Overview

About the property

Completely Refurbished Space Offering Modern, Bright Open Plan Accommodation

Recently renovated by award winning A2 Architects, my 2nd floor, open plan studio apartment offers the perfect location to stay in Dublin. Situated right beside the symbol of Dublin, the Ha’penny Bridge, you are in the beating heart of the city.

Everything is within walking distance, with Temple Bar and Trinity College for example just across the bridge and most other major sights a few minutes away . The airport bus is only 100 metres away, not to mention all the bars and restaurants just outside the door. Experiencing the true essence of Dublin couldn’t be any easier.

Previously a 66-metres (710 sq ft) two-bedroom apartment, it was renovated to an open plan, creating a large space that allows full access to natural light. From the window overlooking the river Liffey, you get a great view of the sunset and the feeling of the city passing you by. It’s deceptively easy to just sit at the window and watch as people cross the Ha’penny bridge. I have Wi-fi, a great bathroom and fully functioning kitchen.

Dublin is a conveniently compact city and my apartment is nestled right in the centre of it all, allowing for a hassle free, thoroughly enjoyable place to experience it to the full. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Location cannot be better. You are overlooking the River Liffey and directly above the beautiful Ha'penny Bridge. Cross the bridge and you are in Temple Bar with its numerous bars, restaurants, vintage clothes shops, Project Arts Centre, Gallery of Photography, Irish Film Institute and many other attractions.

Dublin two main pedestrian shopping streets, Grafton and Henry St are about 5 minutes away.

Trinity College with its famous Library is 3 minutes walk.

Dublin is experiencing a Renaissance after a long recession and every week a new exciting restaurant, cultural space or play is opening. It is a great time to be visiting!

The Aircoach bus from the airport drops you 5 minutes away. The LUAS tram stops in Jervis St 2 minutes away but the apartment is so central you probably won't be using public transport at all.

I personally wouldn't recommend car hire as a lot of the streets are one way and it can be tricky to drive around if you are not familiar with the city.

NOTES:

The sofa bed showing in the pictures is a BoConcept Melo 6070 Double Sofa with reclining and sleeping function. Size as double bed is 173cm wide x 197cm long so suitable for one or two people.

Nespresso Lattissimma Plus Machine provided

This flat was perfect. It has a washer and a dryer. Detergent was supplied. Plenty of towels, shampoos, coffee even cereal and milk. Nice walk in shower. Beautiful view of the Ha’Penney Bridge. Close to everything.

Excellent location, Clean and Comfortable Apartment, Friendly Owner

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here while visiting Ireland on our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier with our choice. We walked everywhere we wanted to see, including parks, museums, shops, bars and restaurants, and distilleries. It has an excellent view of the river.

The apartment was clean and well stocked with toiletries, coffee, and other essentials. It was very comfortable. The only thing to be aware of is there is street noise, as it is in the heart of the city. But with the windows shut you could barely hear it. It didn't interrupt our sleep.

The owner was very helpful with getting us situated at the apartment, and gave great recommendations for meals and entertainment.

a truly beautiful space

  • 5 of 5

the space absolutely wonderful. The host, amazing. Dardo was there at 7 a.m. to greet us and we were truly amazed that he had left bread, butter, beer, cider and soft drinks for us along with coffee tea and organic milk. The thought that has been put into providing comfort for his guests is truly outstanding. There was even a straight iron for me to use.. Fresh flowers and everything regarding toiletries in the event someone forgets something. Thank you for such an amazing stay in Dublin. Oh, and of course, the location. Perfect

Great Place...Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

A very modern unit right in the heart of all the action in Dublin! The unit was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. Lots of information for guests that included restaurants, pubs and local attractions. Parking wasn't really possible as the unit doesn’t come with any despite the listing stating parking. Thankfully, we followed the hosts recommendation and returned our rental car early but we did miss out on a refund as we had prepaid for the rental. If you don’t mind a little street noise on Friday and Saturday nights, it’s a perfect location. We would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely stay again. Thanks so much!

The Heart(beat) of Dublin

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent three nights in this ultimately cool, avant garde apartment and thoroughly enjoyed it. Normally we prefer quiet countryside respites in Ireland, but we wanted to experience the heart of Dublin life as a resident would, and this is the way to do it. A ten-minute walk takes you to Grafton Street, Trinity College, Dublin Castle, countless pubs and restaurants, and of course the often raucous, sometimes wild, and always interesting Temple Bar, just across the Hapenny Bridge. Dardo, the owner, is extremely gracious and helpful, and could not have been more welcoming. The apartment is well-equipped and was spotlessly clean. Close the windows and you drown out most of the city noise. Open them and you experience the vibrancy of Dublin in all its hectic glory. If you want to enjoy one of the world's great cities as if you lived in the heart of its action, you will do no better than this supremely cool, comfortable apartment. Not idea for kids and families, but for a couple it is romantic and exciting. Most enjoyable.

Location, location, location

  • 4 of 5

I would have given it 5 stars but there is no way the fold out couch could be slept on unless you're a child or a leprechaun. We are two women traveling together and prefer to have our own beds. Other than that it was just great. Just as pictured. Nice washer and dryer, bathroom and kitchen. Maria was very nice when we arrived. The location couldn't be better. Just across the Hapenny bridge. Within walking distance of everything. Be sure to eat in the Woolen Mill across the street. Our best meal in dublin.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback Shirley. The sofa bed is a Bo Concept Melo. Matress size 151 x 191cm which is bigger than a standard American or European double bed!
