Tucked away from the main thoroughfare in a wonderful picture postcard location is this generously proportioned two bedroom apartment. On the second and third floors (no lift) the apartment boasts glorious views. The home has been beautifully restored with attention to creature comforts apparent.

The owners' believe in the power of good design and its ability to effect your mood and create a memory. Feel inspired and relaxed. Beautiful understated pale tones create a scheme in which to unwind. The road outside is a pretty, enchanted stretch that brings you to Notting Hill (turning right) or down to High Street Kensington (turning left). In summer cherry blossom trees create a pink boundary along the road.

The area is blessed with acres of green space. Hyde Park, originally one of King Henry VIII's hunting parks, and Kensington Palace, official London home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are a short walk. Hyde Park's Serpentine Gallery is one of London's best-loved free galleries. Kensington Gardens is the setting for J M Barrie's book Peter Pan.

A perfect base to explore some of the many attractions London has to offer.

Lovely property. Perfect location. Wonderful devices.

We LOVED our little flat in Kensington and it provided a lovely respite from the hustle and bustle of London. Terrific location to public transportation, great restaurants, supermarkets and more. Flat was clean, well stocked with essetials and the linens were top notch. Nick was fantastic and very responsive. Will definitely stay here again if the occasion presents itself.

Great visit but flat does have a few issues

We really enjoyed our stay between Christmas and New Years. House is in a beautiful upscale neighborhood just a couple streets over from Kensington Palace and just below Notting Hill. A short walk to the Notting Hill Gate underground station with several coffee shops/grocery stores in area. The apt. is up 2 flights of stairs as listed in the description which was not an issue for my family but could be for some. The apt. had enough room for my family of 5 and kitchen had what we needed although we only cooked breakfast in the apt. The two main issues we had was that the handheld shower attachment in the master bathroom did not have any water pressure and was useless so we all had to shower in the other bathroom. Like I said there was 5 of us and the shower would only stay hot for 1 shower at a time so we had to stagger our showers to make sure hot water was available. The other issue was that the beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable, especially in the master bedroom. Owner would benefit from making a small investment in better mattresses. Overall it was a great visit and we worked around the limitations. Would recommend. Nick was easy to work with leading up to our trip and allowed me to have the Chelsea FC tickets I ordered be delivered to his office so I would have them for the game. Caroline was wonderful at check in.

Excellent location but far from perfect flat

My 5 adult family recently stayed at the flat. The location is excellent , convenient and quiet. During the reservation process the owner Nick was responsive to all our questions including that the flat was suitable for 5 adults- us and our adult children . Our arrival was handled by Caroline who agreed to address our issues. While the flat is spacious it is on 3/4 thfloors of walkup and considering this it would be helpful if the owner provided luggage assistance . The flat is simply furnished and spacious but the freezer was not usable . Despite being aware of this it was never fixed . Since we assume the flat is inspected regularly we could not understand how a broken freezer could escape notice . Also we requested bedding for 5 which meant we needed bedding for sleeper sofa which is more like a slab. The bedding did not arrive until Thursday ! The master bedroom bed is like sleeping on Concrete with sandpaper sheets ! There is only 1 working shower so the flat is not meant for 5 adults . The one working shower in the second bedroom was covered in mildew. And was smaller than a phone booth !Also we ran out of water completely on the 6 day of our stay and had only cold water for all but the first shower of the day! After the first day our calls to Caroline went un answered . I finally reached the landlord Nick who thought it was just a water pressure problem. I learned at checkout that Nick lives in the first floor. The toilets do not flush well or reliably . This flat has not been restored with attention to creature comforts . Better quality sheets blankets and pillows would be a great addition along with a mildew free shower. Also the bathrooms lack electric outlets towel racks and the only full length mirror is in master bath. The towels though were excellent! The lack of outlets meant sitting in the floor to do our hair so if you can’t get down on the floor that could be an issue also. As I said the locale was great and the corner pub is fun. However the problems we had and the lack of enough bedding and poor plumbing were real negatives .

All that was promised and MORE

First, the unit is nearly perfectly located. Second, the unit's owner/manager lives up to the promises and are very responsive to any requests.

The unit is clean and well-equipped.

I'm hopeful that we can return very/very soon to this awesome property.

Highly Recommend

My wife and I are both over 75 so we found walking up to the 3d and 4th floors a little challenging, but not our two grandsons. However, once getting into our flat it was worth it. Everything worked very well, from the very nicely equipped kitchen to the combination washer/dryer. We thought the shower was very good and easy to use. Two of us actually showered in the evening. The only criticism is that the toilet seat in the master bathroom was never attached correctly, so it is a little off kilter and the seat part must be held or else it will fall down onto the toilet- male users should be aware of that.

We all thought Palace Gardens Terrace was very pretty and the location was excellent. We used the Notting Hill Gate entrance to the Underground and found the Underground was a very easy way to get around London and extremely cost efficient- get an Oyster card. Circle Line gives you access to many of the touristy sites and basic Oyster card and Zones 1 and 2, same inclusive cost, gives you access to just about all you would want to see in London. We also found we could easily walk to Paul (food just like in Paris), and enjoyed the Italian restaurant De Amici on Notting Hill Road. On the way to the Underground station we passed a few local small food markets. Nearby is also a local organic food market. You can also go in the other direction to Kensington Road and shop at a Whole Foods- that direction was too far for us to walk on a regular basis so we used the Notting Hill Gate Underground.
