... luckily we had a comfortable couch and cable to keep us entertained for a few days! I would recommend this cottage to ANYONE looking for a place to stay. Whether it be for a few nights, or an extended period - you will NOT be disappointed! I can't wait to return!

It was awesome, can't wait to go back!

  • 5 of 5

We were there for 5 days and four nights and will definitely go back. We went to Hartwick Pines one day and enjoyed the local Craft Show in town. There was a grill to use at the cabin, so we cooked out and my son went fishing off the dock, so cool.
