Location Location Location.

The Seine and Pont Neuf are just steps out the building door. The apartment is set two court yards back from the street making it extremely quiet. The entire 1660's building and apartment have been recently renovated and are both well maintained. In the center of Paris, 20 rue Dauphine is very close or has easy access to absolutely every major attraction in the city as well as the many places one wants to discover in Paris including the metro to the Flea Market , a must, and the RER train to Versailles.

Enjoy a well designed, clean and contemporary city apartment with the calm and quiet of the country while on an animated street in the heart of Paris. The walking distance to the Seine River is less than 1 minute and to Metro stations: Saint Germain des Pres,Odeon, Saint Michel ,Pont Neuf and Mabillon no more than 2 to 5.

The neighborhood is loaded with great restaurants, shops, cafés. Supermarkets are close and the wonderful food / specialty shops are endless.

The apartment is a 4 1/2 flight walk up to the top with no elevator . The benefit of the great work out is free as is the great light and Paris roof top views. The light is easily blocked for a dark and quiet night's sleep.

Saint Germain was my favorite area of Paris and I would find myself in the area daily. It was the obvious location for me to buy an apartment when I needed a work and home base.

Absolutely the best location in Paris. The apartment was perfect; comfortable, clean and very quiet back in the courtyard off a busy street. I'm sure it would be hard to come back to Paris and find another apartment to stay so perfect for a week.

Bright and spacious apartment in a great location.

Location, location, location!! Scott's charming apartment is just a minute's walk from Pont Neuf and about 5 minutes to Blvd. St. Germain. Metro stations and bus stops are really close by, as is the wonderful food shopping and lively restaurant area of rue de Buci. The apartment is spacious, especially the well-stocked kitchen. The decor is lovely and the furniture very comfortable. We especially appreciated the large dining table. The apartment is located in a set- back courtyard, thus making it very quiet. We stayed here for a month (lucky us!) and quickly came to regard Scott's place as our home away from home. The 79 stairs could be a bit of a trial after a long day of museum touring, but the climb is really worth it!

I highly recommend this spot!!!!

My family of 5, including three young kids, just got back from staying here and we already want to go back.

First, the location is PERFECT!!!! You couldn't pick a better spot. It's walking distance or a short metro ride to all of the main places you'll want to visit during your Paris stay such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, Orsay, the Orangerie, Luxembourg , Tuileries, Rodin, Invalides, etc. Also really close to the metro RER C line which you can take to Versailles, the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Trocadero, Champs Mars, etc.

The neighborhood in which the apartment is located has many great places to eat and a nice, welcoming feel to it, as well. We enjoyed the "scene" at night as the neighborhood came to life after 7pm. The apartment building also has many friendly folks who were great with the kids, helpful, and welcoming. Some of the better bakeries for baguettes, croissants, macaroons, etc. are also nearby as is a handy supermarket that has everything you need if you want to rest and eat in. Let's not forget the ice cream - in one direction you can get Italian ice cream and in the other you can get French ice cream (both are worthy stops - maybe even on the same night).

Exploring the nearby Marais neighborhood on foot is also possible and highly recommended! Lots of character and personality.

As far as our host, Angie, she was also great. She did great job of communicating before and during the visit. She was there at the arranged time and was really responsive before we got there and when we were there. She offered great recommendations for restaurants and transportation that improved our Paris experience even more. It felt comfortable knowing she was there to help when we needed her.

Highly recommend this spot! My only regret about staying here is that I didn't book a longer stay. I guess I'll just have to return soon!

another fantastic Paris vacation at 20 rue Dauphine

Not much I can add to the other great reviews I consistently see on this site. I've been stayed at least 5 times in this apartment perfectly located , always well updated, clean and quiet in the center of it all. The one time I stayed somewhere else reconfirmed 20 rue Dauphine is the place to stay.

The apt in the 6th Arre is as good as it gets in Paris. The pictures do not do justice to its interesting mix of historical yet modern interiors, cool neighborhood with great proximity to many of the best parts of the city, and the ease of communication with the owner are just a few of the things that make this space so appealing. This was our second stay in the apt, each bringing great memories. I would recommend the apt without hesitation, you will have an amazing place to live in Paris, even if it's for just a few days.

Coudn't ask for more!

My husband and two teenage daughters stayed for 4 nights and the apt was perfect for us. Laurent met us upon arrival at 8:30am and he was so incredibly helpful and nice. Laurent goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and helps to familiarize you with your surroundings -- he walked me to the market, pointed out nice restaurants, etc.... He's only a phone call away if you need anything and will most likely checkin with you to make sure you are doing well. The apt location can't be beat; everything is within walking distance or a metro/taxi away. If you want to be in the heart of it all, this apt is for you. The apt was very clean and had everything we needed. I highly recommend this apt and would definitely come back. Keep in mind there are 80 stairs to climb each day so if you have any issues with stairs, walking, etc.. you may want to opt for an apt that is on a lower level.

Additional information about rental rates

Refundable damage deposit $300

The reservation is blocked and dates reserved upon receipt of a $300 "booking" deposit.
The "booking" deposit also serves as the refundable "security" deposit returned within 7 days of the end of your stay/ check out.
The "security" deposit is used to cover for anything missing, damaged or extra cleaning beyond a 2.5 hours cleaning allowance included in the rental price and used at the end of your stay to get the apartment back to the way you will find it upon arrival.
Extra cleaning, if required, is charged at 20 Euros/hour and deducted from "security" deposit before it's returned.
The $300 booking deposit is not refundable once paid as the reservation dates are blocked immediately on the calendar site and appear unavailable for to others renting in the very fast moving and competitive central Paris rental market.
The rental fee is not due until 2 weeks before arrival in Paris and is not refundable once paid.
