About the property

2 bedroom bungalow in beautiful quiet setting, views, wildlife. a relaxing break

Hoemoor Bungalow is set in the beautiful countryside of the Blackdown Hills overlooking the Otter Valley and our working Dairy and beef farm. Hoemoor is easily reached from the A303 along quiet country lanes.

There are 2 bedrooms one double room and one twin room both fully furnished with wardrobes, chest of draws and T.Vs all bed linen and towels are supplied. There is a large kitchen/diner with washing machine, cooker, microwave and dishwasher.

The lounge comfortably seats 4-5 people with T.V and DVD player. The bungalow has oil central heating making it warm and cosy and to feel really snug you can curl up in front of a real log fire (logs extra). In the summer open the large patio doors and relax in your own garden and watch the farm life and wildlife go by. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. In all the rooms you are surrounded by views either looking over the valley at local farms and animals or into the woodland behind the bungalow where deers are regularly spotted. There are plenty of birds sparrow hawks, buzzards, herons and if you're really lucky Kingfishers by the river.

We also welcome children, there is a small enclosed garden around the bungalow.

We are always more than happy to show you around the farm to see and touch the animals if you are lucky enough to be here on the right day there is always a chance of seeing a cow calving especially in December and January.

Car: recommended

There are views from all the bungalow windows either over the fields at the back where deers are often seen and a variety of birds or maybe even a cow calving. from the rest you can look across the Otter Valley.

There are plenty of walks along the quiet country roads which can lead on to many footpaths or you can drive to several forest walks, neroche forest is the closest. Cycling can take you miles along the back roads meeting hardly any cars or having to go near the busy roads. Once in your car you can range from long day trips to Eden project 90 mins, Dartmoor, Exmoor 60 mins or the coast of Woolacombe, Ilfracombe 90mins.If you want to stay closer Sidmouth,Seaton,Lyme Regis are all about 30 minutes away. There are plenty of national trust houses within 30 mins or for the younger ones Crealy is a must 30mins . For the more adventurous carting 30mins, sky diving 15mins,horse riding 15mins,
