Cozy and comfortable
We had a lovely experience renting this property. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed our time and would love to stay again in the future.
Beautiful home and view!
We had a group of 10 girls get together over Labor Day weekend and had the best time. The home is very spacious for a group of girls and came with all the amenities we needed for the weekend. Gorgeous views of the lake and very friendly neighbors! Melanie was extremely helpful leading up to the trip with restaurant recommendations and even left a goody bag and bottle of wine upon our arrival. Everything was seamless- would def recommend!!
We didn't stay in a rental, we stayed in a home!
My wife and I took our three kids (ages 12, 11, 10) and allowed each to bring a friend. From the time we walked in, we could tell that we were inside someone's home and not just a rental property. From a personalized note when we arrived to the basket of s'mores to enjoy with the kids, they Burns went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The kids played ping-pong, went fishing, and we even negotiated the rental of a pontoon that the kids LOVED. The living room sofa was the type that sucked you in and almost forced you to fall asleep while watching a movie. I would have tried to steal it but it wouldn't fit out the door. We ate dinner at the White House twice, since the only other options were in Albemarle (30 minutes away), but could have used their outdoor grill and well equipped kitchen, however we wanted a vacation too. We'll definitely be back.
Fantastic 7/25-28, 2019 Weekend
What a wonderful reunion our family experienced at this spectacular Lakefront Oasis! The home was beautifully decorated! We enjoyed the lake view from the three spacious decks. The kitchen was very well stocked and organized.
Our four grandchildren really appreciated the paddle board and the two person kayak plus the many lake floats.
Melanie was extremely helpful and quick to respond to our questions via text or email. We especially enjoyed the welcome gift basket and bottle of wine.
Our family vacation was amazing at this beautiful lake house. The house itself had that family feel. It had greats views, was very well equipped and organized with all the small details through out, making our stay that much more enjoyable and relaxing.
I can't say enough about the owners Rick and Melanie for the hospitality and concerns they showed for our comfort, wonderful people! Melanie went the extra mile on our first day by dropping off two lovely bottles of wine and a care package for the kids filled with all the goodies for s'mores, making gathering around the evening fires that much more FUN. All I can say is, don't hesitate if your looking a fantastic place for a lake vacation, you'll love it!! We will be making this one a yearly trip. Thank you, Doug and Debbie
Villa on secluded lake with tight-knit community
Amazing villa with great views and access to lake. House had all amenities and was well-stocked (plates, linens, amenities) for our needs. It was a wonderful place for 10-12 people to gather for July 4th weekend and the neighbors were so welcoming to my crew and I. Phone service is nonexistent but WiFi is strong on the property. Mel and Rich were absolutely wonderful hosts and very strong at communicating— such great people!! They even rented their boat to us for the weekend for a daily fee. All in all, I highly recommend this house for groups of 10-12 people and hope to come back again!!!
