About Angela Lipscombe

Hi, myself and my husband have been been renting this London apartment since April last year and have absolutely loved hearing about our visitors trips to London. We love travelling ourselves (mostly visiting apartments or villa's rather than hotels) and know how important it is to be in the right location and in a clean, well cared for accommodation. With this in mind we try to offer the best experience to our visitors as possible. We have 2 teenage boys who love visiting London so whenever the apartment is available we try to spend a few days there so that we can all continue lapping up the delights of London ourselves.

Why Angela Lipscombe chose Westminster & West End

Mostly for the location - In the middle of Primrose Hill and Camden, it's got everything from chic boutiques to the best Jazz Club in London! Also, the apartment immediately felt warm and inviting, being an old building the traditional high ceilings and original skirting boards and picture rails always leave us intrigued as to what the house would have been like 100s of years ago....

wonderful flat in a multifaceted location

  • 5 of 5

We spent two weeks in this lovely flat and found it perfect for our desire to explore London beyond the standard tourist attractions. The apartment is just as pictured. Though the bedroom is small, it is comfortable and well-illuminated by inside and outside light. The bathroom includes a full-sized tub with a good shower. We only ate breakfast in the flat, but the kitchen appears to be well-equipped for cooking. The washer/drier {supplied with laundry soap and detailed operating instructions) is a great feature! Angela is the perfect host and has provided a notebook of information.

We especially enjoyed the location. Regents Park is practically in the back yard, and Camden Lock, with its "perpetual street fair" vibe, and Primrose

Hill, which has the feel of a village within the city, are each a short stroll away. Restaurants in the area are abundant and diverse. Our favorites are York & Albany (inviting dining room in a small hotel, just a stone's throw from the flat); The Engineer (neighborhood pub just up Gloucester Ave., with terrific sausages and mash, the best sticky toffee pudding, and a warm and welcoming staff); Namaaste (superb Indian food); and L"Absinthe {authentic French cafe).

There's a bus stop just outside the flat, and a tube stop in Camden, so you can access inner London in 15 to 20 minutes.

We hope to be back to London and would certainly choose this apartment again.

Angela is an excellent host. It was very easy to reach her and she was very prompt in responding to any of my questions or requests. Her flat is beautiful and well maintained. Next time I am in London, I hope to stay there again if it is available. Thank you Angela.

Adorable flat close to so much!1

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect size flat for one to two people, close to Camden Lock, Regents Parks, Belsize Park and Hampstead. The tube is just a couple blocks away to take you to the heart of London in minutes and there were plenty of shops and restaurants just around the corner. Angela and her husband were nice enough to come help me when I thought I was going to burn the house down, word to the wise, get a new electrical converter and don't use an old one. 😉򒐠Can't wait to stay again!!!

This is a thoroughly apartment though a little idiosyncratic. I would certainly make a return visit

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is very well located, secure, and very presentable.

The bedroom is small for more than one person and the wardrobe turns out to be the hot water/heating system.

Take a moment to decide where to put your clothing etc, and soon you will feel at home.

The addition of a coffee plunger or stove top espresso, and a clothes-airer, would make the world of difference.

Wonderful Small Flat Near Primrose Hill and Regents Park

  • 5 of 5

I spent a wonderful week here this June. It is a very clean, well maintained ground floor one bedroom flat with all the standard amenities. I was met on arrival by the owner, Angela, who could not have been more welcoming. Great WiFi and TV, hob (stove) and microwave. Also a washer/dryer, which I used on more than one occasion. It is perfect for a single traveler or couple and very reasonably priced for the area, which is absolutely superb. You are within a 10-15 minute walk of the bustling, trendy, Camden Market Lock area, which is a beehive of stalls of all kinds lying astride the lock on the Regents Canal. Very picturesque. You can also walk along or take a boat ride on the Canal itself (highly recommended.) It is a 3 minute walk at most to the nearest Regents Park entrance, close by the zoo, and about 10 minutes, maybe a bit less, to Primrose Hill and right on the edge of the fabulous, more upscale Primrose Hill neighborhood, which I completely fell in love with. I recommend two pubs in the neighborhood, The Queens, right at the foot of the hill and at the start of the fashionable Regents Park Road high street area, a 10 minute walk, and the Princess of Wales on Fitzroy Road, an even shorter walk, in the very heart of the neighborhood, which has a large local following but is extremely welcoming to new visitors. As others have mentioned, the Camden Town tube station is within a 10 minute walk, just down Camden High Street from the market. I raved about the flat to my wife, who could not join me on this trip, and she wants to return next summer. So do I.
