i purchased this property with a view to retiring here in the future as we both are Londoners born & bred, but in the meantime would like to let others have the pleasure of staying here for a much reduced cost when comparing to London hotels and of course some income for myself, both myself & my partner work in London and live just outside & will be on call for any enquiries or problems that might arise during your stay but we have Great system at the property and I send over all informations and area photos a few weeks before your arrival
Caroline purchased this Apartment in 2014

This turned out to be an excellent flat for our family of 3 as we spent 6 days in London and settled our daughter in for a year abroad while learning the city a bit and seeing the sights too. Location of this flat was wonderful; as described, easy access to the tube, walk for groceries, many dining options close by. (Highly recommend the Turkish restaurant near the dock, the proprietor and staff were charming as was the food.) And then such amazing things to do everywhere! Being so close to the Tower Bridge and the river was spectacular. The 3 bedroom flat was the perfect size though we spent only mornings and nights there. Clean, light, nicely decorated, very sufficient kitchen. Had to relearn over again the fun little intricacies that are purely British living. (One small and personal note, the lack of a flat sheet - a British thing is my guess - was my only argh moment as both my spouse and I sleep hot and duvets are not agreeable to that.) I greatly appreciated finding a few non-feather pillows as I have feather allergies. Good communication with the owners. Would stay here again and would highly recommend.
Thanks Christine you were fantastic clients and there are lighter Duvets in the airing cupboard 4.5 tog and unfortunately I changed them back to 9 tog just before your arrival as it was getting a bit chilly during the night 😊
Great location and experience
We spent the first week of July at this flat. Myself, my wife and our two teenage boys. Excellent location, close enough to everything in central London to be convenient, tucked away enough to make you forget you're in a major city. The flat is in a complex of other flats and during the entire week we never saw another person enter or exit a flat in the complex.
If you're from the States, don't forget things tend to be smaller and more compact in England than we're used to at home. On the ground floor, the kitchen suited it's purpose well, and the living room was more than adequate for a family of four or five. Eating is at a bar-type counter in the kitchen with tall stools, there is no dining room or nook. Bedrooms upstairs were more than adequate for a week's stay.
The week we were there was the hottest of the year so far (and in fact, the hottest in a few years). Generally 82 to 88 degrees F during the day, upper 60s at night. There is no air conditioning, but the humidity was low so we did not find it uncomfortable, if the windows were left open to let a breeze through.
The flat is right next to St. Katherine's Docks and Marina. Plenty of good restaurants. We were there during the Semifinals and Quarterfinals for the World Cup (with England winning both times), so it was quite raucous for a while.
The flat is about a 5-8 minute walk to the Tower Hill underground station, as well as the Tower Hill DLR. The District/Circle was closed for repairs the first Sunday we were there, so we had to walk to a different line about 20 minutes away, which was the only glitch. Probably could have a used a bus, but I hate overground in central London. There is a Waitrose less than a 5 minute walk from the flat as well, which is good for general groceries and for great takeaway (that you can heat in the oven). There is also a Tesco Express closer (and on the way to the Underground) for staples and they have very good sandwiches.
My only complaint is that there was only one set of keys provided. This is a problem, because if you are all not doing things together then you have to leave the key in the keybox, which is a pain. Also, if someone is staying back at the flat, then you have to leave the key with them because the only way to unlock the door from the inside is with the key. It would be beneficial to have two front door keys.
All in all, one of the few excellent places I've stayed (and I have stayed in London about two dozen times over the past 15 years)
thank you Robert and there are spare keys and if you’d mentioned this at the time i could have told you where they were? and i was on holiday myself and forgot to mention sorry about that regards
Clean, Convenient, Modern Flat in a Great Location!
Our family of 4 stayed at this flat in June 2018 and absolutely loved it. Caroline was great to work with - very helpful and responsive to questions. The location is fabulous... just steps away from Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Tesco Express, full grocery store, and restaurants, yet there is very little noise from city traffic and crowds. Tube station is a 10 minute walk away. The dock area is beautiful and peaceful... a great place for sitting out by the water and enjoying a meal or cup of tea. The flat itself is very clean and modern, with lots of space for a family and all the modern conveniences you need. (Just note that there is no lift, so you will need to carry your luggage up the outside stairway to get to the entrance, and then again up the interior stairway to get to the bedrooms. We had no problem with it at all, but it's a good thing to be aware of.) I would definitely stay at this location again if I am ever in London. Highly recommend!!!
Very nice flat with some access problems
The flat is lovely, extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and with very comfortable beds (not always the case with rentals). Additionally, it was amazingly quiet given that all the hustle and bustle of St. Katherine's Dock was just a few feet away. I would give it five stars except for a few problems. The biggest was the 'steps' leading up to the flat - they are 24 steep concrete and brick exterior stairs, and dragging our suitcases up them was not fun (we are in our 70s). We later discovered there is a lift (code needed) which made life a lot easier, but we would have appreciated having this information ahead of time. The lock on the gate was very difficult to open as it was somewhat rusty (a spray of sun tan oil helped). Finally the shower pan is extremely slippery. We did find a rather mildewed rubber mat for it in a cupboard.
This is the 1st time that the stairs or gate lock have been an issue and i told you the lift code within 5 minutes of receiving your mail !! when you book self catering apartments you cannot expect the service that a hotel offers !!
Wonderful location! Many restaurants where all the nice sail boats are kept. Safe and upscal.
Great 3 bedroom, bedrooms up and small living room and kitchen down. Is up one level from the street on nice courtyard type area. A perfect place for two couples or family with older children.
Walk through marina area to tube station - Tower hill. And groceries a short walk as waitrose is close by as well.
Only downside might be ...clothes washer, but no dryer, so have to hang clothes on rack to dry.
Really was otherwise perfect for a visit in May. Close to historic places and good support structure.
Comfy Safe and Beautiful
Wonderful clean and updated apartment. Loved the dock area. Dickens Inn and Mala Indian restaurants both great. Would book here again. Just let folks know that its a bit of a walk to the tower tube station. Loved our stay.
