About Mike & Lynn Gardner
We built our home in Telluride Ski Ranches in 1978. Lived there for many years before moving to Montana where we now live. We continue to maintain a strong connection to Telluride and our home there and visit 4-5 times a year. Hopefully more once we retire. The family is spread out now but we all find time to get back and enjoy the unique beauty and adventure that this place offers.

Why Mike & Lynn Gardner chose Telluride
We hope our guests will appreciate the love that we have for this amazing place. Two acres of secluded aspen forest at 9500' next to the National forest and only a few minutes to town and the Mountain Village.
What makes this House unique
It is truly a great mountain cabin, with wood stove, gas fireplace and gas furnace (of course) and mountain views through continuous south-west glass walls. The National forest is the backyard. Yet it has all the amenities. Plenty of fire wood. Two south decks. Three comfortable bed rooms and three bath rooms. Utility room and fully stocked kitchen.

Amazing Stay - beautiful, comfortable, affordable, and close to town!
We came here on our honeymoon and spent the week of Christmas here. It snowed almost 20” - the views from the home were absolutely breathtaking. We didn’t have any trouble with anything in the house - everything was well kept and functional.
Mike was very helpful with any questions we had over the phone. The roads are well maintained, the house is absolutely perfect for a comfortable family stay. Our car got stuck In the snow twice down the road - but there were so many helpful neighbors that helped get us out and up to the house. We’ll definitely be coming back in the future! 10/10
House was nice and cozy
Cozy, warm and charming house.
We had a really relaxing and pleasant stay at this place. It was the perfect combination of being just minutes away from the Mountain Village, yet in the middle of the woods and cut away from civilization. The views of the Aspens and the hills in the winter white was just stunning. The fireplace was a great attraction bringing everyone together in a cozy and warm setting. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms all were well appointed and made us feel at home. Overall a great place for a vacation and would love to go there again in future.
Cozy Mountain Home. Wonderful Experience!
The home is located in the nearby in the Ski Ranch development. The home was so relaxing, roomie and wonderful to be in. We really enjoyed not being right in town, but, rather on some land to spread out and enjoy our dogs and the fall colored quacking aspens. There is a single track hiking trail, right off the property to walk through the woods towards the Mountain Village. The owners were very thoughtful and contacted us before the trip to offer suggestions to make our trip even better. There were special soaps and lotions and they invited us to use any foods left in the pantry. We took advantage of the fireplace and enjoyed crackling fires after making home cooked dinners. Also very nice is the deck you can sit out on. We really appreciate Mike and Lynn for making our stay even nicer.
A new understanding of “rustic”
The stay in Telluride will be remembered mainly due to phenomenal weather and the incredible vistas of fall colors. The VRBO rental enhanced much
of that by being nestled in a grove of Aspens and conveniently located for our activities. It was basically everything described in the rental description.
This is at least the fifth time that I have returned to this property for a September stay. Very spacious and cozy. The wood burning stove is one of the best I've seen in any house. Everything works from kitchen to bathroom to television room. I would definitely recommend to a friend and I'm sure to return for another visit.
Telluride is an exquisite mountain village town located at 8600' elevation, nestled in the San Juan mountains, the highest concentration of 14,000' mountains in the United States. Born in the 1880's, Telluride has shed it's mining legacy and transformed itself into a modern jewel of restaurants, shops and galleries. Offering world class skiing, a fabulous 18 hole public golf course, hiking, biking and mountaineering- Telluride has all the adventure you can handle. Numerous art and music festivals bloom throughout the summer, bringing quality entertainment to this very hospitable town. The jazz, blue grass and film festivals are national attractions. This is a place of energy and beauty that is still in touch with it's raw historical past. A rare gem that blends sophistication and exuberance with a town that still appreciates the magnificence these mountains have to offer. Come visit.
Golf: Mountain Village Golf and Ski Resort offers one of the most picturesque 18 hole public golf courses I have ever played. The back drop of the Snuffles mountain range is stunning. The par 71 course is well maintained and at 9500' elevation you will hit the longest drives of your life.
Ski: Telluride ski resort offers 1700 acres of skiable terrain, 16 lifts, 84 trails with a vertical drop of 3500 feet and over 300' of annual snowfall. Trail difficulty is balanced and the children care and learning to ski facilities are exceptional.
