Experience the euphoric ambiance of a tropical sunrise from this fully renovated and continuously modernized, beautifully decorated condominium, with ocean view located at Ocean Pointe Suites, Tavernier, Florida - A 24-hour, 7 days-a-week gated and secure community!

When purchased in 2007, our Condo was completely and elegantly renovated to include new granite countertops and cabinets in the kitchen and both bathrooms; a full-mirrored wall providing an extraordinary panoramic view of the ocean; new furniture to include dining room set with four chairs, sleeper-sofa, armless chair, 2 bar stools, and coffee table; as well as the repainting of all walls and ceilings. A year doesn’t go by without completing upgrades of various types to include replacing both sliding glass doors and windows with Impact Resistant products, replacing all ceiling fans, as well as all appliances. If you are looking for the perfect place to relax and unwind in the tropical ambiance, this is it!

This unit provides you a master bedroom with a new (as of Aug 2016) king-size bed set, a slider to a walkout balcony with ocean view, a recently (Aug 2016) installed walk-in shower and all new tiling for both bedroom and bath areas, closet space, and a 28” flat panel color TV w/DVD/CD player. The second bedroom contains a new (Aug 2016) queen-size bed set, closet, separate full-bath, new (Aug 2016) tiled floor, and a new flat panel 24" color TV w/wireless ROKU streaming TV and media device, and Blu-Ray/DVD/CD player (stored in dresser). The dining/living room contains a new queen sized sofa bed, new armless chair, new dinette with 4 chairs, new 32” flat panel color LCD TV with DVD/CD, and a beautiful ocean view through either a second sliding glass door leading to a second balcony or a large window in an adjacent wall. A Yamaha MCR-232 Mini-Audio System was recently added, providing iPad, iPhone & iPod docking/connection hookup. Kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, blender, toaster-oven, and coffee maker. All linens and towels are included.

Condo provides a secure, wireless, WIFI connection at NO additional cost.

Ocean Pointe is a gated community that provides continuous, 24-hour around-the-clock security. The community is located on approximately 65 acres of tropical landscape and has its own, recently renovated (Spring 2016) Junior Olympic-size heated swimming pool with adjacent heated, whirl pool, lighted tennis courts, private sandy beach, marina with café/bar located above the marina, kayak availability, barbecue grills, beach volleyball, boardwalk to the ocean and accompanying gazebo, and ample space for vehicle parking.

We've been happily married since 1989, with one (1) Daughter to carry on our heritage. Our jobs and associated line of work are exciting, as between us we cover engineering, aviation and interior design. Our long term plans are to eventually retire to the Keys with our Condo being our primary residence. As such, we are always renovating and updating our Condo to include painting and new appliances to reflect the importance of our commitment to keeping our Condo in superior condition and beautifully decorated to reflect the Keys ambiance.

Exceeded expectations!

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this lovely condo before driving to Key West. Although there were other units listed for Ocean Pointe, I selected this unit primarily based on all the stellar reviews about the condo and this couples customer service.

The glowing reports are well deserved! Jim is exceedingly prompt in responding to all questions via email or telephone. Re: Condo, this unit was very clean and charming! You are greeted with a "Sunset and Cocktails" banner at the front door that immediately brought a smile to our faces! We arrived late in the evening so we could not appreciate the scenic view until the next morning overlooking a tree grove and oceans view!

Although we ate out, the kitchen was very nice, and modern, and the room comfy. The bedroom was also very comfortable with quality bedding, and a lovely ( and newly renovated) master bathroom! Modern energy efficient washer and dryer too! Since we were heading to another destination this a great feature.

The grounds and pool area were nicely maintened and the staff greeted you warmly. We didn't partake in the happy hour or eat at the club house so I cannot comment on that. We did eat lunch in town at Mrs. Mac, Snappers and Sundowner (all great meals). James provided a comprehensive book with plenty of information about the property and local establishments.

In the interest of providing balance: I would replace a few of the dining cups (plastic) or provide some inexpensive glasses (at least for wine!) Alternate payment methods (via PayPal or VRBO). There may be a fee associated but I think many people would gladly pay to have this as an option. Heck..that was hardly worth mentioning, right? Would definition stay here again and highly recommend it! Stark contrast to the place i stayed in Key West! James could teach them a thing or two.

Excellent property, quick responses

Owners answered all questions quickly and helped with an early check in after a red-eye flight.

Updated and very comfortable, the condo exceeded expectations. We really enjoyed our stay! There was info about the area provided in a notebook in the condo.

Room was impeccably clean upon our arrival and the view was wonderful. Will definitely stay again if we visit the keys!

Nice and relaxing stay

We highly enjoyed our much needed vacation at this condo. Jim (the owner) was very accommodating to our needs and available if we needed something. Everything was clean and nicely placed. The condo had a lot of extra items such as a pack n play, beach toys, pools toys, enough kitchen supplies, etc. Having those essential items available to us and knowing ahead time made things a little easier when packing for the trip. The Ocean Pointe Condo itself is nice. The pool is really nice along with the huge hot tub which both are very close to the condo. Jim was very prompt and accommodating during booking as well and was always available to answer any questions I had regarding his condo and the area. I would highly recommend this condo for your stay.

Perfect Condo close to everything. Great Owner

We stayed March 19-25 for my 15 YO's spring break. This is a great condo, very clean and well stocked with beach toys for kids, a pack and play for the 2 YO. The beds are comfortable and the view is beautiful. I felt the price was very reasonable for the amount of space and you felt very secure inside the location. You are really separate from a lot of the hustle and bustle. The owner is very responsive and clearly has been doing this for a while. Everything is well organized and he answers your questions before you have them! We did most cooking at the condo only going out to eat 1X day. The kitchen is stocked with most things you will need.

Everything is close. There is a Winn Dixie just south and a Publix about 10 mins north. The John Pennekamp State Park is about 10 miles north and you can schedule scuba, snorkeling, glass bottom boat tours etc. plus there is a beach. The cost to get in is minimal. There is a free bird sanctuary about 3 minutes north. Honda Bahia is about an hour south along with a Sea Turtle hospital in Marathon. It took us about 2 hrs to get to key west. But the traffic on Rt 1 is all over the place so it could be 2 hours it could be 4 depending on traffic. There is a smaller park around the corner also with a beach. Harry Harris park I think. It had a playground for the little one to play in. My only concern was the balcony railing may be small enough for a toddler to fit through so you will just need to keep an eye on them. The pool was great, lots of kids. The beach area is small and private. It is right next to the café which has a VERY selective menu. We didn't eat there. Overall, we loved our stay. I highly recommend it.

Great condo living

We enjoyed our week vacation (Nov. 11-18, 2015). The ammeneties and upgrades at the condo made for a very comfortable stay.

We used the kitchen for breakfast meals and had coffee every morning at the condo.

We found the Publix grocery store just a few minutes north and filled up the fridge with waters, snacks and adult beverages.

A drive to Key West and Bahia Honda is a little over 2 hours away. We visited the John Pennekamp State Park a few times and found Cannon Beach a good place for the kids to snorkel without having to purchase a tour.

The Tavernier/Key Largo area has a lot to offer and drives to Key West, Marathon, Isla Morada very easy to get to.

We always felt safe at the condo and the property is very clean.

The pool was still in the remodel stage but we kept busy in the area and didn't require it.

James was very easy to work with and ready to assist in any way possible.

We highly recommend this vacation rental and would love to return.

Perfect Condo -- Great Owner

I need to start by reviewing the owner, Jim, before I even tell about the condo. Jim is amazing -- he is so kind and quick to respond to all questions (even during happy hour!). When we were going to be there the pool was closed for renovation, but he offered (without us asking) to pay for us to use a local pool if we wanted to. I could really tell that he cared about us having a good stay and feeling at home! Now, for the condo -- it is exactly as described and pictured in the listing. The location is very convenient to the highway and a grocery/shopping area. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the view of the sunrise is spectacular. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels (and beach towels), the wifi worked great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We didn't use any of the facilities at the development, because we weren't there long enough, and as previously mentioned, the pool is undergoing a renovation. I liked that the development was gated and the whole place felt very safe (I was traveling alone with my daughter, so that was very important for me). We would absolutely stay there again, and you can't find a better person to work with than Jim (who, incidentally, had my security deposit back to me in five days!). Please rent this condo--you won't regret it!

Gym, hospital, grocery stores, movie theater are within a 5 minute drive of Ocean Pointe. Harris Park, located within a 5 minute drive, offers a beach front area and is open to the public.
