Biddenden Cottage Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom open plan contemporary wooden lodge set in 25 acres of meadows & ponds

Graded 4* by Visit England the Lodge has been decorated with light and air in mind.

The vaulted living area with white walls and original artwork has many windows and french doors opening into wrap around decking with plenty of furniture to catch the sun as it moves around the Lodge throughout the day.

In the Sitting Area there are a two and three seater sofa, a coffee table, electric 'woodburning' stove, flat screen TV/DVD/Freeview/Radio and iPod docking station.

The kitchen area is very well designed and equipped providing electric oven and hob with extractor hood, eye-level microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine, plenty of cupboard space and a lovely dresser for additional storage and display. There is even a state of the art instant boiling and chilled water system - so no more waiting for the kettle to boil or the need to ice your water!!

Bedroom 1 has a double bed with memory foam mattress topper, bedside tables, slim-line wardrobe and corner shelving with mirror.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds , bedside chest of drawers, clothes hanging rail, wicker chair and a mirror.

The bathroom has a very attractive deep freestanding bath, separate shower, heated towel rail, washbasin and toilet.

Garden - wrap around decking area with barbecue and garden furniture plus 25 acres of meadows and woodland to explore.

Parking: Ample parking available directly outside the property.

Heating: The property is exceedingly well insulated and cosy with electric radiators and an electric 'woodburning' stove for focal point.

Also Provided: Welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, fresh bread, milk, jam, butter and biscuits.

Picnic hamper for guests.

Notes: The property is located in farmland with five unfenced ponds - one directly outside the lodge so young children must be supervised at all times. Duvets are feather but for allergy sufferers synthetic ones are available.

Baby pack including steriliser, toys and baby bath available for hire.

We had a lovely time in England and enjoyed our stay at the lodge. We also really liked the Independence of staying in the Cottage and recommend it to anyone who's looking for some quiet and relaxing holidays.

The best breakaway ever had.

  • 5 of 5

A quiet and peaceful girls break at Nimrod Lodge.

Absolutely peaceful and tranquil.

The property was just as advertised, we felt as though we had literally stepped into the photographs.

Clean, tidy and super comfortable.

The kitchen was a dream and easy to use, and a few gadgets we loved lol.

The water system love love love.

It is was warm and felt like home away from home.

The grounds were immaculate. We enjoyed a morning or two outside with our coffees and hot coco. Wrapped in our blankets to keep off the chill and just admiring the scenery along with some girl talk. Dissertation work got done, the start of a novel and some much needed rest and laziness we are all happy ladies.

The owner is an absolute gem, hands on, and absolute star. And question asked she was able to answer and keep our minds at ease. We even got to meet her and introduce ourselves.

We will definitely be staying here again. We are actually trying to figure out how we can all pencil it in our diaries lol.

The local towns are easy to find with a good sat navigation.

Great value for money. You won't be disappointed.

If I could I'd give Nimrod 10 stars as it surpassed it's expectations.

Until we meet again Nimrod 😊

Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful week at Nimrod Lodge. The cabin is bright, cosy and very clean. It has an amazing view and everything needed is provided for. We had wonderful weather and everything was growing and blooming, fantastic! The location is perfect; in this week we visited Bodiam Castle, Scotney Castle, Leeds Castle, Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens, Chartwell, Emmetts Gardens, Rye, Bayham Old Abbey, Bateman's, Alfriston and Knole. We would defenitely recommend this beautiful place!

Einfach toll !!!

  • 5 of 5

Danke !

Owner's Response: Hello Sandra, thank you for your lovely review, we hope to welcome you back one day :) Here is an English translation for those who don't speak German: It was our first holiday in England for our little family and we enjoyed it correctly. Nimrod Lodge is a calm oasis of green . The cottage is well equipped -> nothing was missing . Everything exactly as described. The welcome basket was great - a really nice touch! There was even a travel plug therein. The owners are very nice and helpful. Since we were the first time in this area , we have undertaken in the few days a lot. Leeds Castle: This castle is very interesting and beautiful the park. The children were feeding on the playground, maze and the Swan ( black ) really fun - we too; o) Canterbury : we just needed a 3/4 hour drive and the city is really worth seeing. London: Tips from the owner: Car park at the train station in Headcorn (one day ticket costs £ 6 ) from there `s by train - about 1 hour to London. A ansträngender day anyway we were all thrilled. Every night we all sat comfortably in one or more rounds at the big table (which we had here) and let the day end . Thank You! Tino , André , Joséphine and Sandra
