We stayed at villa ca nostra for two weeks at the end of June. We chose a villa this time rather than a hotel as my autistic 9 year old son does not like the hustle and bustle of a hotel and after our experience at a villa I don't think we will holiday at a hotel again! Villa ca nostra was truly a home from home. A well proportioned, well equipped family villa with a beautiful big pool. It was perfect for my son who could go in and out as he pleased and because of the layout of the villa he could be seen at all times and felt safe and secure . The tv had a few English speaking channels and a few kids channels but no English news channels. Cleaners came twice a week and we're quick and efficient and the pool was cleaned regularly. There is a lovely large bbq area off the kitchen and a separate laundry room. The local supermarkets are about 10 to 15 minutes walk away and will deliver your shopping for you. Sometimes they can be so quick at delivery they can be there before you even get back!
All in all I would definitely recommend this lovely traditional Spanish villa. If you are looking for somewhere to chill out and relax then villa ca nostra is for you.
Villa Ca Nostra is Situated on the edge of the pretty resort of Cala En Porter, and very close to the magnificent sandy beach and restaurants, yet far enough from the crowds.
Cala en Porter: a small village set between limestone cliffs to the side and a fine sandy beach in front. A number of restaurants and bars, including the famous 'Cave' bar (Cova d'en Xoroi) which is set in a huge sea cave!
Son Bou: is one or our favourite beaches on Menorca. A gloriously uncrowded and natural beach with Turquoise water and soft fine sand. Set back from the beach are a selection of beach bars, restaurants and shops.
Binisafua-Platja: is a small coastal village and typically Spanish. The delightful sandy beach, with whitewashed church along with several 'hidden' coves, give you plenty of private swimming locations.
Mahon: became the island's capital in 1722 - moved by the British from the Ciutadella. White-washed Regency and Georgian houses cling to the cliff face that surounds the harbour. It has strong connections with British naval history - admirals Nelson and Collingwood stayed there - while it also plays an important part in Richard O'Brien's series of novels.
