4 Bedroom & 3 Full Baths with Gorgeous Sunrises, from Boating to Snowmobiling
About Renee Freyburger
My Father, Husband & I purchased this home for all to Enjoy. My Husband & I have been coming up here and the vicinity for the last 10 years enjoying the winters. We are huge snowmobiling fans. We have never seen Presque Isle Lake without snow and ice covering it. We have gotten to enjoy our new home while getting it ready to rent out as our vacation home and all I can say is," Breathtaking Views" Kayaking and Boating are both something new to our family and we have enjoyed it. I didn't think that we could enjoy the lake unless there was ice or snow on it. Whether the sun is shining and we are tubing or skiing on it or getting our gear on to tackle the snow. It certainly is a peaceful and quiet place. The views are just extraordinary sun, rain, or snow!!!
Renee Freyburger purchased this House in 2019
Why Renee Freyburger chose Presque Isle
Snowmobiling!!! It is our true passion! The spur runs right through our property to trail # 6. The Presque Isle Sno Bunnies keep the trails pristine!!! Granted we also bought this property because of the Fishing which is supposed to be some of the best especially for "Giant Musky"!! Presque Isle is a Large Lake just under 1300 acres which makes it great for Water Sports, too!!! You have one more advantage its a Chain O' Lakes. Not Only do you get to enjoy Presque Isle Lake, but Anvill Lake and Van Vilet Lake.
What makes this House unique
Location, Location, Location!!! Easy Access to the Lake from our home. The Boat Launch is only 200 yards away. It's great for family to play or just relax for the summer. For the winter it's all about snowmobiling and the trail runs right on our property. It's a spur to corridor #6. No roads to run just hop on the trail and boot, scoot, and boogie!

Gather the family and start the vacation
This beautiful "cabin" (really a year round 4 bedroom home) was well appointed for a multi-age family gathering. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any kind of meal. Comfortable seating around the large table for meals and games. Two separate sitting areas inside and a large deck outside provide privacy if needed, but large enough space to all be together. We appreciated having three full bathrooms. We brought our own porta cribs and put the two babies to sleep in the enormous walk-in closets! You will need to bring your own baby and toddler equipment if needed. The cabin is beautiful and modern. As mentioned in the previous review, you will need water shoes for swimming to avoid the rusty crayfish at the shore. We tied up our own boat at the dock and enjoyed the sunset from out on the lake. The property faces east, so sunrises can be seen from the deck. We loved having the use of the four kayaks. The owner, Renee, was easy to communicate with and always responded promptly.
Thank you for the wonderful review. I hope to have a pack and play for future family renters. I wish I could do something about those crayfish:)) We hope to have a sandy beach in next year so I hope you come back!
Nice location, very clean, comfortable accommodations
Generally, great area if you like the northwoods. The house is really close to the road but there is so little traffic and you hear nothing. Beautiful lake (crayfish all around the dock, so maybe water shoes are advisable for swimming there) and nice property. The yard isn't quite ready for families (some uncompleted landscaping near the shore) but suited a couple adults just fine. The house was great--very comfortable and clean--with a fine deck. Nice views out toward the lake.
Perfect house for our family. Amenities are modern and clean.
We enjoyed our stay. Lovely lake and fishing. The house was beautiful and well maintained.
Overall not bad
Beutiful piece of property, enjoyed stay, only suggestion I have is if you rent this place is , make sure to read the guestbook and fine print on rules before you stay. Or you will run into issues, overall not bad
Get out, get on the lake
Very clean, and great for small or large group. Awesome deck for summer, would be great winter getaway. We wanted a quiet vacation for the summer, and this place did not disappoint. Check-in was a cinch using keycode. House was in perfect order and spotless. The deck in summer is perfect, and there are so many screened windows to open that when you retreat back in... the outside is still there. The kayaks were a "must" for us, and the lakes are large enough and varied enough to provide 2hour+ paddles each day. We stayed during the week, during July, and only encountered a couple of other boaters a day! Boaters on the lake were polite. The downstairs has another large by-the-fire seating area, so a larger group could easily break into two sub-groups.
The Internet was speedy for email and music streaming, and the DirecTV service had everything and worked well. The kitchen is large and well equipped; my wife and I cook together and there was no elbow bumping. The huge dining table makes a great setting for a large gathering. The upstairs bedrooms are large with great closets, and all three bathrooms were very nice. Master bedroom on 1st floor very nice with huge closet. We treated the place like a summer cottage, but in the winter it would make a cozy place to hide out.
The negatives are small, but need to be noted. The front of the house is relatively close to the main road, at first the cars seemed close, but there really isn't a lot of traffic. Second, you have to take your trash at the end of the stay to the transfer station, about 10 minutes away, It was not a hassle when I got there, but it's an extra step you have to plan for.
Grocery stores in the area are complete.Trig's in Manitowish Waters was closest (20 minutes) and was very good. Minocqua is further away, that's the big town nearby that will offer more grocery and a Wal-Mart for stocking up.
If you want the Northwoods experience, away from it all, with lake access and quiet, this is the place. The owners are top-notch hosts with a great property. Would recommend to a friend. And yes, the loons with their babies on their backs will welcome you with those northern calls... You'll come back.
Here in Presque Isle there is plenty to keep you and your family busy whether it is fishing, water sports, golfing, bicycling, snowmobiling, skiing or just relaxing by the fire or reading a book. Just Sit back relax and enjoy the beautiful Northwoods.
