So idyllic it defies description – the best of both worlds in the West End. Nine acres of privacy and luxury in a pristine nature preserve overlooking Shank Painter Pond and Herring Cove, bordering the National Seashore. Three minute bike ride or ten to 15 minute walk to Provincetown’s best restaurants with a path to Herring Cove Beach. Spectacular sunset views over the pond and ocean. Glorious views of water from every window – and two bedroom windows with views of Pilgrim’s Monument. Morning coffee on the side porch watching the birds and wildlife, cocktails on the front deck enjoying the sunset, luxuriating on the overstuffed furniture in the great room with soaring cathedral ceilings. Relax in this peaceful setting. Our home is beautifully appointed, has an open floor plan, granite counters, large bedrooms, central a/c, wireless Internet, parking galore and dog friendly (must be approved by owner if more than two dogs)! It doesn't get better than this.
This house was perfect for our event. We rented it for a small wedding and for family to stay in over the weekend. The house was in pristine condition with some unexpected premium ammenities (e.g. a Kitchen Aid mixer in the kitchen). Also, the house is in a wonderful secluded location with gorgeous views. This is a great property for a luxurious vacation stay.
This is a fantastic property... well maintained, spacious and convenient. We booked it entirely on the basis of the great decks, landscaping and natural setting, as we intended to host a completely outdoor-based gathering. The weather took a turn and there was cold rain and wind for our entire stay, so we were pleasantly surprised that the inside of this house is as stunning as its surroundings. The views through the giant windows were still tremendous... perhaps even more so in the dramatic weather. We enjoyed the great furniture, lighting and fireplace while we stayed dry indoors, and used the well-appointed kitchen quite a bit. All of the bedrooms are surprisingly large as well. Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a long weekend with friends and family!
This is a beautiful house in a quiet and lovely location. It is very well designed and has a great open space for the sitting room, dining room, with windows on to the ponds. Some points to note
- the walls are very thin and noise carries easily;
- the basement bedroom is far from ideal unless it is someone stopping over for no more than a night; plus it is very noisy down there as it is next to the AC;
- no soap is left which seems a bit mean (especially given the price)
- pick up of keys isn't great (the letting agents were closed the first time we dropped by and the keys hadn't been left)
We had the most wonderful weekend. Picture perfect amazing house! We could not have asked for anything better, the owners have thought of everything possible to make you feel at home. Beautiful setting for having fun or complete relaxation. The property is spotless and grounds well maintained. We will be returning to this home for many more wonderful memories.
We rented this property for a 50th birthday party and it was perfect. The outside space is amazing and the house itself is very comfortable, well appointed and beautifully decorated. The house is great for entertaining, the layout provides open space with high ceilings, lots of windows and plenty of seating. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything that you need to prepare and serve meals. We were fortunate to have perfect weather including seeing beautiful sunsets from the back deck and watching the bird activity throughout the day. The sitting area at the top of the steps was one of our favorite places to sit and relax early in the morning. Janet was very helpful and responsive to any questions that we had before and during our stay. I hope that we are able to stay here again.
We stayed here for four nights during the New year Holiday! Outstanding House. It was everything we were looking for and more. Open floor plan,high ceilings and lots of windows (sliders) gave us beautiful views and spectacular sunsets. Great house for cooking NYE dinner. Everything we needed as far as cooking equipment and utensils. Very comfortable house. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Janet and Steve.
