About Laurie and Tom Edes
We live 2 miles away by road and 1 mile away by canoe. We have lived on the lake for 12 years and love this little piece of Heaven.
Laurie and Tom Edes purchased this Cottage in 2009
Why Laurie and Tom Edes chose Glenburn
We used to walk past this cottage on our morning walks. We loved the setting and had always said if it ever came on the market, we would love to buy it for a vacation rental to allow others the opportunity to enjoy a little piece of heaven at the lake. When it became available, we were delighted. When you walk in the door from the driveway, you have the sensation that you are on a houseboat, as the lake fills your view through the front windows.
What makes this Cottage unique
The view when you walk through the door from the driveway is breath-taking. The loons frequently swim close to shore and serenade you at nightfall.

It was very comfortable and relaxing
My boyfriend & I went with another couple and absolutely loved it! The dining room over looks the lake and has beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Beds are quite comfortable too. Kitchen is stocked with everything...cooking utensils, plates, cups, pans, even cooking seasonings which is super convenient. Only wish there was more then just one canoe. Definitely will come back!
Peaceful spot with sunrise views
Our first morning there I happened to wake as the sun came in our bedroom window and walked into the living room to see the sun just coming up over the lake - what a beautiful site!
The next morning there was a mystical fog covering the lake. The cottage is right on the water and is so peaceful. The neighbors were friendly and waved as we came and went. The house worked perfectly for us and had all the amenities of home. Thank you !
Wicked awesome location!
This was the perfect 2-3 day getaway location!
Worked out perfect for a visit with our son who attends UMO. The sunrise was beautiful.
Clean, neat, affordable
This cabin had a perfect location close to Bangor yet you were able to remain secluded right on the lake. We enjoyed watching the sunset and sunrise. Owners were very nice and the cabin was clean.
Located 10 miles from Bangor on Pushaw Lake with easy access from I-95. Just minutes to local attractions. Attend the Bangor State Fair in July or the American Folk Festival in August. Try your luck at Hollywood Slots! Visit the coast of Maine, 90 minutes to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Visit Baxter State Park (home of Mt. Katahdin) or Moosehead Lake for a day approximately 2 hours north. Then return to your own private campfire and listen to the loons! A little piece of paradise awaits you!
