This is the ultimate getaway for you, your family and friends. This incredible 5000+ square foot under roof 'custom home' is located right on a beautiful sandy beach 30 minutes south of San Felipe. This 100 foot wide double lot is over one acre which allows you and your guests to enjoy the beach and the 'Sea of Cortez' from the many patios or from almost every room in the house. There is only desert and mountains behind the house so if you would like to do some off-roading the choices are endless.

This is our family beach house which we just completed a major high-end renovation. Please look at the photos. We (My wife and I plus our four kids ages 11-23)have been coming to this area south of 'San Felipe' for over twenty years and have enjoyed every trip. There is great fishing right out in front of the house, ancient fossil beds along the foothills behind the house and some really neat natural hot tubs twenty miles south.

You will not have any trouble filling your days with activities or just relax around the house or on the beach. If you have a small boat or Jet Ski it can be launched from in front of the house and we often go fishing, 'wake boarding' or water skiing. If you have quads or motorcycles bring them along, you can ride them almost anywhere.

Our beach house is located 30 minutes south of the City of San Felipe in an area of beach front vacation homes. The road is fast and good. I own the two vacant lots to the north so there is no neighbor to the north for at least 100 yard and to the south there is a second three bedroom custom home that belongs to me as well. I rent that house too if you need two homes or you need something a little smaller. To the south of the three bedroom house there is a wash and then more beach homes so there is a lot of privacy. About 5 minutes from the beach house there is a small town with a couple of restaurants and markets. The restaurant food is great, market supplies are limited but they carry all the basics.

We now have four children, three girls and one boy, who have all be coming to San Felipe with us since before any of them could walk. Why Brian West chose Northern Baja

We built this house in San Felipe because it is so close to Southern California. We can all hop in the car and be in San Felipe with in a 1/2 day. It is an inexpensive great trip.

What makes this house unique

Our home is in and area of unspoild desert and uncrouded beaches. You don't have to worry about the kids or really much of anything. It is super relaxing.

Dream vacation

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful spacious house sitting right on the beach. We were 4 adults and 5 kids and never felt like we were on top of each other.

We were happy to use the kayak and paddle boards that were there at our disposal.

We enjoyed the proximity of Puertecitos and its natural hot springs. It was nice to disconnect for a week and embrace the cellphone silence.

I would highly recommend staying at this house.

Marvelous!

Such a nice house! Five starts is not enough!!!

Went there the second weekend of October with group of friends and family for a little get weekend getaway, what can I say?

Right in front of the beach, well maintained, 100% equipped, decoration of the house is beautiful, the bedrooms are super comfy, the house caretaker was extremely polite attentive and responsive of our needs

The homeowner was very kind and made us feel right at home

the ocean is views are to die for!!

We definitely needed more days to spend time here.

You should definitely consider this home for your next weekend get away or vacation you will not regret it

Perfect

We love Baja California and the Mar de Cortez, and this was a fantastic place to stay. In the intertidal zone directly in front of the house, we found three species of brittle star, lots of the multi-rayed sun star, anemones, Mexico sea urchins, Magdalena chitons, at least 5 species of crabs, dozens of Fitch's octopus (many with their eggs), sulphur cucumbers, sand dollars and keyhole sand dollars, and at least 3 species of marine flatworms. Three species of lizards, plentiful praying mantises, a jackrabbit, a couple of unidentified (but cute) rodent species, turkey vultures, osprey, great blue herons, Heermann's gulls, yellow-footed gulls, black-bellied plover, willet, long-billed curlew, at least 3 species of terns, brown pelicans, Le Conte's thrashers, pipits, white-winged doves, double-crested cormorants, magnificent frigatebirds, and Brandt's geese all made appearances near the house.

The house itself and the patio are beautiful and very comfortable. We had far more space than we needed, as we expected to be 6 travelers but ended up being 2 adults and 2 kids. My 7- and 9-year-old children had a blast and asked for a return in the fall, perhaps accompanied by grandparents or another small family. The only drawback was the difficulty leaving in order to return to school and work!

2014 Labor Day Weekend Boys Trip

I took my three older sons (20, 24, and 27) and my two brothers-in-law to the house for a long four day Labor Day Weekend. The weather was 100 in the day and about 84 at night. For six guys, we found the accommodations perfect and roomy. We packed and brought all of our own food and water. Alan, the caretaker/neighbor, was phenomenal. He used his four wheel truck (necessary) to pull our jet ski trailer down to the water's edge and launch and retrieve the jet skiis in the morning and evening. The house is beautifully remodeled with ceiling fans in every room. Propane BBQ on the patio that we used to make hamburgers and hot dogs one evening. Location very safe and comfortable. Because it is 100 feet from the Sea of Cortez, there are almost no waves and with some wind, the waves are small.

The listing and photos accurately depict the house. The house was clean and well maintained. I must have emailed Brain 20 times before we used the house with many questions, and he was quick and very helpful in his responses. I would recommend the house to friends and relatives.

On our jet skiis, we pulled people with wake boards, water skiis, and knee boards. We swam in the 88 degree water all times during the day. The Palapa made it comfortable to sit under during the heat of the day as we read and played football on the beach. We went into San Felipe for lunch one day (20 mile drive) and bought some sky rockets to shoot on the beach at night.

Thoughts:

1. August/September is very hot. Be prepared for 100+ temperatures during the day and 80+ at night.

2. Bring all food and drink since town isn't close, also a small market with limited items in a couple miles away.

3. The tide rises and falls about 50 to 75 feet twice a day and down by the water and in some water close to shore are small rocks. Water shoes are a must.

4. ATT has phone service at the house. No service for Verizon. There is no WiFi.

5. There is a DVD player and so we brought our own DVD's to watch.

6. Be sure to always bring your passports.

Awesome beach front home - even better than the pics!!

We went for our annual Baja Trip this summer to the San Felipe side instead of Ensenada. The home was AMAZING and literally right on the water. We brought our Jet Ski and could launch right from the house (with a little help from Allen, the neighbor/caretaker)!! Super prompt replies and great experience on all levels... Also, super speedy deposit refund - a nice perk and not always the case these days!

Even more stunning than the pictures!

Just got back from a weekend with friends to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't have had a better time. The house looks great in the photos, but it's even more jaw-droppingly awesome in real life. It is indoor-outdoor living at it's finest and the owner, Brian and Alan, the neighbor/caretaker, go out of the way to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The house is stocked with everything you need to enjoy the beach, and little details (like a fresh sponge in the package at the kitchen sink) that make it easy to feel right at home. It is a little far from the town, but it was exactly what we were looking for- spending time floating in the warm Sea, relaxing on the patios, watching fish leap and admiring the stars. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for easy get-away that feels like it is a world away. I'm already planning a return trip!
