.pictures do not do it justice .the house exceeded our needs .we were there for this past nor'easter and couldn't have been more comfortable staying inside due to the weather conditions .and those windows make any day look stunning .no matter the direction you turn .thank you for sharing your home...
We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was a calm retreat - we rarely wanted to leave in the evenings!
Fantastic P-Town Retreat
Very nice, perfectly maintained, clean, and functional house with lots of space and expansive marsh views. You'll feel a great sense of peace, privacy and nature, but will be reasonably close to the action. While it's possible to hike through the dunes to get to the beach, it's a little bit of a trek and don't expect much in the way of water views (though you get a peek from the top of the stairs). That said, the views from the house are quite special nonetheless, especially at sunset. The kitchen is great and very well-equipped, so you'll have everything you need to cook as much as you like.
In general, the quality of the furnishings is fine, but falls a bit short of the stylish luxury you might find in other high-end P-town properties. The beds are the only real low-point to mention. I'm not a "mattress snob" by any means, but we both lost some sleep on their particular choice of bed/mattress combination. It's hard to tell if it's the beds (one of which is not even assembled correctly) or the mattresses, but something in the equation doesn't work at all and the owners would be well-served to upgrade.
Thank you, Alex, for your review and the heads-up about the beds. We'll look into your concerns. The master is a Tempurpedic and the other three are high end Stearns & Foster mattresses. Given the fact Sunset Point is a log home, we feel the furnishings work, but everyone has their own ideas and we LOVE the Thomas Meyer art. Again, thank you!
Nice secluded home, beautiful sunsets from the deck, fun trip for young and old.
We loved staying at this house and had to tear ourselves away. Well positioned between the nightlife and the beach, it was the perfect location for our week in Provincetown. Janet was very responsive and was great to work with. This has my full throated recommendation for anyone looking for a place to stay.
