Guestbook comments from the owner

Hello Brian,

Thanks so much for the use of your Home . We had everything we needed on our visit and were very much looking forward to the weekend. Your place is beautiful and we were very excited to have a ski in/out weekend. We even popped over to Seven Springs during our visit...and the indoor pool works very nicely at Hidden Valley.

So we have absolutely loved staying at your place at Hidden Valley! It is a great place for a family gathering and beautiful condo. Just wanted to let you know that and we would like to book now for a week in June for a family golf vacation.

Relaxing, good location, and great service

  • 5 of 5

The condo met all of our needs and more. It's in a great location to visit lots of sites in the Laurel Highlands. We really appreciated the great service that Brian provided. The condo was easy to book, then when our plans needed to change, he was responsive and helpful in working with us on changing the dates. He provided lots of information to help us prepare for our stay. He even took care of moving us to another equivalent unit before our trip when some maintenance work needed done, and checked in with us to assure our stay was going well. We visited during summer so we could enjoy hike and bike trails, wineries, and outdoor attractions, but would love to return during ski season. I can't imagine an easier spot for the slopes, with plenty of storage for equipment.

Fantastic Summer Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The clean, spacious cabin was perfect for a getaway weekend during the summer. Brian was a communicative and gracious host! It was only a short drive from Ohiopyle State Park for whitewater rafting, hiking, and also nearby to Falling Water. It was great for summer, but I'd definitely come back for the winter! It's right on top of the slopes next to the chair lift!

Difficult access for older people. Absolutely nothing to do if snow conditions are poor.

  • 1 of 5

Unit is located on the 3d floor of the building without an elevator making delivery of the luggage especially for the older people extremely difficult. The building and the unit are very old appearing, especially for the money you pay for it. There is a terrible wet carpet smell in the hallway of the building.

We stayed there 12/26-12/31. Every amenity mentioned on the site was closed. The spa and the swimming pool were closed the whole week. Fitness center simply doesn't exist. The closest fitness center is at the hotel in Seven springs and is limited to the hotel guest.

There for if snow conditions are bad there is absolutely nothing to do. We would be much better off staying in seven springs.

Overall, very disappointing experience.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

There were 9 adults and one kid that ended up staying here with us. Unfortunately the resort was not able to open for skiing until our last day. However, this condo was spacious enough that we were not continuously under each others feet. There is plenty of room to spread out and the living area is spacious enough for everyone to gather too. The kitchen was well equipped. I had 4 adults and a 4 year old stay in the loft and they felt there was plenty of room. We will definitely be renting here again.

Owner's Response: Well thank you again Amanda... I'm sure glad that the snow gods answered our prayers this year... The condo is nicely outfitted and I fix or add things when guests have requests. So welcome back next year as I see you have booked the same weekend again for next ski season. Don't forget the Spring, Summer and Fall are awesome also! Best Regards, Brian

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful place to stay on our summer trip to PA! There are 2 bedrooms with a full bath for each and an upstairs loft. Our 5 children slept in one of the bedrooms and the loft area and had plenty of space. Great view of ski lifts in back. Condo is on the 3rd floor accessible by stairs and halfway down hall. Condo is a close trip to Idlewild and Seven Springs. The indoor pool was closed (open only on weekend) when we were there but we walked right into outdoor pool with no problems. Would stay here again when visiting the area!

Family reunion

  • 3 of 5

The owner communicates and handles any problems quickly. The indoor pool is at the main entrance spa. It is $5.00 for the day which we thought was reasonable. There is also a heated outdoor pool but you need some kind of verification that you are a tenant or owner. I'm not sure what we could have used for this.

While we were there, the weather was rainy so it curtailed our plans a bit.

The condo is great for 2 couples. Each bedroom has a separate bath. The loft is a nice size but has no access to a bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped. It was better equipped than the super sized house my brother rented for the weekend. The beds in the loft were very firm. The master bed was good...bring your own pillows!

Owner's Response: I'm glad you and your Guests had a Great time Mo... The condo documents prohibit me from adding a bathroom in the loft area... As I explained most of my guests are 2 families with children and it works GREAT...They use the loft area for their children to stay and enjoy. When there are 6-8 adult couples it becomes a little cumbersome to all use the baths for morning or evening showers. Be aware future guests, there is a private entrance to the second bath through the laundry so guests staying in the loft can access a bathroom and the second bedroom guests should never need to be disturbed... just an FYI... It is hard work to earn a 5 star review, sorry I didn't earn yours Mo. As I explained to you on the phone... Your welcome to use all the amenities at Hidden Valley... When entering any of the Pool areas you simply mention my name as a homeowner and tell them you're my guests, mention the unit name and number and show them the door key if necessary...Many outside people have been showing up to the outside pools that are not guests or homeowners of Hidden Valley and they are sometimes abrasive to guests.... SO any problems call me immediately ! No need to be upset as I'm only a phone call away... Barb will look at the pillows and replace any that need replacement or are the least bit soiled... My Best Regards, Brian
