Lost Valley Lodge is truly a secluded get-a-way: Close to downtown Blue Ridge for shopping, sightseeing, restaurants, Lowes, Home Depot and the hustle of a larger town. But, once you start heading back to Lost Valley Lodge, you drive through winding roads under the canopy of trees to a homey peaceful Cabin.

Fifty feet off the creek and it's all yours: A gentle babbling creek not too deep, just right. Kids can fish, swim, walk, and tube in the creek while you watch from the porch.

Game Room: We accommodated adults and kids with the game room. Regulation foosball table, puzzles, board games, horseshoes, and the Amazing 8' Goal Flex Air Hockey Table.

perfect family getaway!!!

  • 5 of 5

We love this cabin!! We were looking for a private cabin in the woods with a creek to spend some time together as a family. There was plenty of room for our family of six and our dog! The creek is perfect! We have enjoyed fishing (although no luck with the trout this time) and even swimming! The hot tub is nice as well for those of us that do not enjoy swimming in March ;) The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The beds are comfy! So many fun games to play as a family! Tamera was great to have us ready hours before the scheduled check in time and so nice and clean. Thank you Kenny for working with our large family and providing such a wonderful family retreat at an affordable price! We have truly enjoyed our time here and the kids are already planning to come back! Great memories have been made here!!

Owner's Response: Another Happy family. My guess is that they will be back. I try to be very reasonably with cost and promises. In todays economy extra effort has to be considered if you have a motto, "Let's Work Together to Build Memories Love to have You". While Lost Valley Lodge can't meet the needs of everybody we try our best. Kids fishing for trout out the front door, fire pit in the evening, falling asleep in the hammock with momma and papa bear looking on and then the dogs go for a swim. It doesn't get any better than that my friend. Trump Tower move aside.

Awesome

  • 5 of 5

My son, his partner and my two grandchildren stayed here for five days.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. The cabin was beautiful, peaceful, private. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, from hiking, to have campfires and relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin was clean and everything you could possibly need was there. Would definitely highly recommend it to anyone and would definitely return. Thank you Kenny for sharing your beautiful cabin. Theresa

Nice location, uncomfortable seating

  • 2 of 5

Great location. Bed uncomfortable to the point I hauled out the air mattress we keep in the car for such issues. Upstairs furniture worn out to the point of being terribly uncomfortable. Internet was down for 2 days, obviously not checked before we arrived. Leak in upstairs bedroom ceiling. It is for sale and felt like it. Access to creek is really steep, I understand the one comment about trying to build stone steps down to the creek. Tamara was nice, responsive and communicated well with us. Our dog scratched the gate and the charge to fix it was very reasonable. Loved the location but too uncomfortable upstairs to go again, which is a real shame.

Owner's Response: I was disappointed when I saw that Lost Valley Lodge received a review of 2 out of 5 stars. We try so hard to meet the needs of our guests and we were not successful with this young couple with three large dogs. We never had a complaint about the king size bed being uncomfortable but, we are happy that the couple had an air mattress in their car which they carry around with them for such occasions. There was a power failure which shut the power down on the internet and the company repaired the service at their earliest convenience. Some things are just out of my control. So sorry about that. We did discover a leak and the plumber found a ruptured pipe. He quickly repaired the pipe and we are now high and dry. As far as the steepness when entering the creek, soil erosion from mother nature can be a problem for dogs to enter the creek especially after severe rainstorms. I don't have any idea how to change that. Sorry again. After their departure management sent me pictures of the childproof gate that we have at the top of the stairs to protect young ones from falling down the steps. The guests checked out and never mentioned to management that one of their dogs destroyed the childproof gate. I sent the pictures to the guests and requested $75 so that a carpenter could build me a new gate. The gate was not only scratched it had to be replaced. They agreed that that was only fair and the male guest told me on the phone that he thought his older dog just might destroy the gate while the both of them went into town for the day. He was right. I encouraged him not to keep the three large dogs confined to one room. I wish they would have brought their kennels since they knew that one of their dogs suffers from "separation anxiety" which is a technical term and afflicts some dogs. I just wonder if I overlooked charging them for a new gate would they have given us a 4 or 5 star rating. We try our best but sometimes our best is not good enough. We will try harder next time. Thank you from the owner.

Can't Wait to Return!

  • 5 of 5

Brought my two boys and our dog to northern GA for a family getaway and it was beyond our expectations. We all had a wonderful time. The property was everything we had expected and more. The boys enjoyed playing in the creek with Rosie, who experienced open water for the first time. White Water Rafting and floating with the Rolling Thunder Rafting Co was a blast. The boys have started asking when we can go back. Looking forward to it!

Owner's Response: It brings me a great deal of Joy when single moms can bring their children and their loved pets to a safe place and have a great time. Our motto at Lost Valley Lodge is "Let's Work Together to Build Memories Love to have You". I can see we were successful. When it comes to children my core belief is, "the most vulnerable in our society should be in the front of the line. They should receive our love and protection". Thanks from the owner, Kenny

Very nice mini vacation place

  • 4 of 5

We took our son and his family with us to this cabin and we all enjoyed it very much. We had a fire in the fire pit every night for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows and making smores. The kids enjoyed all the games available for them to play especially the foosball game. They had contests with their mom and dad just about every night. The stream was a nice touch as was the other amenities available. We chose not to use the fireplaces and the hot tub. Weather was beautiful for all of our stay except Wed. Rained most of the day but there was plenty to do at the cabin. If you like peace and quiet and need to just relax this is the place. Tamara was very helpful and Mr. Spangler was easy to deal with and very prompt in replying to our calls and emails. The one thing people need to understand about renting a cabin is the fact you are using someone else's home and you need to clean the dishes and cooking utensils as instructed in the agreement. We had no problems with bugs or in abiding by the rules we were given to play by. It was a very enjoyable time and Blairsville and Blue Ridge are a short drive from it if you do not want to spend all your time by the stream. Thanks Mr. Spangler for allowing us to rent your cabin for our mini vacation

Cabin was the right choice for our mini vacation

  • 4 of 5

We had a great mini vacation at this cabin. Found Tamara to be a very pleasant and accommodating person and also met her daughter and husband. The cabin was everything we were expecting with the stream running our in front and turkeys, deer and a bear to be seen. Fishing was not the best for this time of year but just being able to sit by the fire pit with a roaring fire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows and make smores was very relaxing. The grandkids loved having all the games to play but enjoyed playing cards in the evenings and sitting around the fire by the stream. Quiet and serene is best how we would describe it but plenty to do in Blairsville and Blue Ridge is you so desire. Mom33 from FL I can only say we did not have the problems you complained about. I know it is in the contract that we clean our dishes and kitchen items when we use them and we did. Some however, must not have read what they were responsible for. If you want a quiet place to just unwind from the stress of work I would recommend this place for you to try. Mr. Spangler was easy to work with on renting it and contacting us and Tamara was great to work with also. She even called us and inquired as to how we enjoyed our visit To me that says volumes on how they want their guests to feel when they are there and even when they leave.

Owner's Response: Our motto is Let's Work Together to Build Memories Love to have You. We try our best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Your reviews are always appreciated. It helps us to improve for the next guest. A stocked Trout fishing creek fifty feet from the front door makes this Lost Valley Cabin a fisherman's dream. Fish a little, lay in the hammock down by the creek and fish some more. Need I say anymore. Thanks to all that keep returning for more fun and relaxation.
