About brad davis
I am a professional musician and teacher and have lived in many places in my life. Of all the places I have lived and visited Vancouver USA/Portland area is my favorite. My house is minutes away from the mighty Columbia river and the spectacular Columbia Gorge. 70 miles to the pacific ocean and Mountains aplenty, Mt Hood, Mt Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt St. Helens to name a few. Truly a wonderful of our world.

Why pay for a chain hotel sharing walls when you can have this?
Not an expected location for a "bungalow"/cottage, but it was tastefully appointed/decorated for all you'd need to recharge for the next day. We felt safe, comfortable, and happy we didn't stay at any of the corporate lodgings nearby. Brad was as easy-going and amicable as you'd like for a host. Already booked another stay, too. That says it all.
This was a very comfortable peaceful stay. The size of was perfect for two people. Brad was very friendly and helpful! Overall enjoyed our stay!
Absolutely perfect 🧡
Great option for PDX
This was a great place to stay - a great find that I will want to stay at again. I was coming to Portland for a wedding, and found this option in Vancouver which turned out to be awesome. This would work great for an individual person or a couple. Parking was available in the driveway. A short walk on the side of the house into the back garden where this stand alone cottage sits. It has everything needed to feel comfortable and at home. Small kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, electric skillet, coffee maker, sink, and some cutlery, utensils, and plates/bowls/mugs/glasses. The bed and pillows are comfortable. There are small wall heaters if needed, and I slept with the back sliding door open because I like it cool/cold at night when I sleep. There is a stuffed leather chair, and a writing desk with power and USB plug. The bathroom is cute - toilet/sink/shower with towels and soap/shampoo for guests who need it.
The host met me when I arrived, was kind and professional, and made himself available for any needs - which I had none during my stay.
I was concerned that staying in Vancouver would be too far from Portland, but it turned out is right over the Columbia, and minutes from everything in Portland. I was as close or closer than everyone in the wedding party - so that was great.
Staying in Vancouver felt so much better than staying in Portland - it felt safer: there were no worries about my car at night like when parked in downtown pdx. Also, the rural vibe of Vancouver was a very relaxing counterpoint to Portland.
I came in late several nights, after midnight due to wedding events, etc.. and felt comfortable coming in late and moving stuff back and forth from the car to the cottage, and vice verse. Safe, auto security lights, easy path to navigate. It worked well for me.
Everything was as pictured!
I highly recommend giving this a try!!
