About Suzanne

Eric & Suzanne are Pacific Northwest Natives who enjoy fishing, hiking, skiing, and generally enjoying everything the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. They have owned the Hood Canal cabins since 2001, when they embarked on a painstaking renovation. We hope you love the cabins and Hood Canal as much as we do.

Suzanne purchased this cabin in 2001

Why Suzanne chose Hood Canal

The West side of Hood Canal offers both salt-water fun and hiking opportunities in the Olympic Peninsula. We can scuba dive, snowshoe, hike the Staircase, fish, and mountain climb, all within minutes of the cabin. Very few places in the world offer such diversity. Oh, and did I mention the oysters right outside the front door?

What makes this cabin unique

It's very relaxing. Not just the view of the water , fun on the beach, a soak in the hot tub or storm-watching in the winter, the cabins are warm and inviting. We're less than 2 hours from Seattle, but you really feel like you've gotten away from it all.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just arrived and we are excited to start this weekend with family and friends. Temp is cool 72. Blue skies & no wind! We have both cabins rented and are very happy with it! Thanks!

Special place on Hood Canal

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cabin, the location, and had a wonderful week here. We rented kayaks per owner's suggestion, and went out for three mornings, which was wonderful. Hiking at Lake Lena was beautiful. Made a trip to Port Townsend, not far away, wine tasting in Hoodsport. There's a good IGA in Hoodsport, and don't miss the oysters at Hama Hama Oysters - fabulous. We would highly recommend this place, and would definitely consider returning here.

So Cool!

  • 5 of 5

Outstanding property and owners. Just a great experience in a very cool cabin. It is very apparent that a lot of heart and effort went into the updating and decorating of the 1930's cabin. Very well equipped, well maintained, owners were very organized and great to deal with. Mooring buoy was well maintained with a new chain. We are recommending these cabins to friends and expect to return again for kayaking and crabbing. So nice to have a great VRBO experience on Hood Canal........the location and charm of the cabins and cove will be bringing us back.

We stay at homes all over the place and find that you just never know whether it will be clean and well maintained. This one was a very pleasant surprise with the cabin extremely clean and very adequately supplied. The owners were very responsive and helpful and are doing a great job of making the rental a good experience! Thank you for your attention to detail and sharing your cabin!

Awesome week!

  • 5 of 5

We just got home from staying 6 nights here. The house is excellent. Our kids went swimming right off the back deck, we caught crab, sat in the hot tub and just had a relaxing week. Thanks to the owners for their hospitality and kindness. We will be back!
