The area is interesting, being walking distance from many South Bank attractions and City of London, and served well by transport links making the West End only a few stops away. Within walking distance are such major attractions as the South Bank, Borough Food Market, the Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the Millennium Bridge to St Pauls Cathedral, the financial City of London, Tower Bridge. 5-10 minutes on the Jubilee Line will bring you to the West End, Buckingham Palace and St James Park/Green Park, the Ritz, Piccadilly, Soho etc.
The flat is modern and fully equipped; bedding and furniture is of a high standard.
Transport: 1 and 5 minutes walk from Northern and Jubilee Lines at Borough High Street and London Bridge. Or you can use the Northern Line to Covent Garden in a few stops. In fact, London Bridge is closer to Soho than Soho is to South Kensington.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at [ID 162500] and would very much like to include the apartment in our plans for future stays in London. We would also like to compliment [welcome staff] for the excellent way she handled our check in and provision of additional bedding when my family came to stay for a couple of nights.
Great location. Close to the Underground station. Spacious apartment. Constant communication. Personally met us and showed us around the apartment. Would stay again.
Very well maintained, spacious flat. Owners John and Yukiko are excellent and responsible. Had really a good time staying there.
The flat was as described, clean and in good shape. Yukiko advised about the kitchen appliances etc. and brought a big fan / hooked up the a.c. for the day of 90 degree temps. - We were a grandma and daughter-husband and two 12 year olds, who stayed in the second bedroom. I slept in the livingroom. We closed the balcony door before retiring as in the summer with the very short nights, the birds otherwise woke me up. - The location was excellent, just a short walk from the tube stop. A Tesco was nearby for provisions; the Borough Market was amazing - and ah, the gelato place. - Happy to chat further with anyone interested in booking this unit.
Wonderful flat in a great location close to the Tube, the Thames, and other major London sites. Originally we had selected a different rental that was terrible and had to find a new rental that same day (after flying in from the US). John was quick to reply to my inquiry and we moved to his wonderful flat within the hour. The flat was clean, had lots of room, and was a perfect location for our daily adventures in London and the surrounding countryside. Noise from the street was NOT a problem for us. There is a little noise but it is to be expected when staying in the city center of a vibrant city like London. We would definitely recommend this flat to our friends!
This was very clean, within walking distance to Borough Market and really quick walk to the trains. It was just as advertised and very convenient. Great place to stay with family with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The only drawback is it was summer and no AC. It was noisy when the bars get out. But otherwise it was really great.
Although we only spent a few hours in the apartment we immediately had the feeling we had made the perfect choice for our short stay in London. The flat is in a very good location, a 1 min. walk from the Borough underground at children's pace. Besides, it has literally everything you might need for much longer periods, it is perfectly mantained and offers plenty of space for families with up to 4 children or small groups. The "reception"-lady, Yukiko, was also very kind, so: No doubt we will try to come back in case we need a place in London.
A great place to start a walk and a very 'strategic' location to base a holiday.... Nearby landmarks all along the South Bank include the Borough Food Market, Southwark Cathedral, the Tate Modern Gallery of Modern Art, the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, the Millennium Bridge, linking to St Pauls Cathedral. The area doesn't have many clothing shops and department stores, but London Bridge Jubilee Line has a direct link to Bond St etc.
Other Activities: Two gyms are nearby, one has daily membership, the other has monthly membership and pool. Bikram Yoga studio in Magdalen Street. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Southwark Playhouse theatre and Globe Theatre within a short walk.

Guests are met on arrival at a public location near the apartment. PhotoID is required in advance. Early/late arrival, where possible, is charged at 10 pounds per hour before normal check in time 3pm or after normal latest arrival time 8pm. Earliest possible arrival is 10am. Bags may sometimes be left early, on arrival, with move-in at a later time.
