Old 17th century brickworks, where for years bricks and roof tiles were produced from the fine clay of this area, bearing the "Fornace di Armaiolo" (Armaiolo Brickworks) mark. Thanks to a patient and careful restoration, the old brickworks has been transformed into an enchanting and comfortable holiday villa, respecting and enhancing those features and architectural characteristics unique to Tuscan houses: the wide brick arches, the vaults, the ceilings with old wooden beams and the travertine stone of the outside walls. Not far from the villa there is the Siena - Bettolle freeway which allows to reach Siena in about 15 minutes and both Florence and Arezzo in less than one hour. From the beautiful swimming pool (6x12 m, depth 1,20-1,80 m), set at the highest point of the garden and equipped with a gazebo and deck-chairs, one can enjoy the enchanting view of the 14th century village of Armaiolo and of the beautiful surrounding countryside. The well cured furnishing, the high level details and the large equipment (satellite TV, washing machine, dish-washer, oven etc.) guarantee a comfortable vacation.

We had 8 people and rented this beautiful villa for 1 week. The owner is a lovely lady who asissted us with some of our planning for our trip. She was very knowledgable of the area and make some great suggestions.
The villa was well equipped and very comfortable. As the villa is so large even with 8 people, we did ot feel cramped and had plenty of room. The pool (although cool when we arrived) is very large and beautiful. A great spot to sit and soak up some sun after touring around all day.
The town close by had all the required conveniences - groceries and several restaurants which were very good.
All in all we had an amazing time at this villa and if in the area again would ceratinly contact Bennedetta (the owner) to rent again.
This villa is spacious enough for a bigger group. Good location and very nice pool area.
Our Australian family of 7 adults had a wonderful stay at Il Fornacino The villa was just as the photos show and the pool was a great attraction to swim in or laze beside. The location was a dream right next to a tiny village of 70 people with a top class restaurant (be sure to reserve a table!)Day trips to Siena, Florence and into the Chianti countryside were highlights too, always returning to the many comforts of the villa. A memorable venue for us all.
Il Fornacino was an excellent location and beautiful piece of property. The pictures exactly represented the property, and the pool was incredible. Il Fornacino was an excellent staging area for trips to Siena, Florence, Rome, Pisa, Montalcino or anywhere within Tuscany.
