Parione apartment in the heart of Rome

Bedrooms 1
Space 645 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

In one of the most beautiful areas of Rome rich in history and character

Apartment Parione is located in one of Rome’s most magnificent areas; full of history and character, plus great restaurants, outdoor cafes and bars to choose from.

This is the Rome you have read about or imagined when you planned your trip here; the fantasy comes to life in this historic area and creative area.

This newly renovated apartment on the first floor with elevator, sits right between Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori, where by day you can mix or shop with the locals at the famous Campo dei Fiori market and sample some of the delicious fresh produce from one of the vendors.

Just step out your front door and there’s history everywhere, a truly wonderful neighbourhood. The apartment is very private, perfectly maintained and has everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable Roman holiday.

There’s tiled flooring throughout, with a few Persian rugs, giving the apartment a homely welcome. There’s a private double bedroom nicely decorated with ample built in wardrobes. The bathroom is new and spacious and has a shower stall.

All the furniture has been tastefully chosen to compliment the apartment; in the living room where you’ll find a double sofa bed and as well as a separate single sofa bed, which means that the apartment can sleep up to five people, however we suggest four adults and a child would be ideal.

There’s also a dining area neatly placed in the corner of the living room. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped.

Apartment Parione and it’s location will definitely leave you with very fond memories of Rome.

Also, the apartment is provided by:

- Warm up;

- Air conditioning;

- Wifi;

- Washing machine;

- Hair dryer;

- Iron and ironing board

Right where I want to be

  • 4 of 5

Couldn't ask for a better location. Busy, exciting area yet the apartment is remarkably quiet. Kitchen is a bit small but works. Other 2 rooms are very big. Nice having a clothes washer.

Fantastic location BUT...

  • 3 of 5

The location is totally the best. But, the furniture in the apartment is, I would say tired, really tired.

Somewhat dissappointing

  • 3 of 5

The apartment is in a very good location. A grocery store, shops, cafes, etc. are located nearby. This is one of my favorite areas of the city. The apartment is a little more shabby than the pictures indicate. Two lamps were broken and two overhead lights had no light bulb. The heating system is inadequate, though the two small space heaters were helpful. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, silverware, and glasses, but if you plan to cook the means to do so is limited. We asked for clean bed linens half way through our two week stay. We did not receive them. The bathroom sink became clogged. We requested help with it and did not receive it. The apparatus that holds the shower nozzle was broken. I had to request to have that fixed. And it was along with putting in a light bulb above the bathroom sink. There is also a cafe below the bedroom window. It can get noisy in the evening. Of course, the owner has no control over that.

Spacious, Reasonably Priced and Great Location

  • 5 of 5

I and my wife just spent six weeks in this apartment. It has strengths and weaknesses but the strengths far outweigh the weaknesses.

Access is very good. The apartment is on the first floor (which is really the second floor) and the elevator is dependable and roomy enough to carry two adults and shopping bags.

The apartment’s amenities are, by Roman standards, very good. The bathroom has been updated and has a bidet and a shower stall (neiher of which is in the VRBO photos) and a wash machine. The shower stall is small by American standards and it has a typical Roman hand held shower head. The hot water heater is adequate and has to be turned off and on in advance.

The kitchen was adequate. The gas stove top must be fired by hand (always a bit anxiety provoking) but works well.

The apartment owner provides free weekly cleaning and change of towels and sheets. This is a real plus and we appreciated it.

The neighborhood a safe one and is policed regularly. The apartment itself has a double locked door and a locked front entrance. We never had a moment of safety concern.

The Centro Storico location is as good as it gets. It is within easy walking distance of almost all the major tourist attractions.

The access to food shopping, drugstores and sundries is excellent.

The access to restaurants could not be better.

Michele, the apartment manager is a good guy and very responsive and responsible.

The photos on the VRBO website are not accurate. They conceal the apartment’s less than pristine actual appearance. We were not particularly troubled by this because we’ve rented in Rome before and we knew that for the rental cost we were not getting a luxury apartment.

The heating system could be improved. It stays on 24-7, is noisy and is inefficient.

The wireless worked most of the time but had to be clicked off and on in order to re-connect as often as two or three times per day. Michele loaned us a “hot spot” device which worked well.

There were repairs and renovations going on in the building almost the entire time we were there. It was probably just bad luck on our part but I resorted to sleeping with earplugs.

Overall recommendation: Despite some annoyances, we would happily rent and stay this apartment again. It is a very good deal for the money and the location is superb.

Just the best value in Centro Storico

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for last two weeks of June, have stayed 3 times previously in Centro Storico, this is my best apartment yet. Ideal for 2 people, location just off Campo dei Fiori, and no night time noise, some great food within 5 minutes, but not on the Campo, just try the Roscioli shops nearby, seamless transition from Fiumicino in car Michele organised, Giorgio waiting to introduce me to the apartment, which had absolutely everything necessary for my stay. And the cost, just great value, I thoroughly recommend this apartment!
