Peaceful and relaxing
We had a peaceful and relaxing time at this comfortable cabin with everything we needed (plus some - homemade cookies, fruit basket, and wine - gifts from our host) to make us feel at home. Trinette and Bob are wonderful host and just special people. My husband and I enjoyed our visit with you and learning all about the hunting, fishing, and history of the area. The cabin is equipped with everything we needed for cooking and even had some fresh spices that Trinette had dried from her garden. The spices were a wonderful touch to add to our fresh caught lake trout we cooked on the grill. I can not say enough wonderful things about this cabin and our host. You will not be disappointed in renting this cabin.
A piece of paradise
The setting: GLORIOUS views of a pasture, forested it on either side with a view extending far into the distance. Very peaceful, private and safe
The cabin: a work of art, incredible craftsmanship and creativity. The owner built it himself. He was an apprentice, years ago, under a Norwegian cabinet maker that did everything by hand without power tools. You see this level of artistry reflected in every piece this man touched. Decorating: Trinett has a talent for creating a cozy beauty.... handmade leather shades with creative window coverings and great use of antiques....A comfortable refuge. Lots of windows and light! Covered front deck: the place to absorb the incredible views and soak in the peace...We had the pleasure of watching three bucks play, had conversations with their horses and great views of turkeys.
The hosts: friendly, welcoming, kind and lovely people. They respect your privacy yet always available for questions. Hospitality: gifts waiting for us....a bottle of red wine, homemade chocolate chip cookies, a beautiful fruit bowl with snacks, packages of kettle corn, fresh flowers, and a nice tour of the cabin. WOW. And frankly, they are incredible human beings. In fact everything was WOW!!
Clean rural cabin
Friendly rural cabin. Owner could not have been more helpful, friendly, outgoing and full of useful information. We enjoyed a session of wonderful weather. The appointments in the cabin were complete and up to date. Our only adjustment was on use of the peat powered toilet (not in the advertisement). It worked surprisingly well.
Magic in Montana
Now that we are back to reality I can tell you all about the Magical time we spent at the Kormann Cabin. A short distance before Polson is a road that takes you through beautiful pasture lands towards the mountain. The gravel road is easy to navigate and the ride does not give away the surprise of what you will soon find. The Cabin sits just above a beautiful open firld that opens to views that go far across the valley. Deer, Turkeys and their horses play every day in the pasture, and the porch gives you a grandstand seat to watch them play. Entering the cabin you will see an amazing and beautiful sight of Expert craftsmanship and Montana Chic decorating by this wonderful couple. Bob's amazing skills blends natural wood pieces into the cabinets and walls and many other spots of this wonderful cabin. Each day we found another new and amazing idea and decoration that makes this such a comfortable place to stay. The attention to detail runs through every inch of the interior and follows up on the exterior adding to it's unique charm. Bob and Trinette are so kind and an amazing couple who make your stay one you will always remember. I'm serious, you will be so thrilled to stay here, and the comforts and serenity of the place will give you a number of WOW moments. We had no idea this place would be so wonderful. Everything you need is there, and the water from the tap is so tasteful and pure. Getting down the hill to towns is an easy and beautiful drive, but you will find yourself just enjoying time and sunsets and animals and the quiet of the beautiful forest that adjoins the property. Ask Bob to show you the hand made cabin he and his grandkids built one field over. Again an amazing structure of perfection and craftsmanship beyond expectation. So if you are looking for a location that gives you Beauty in a quiet and serene location with the comforts of a building formed by perfection and love, this is the place for you. We will surely be going back in the future, and we suggest you take the time to meet Bob and Trinette a true love story who have built a storybook location for us to enjoy. Thank You both for your kindness and allowing us to share your beautiful dream come true. I can assure you this location is so much more than I've been able to write in this review. We highly recommend you look into booking a stay in this wooded paradise. You will Not be disappointed. The Magic of Montana brought to you by the talents of Bob and Trinette Kormann
Wonderful place to stay, super nice hosts.
Our family loved the property, unfortunately we could not spend a lot of time there due to commitments of our trip. Hosts were wonderful, we felt welcomed. Our kids loved the horses, dogs, deer, and turkeys. The location is serene and beautiful... my favorite upon entering was my 8 year old asking where the TV was!
I did not care for vrbo showing me a total when booking of the cost to stay each night, and then a $150 cleaning fee tacked on after I started moving forward with paying for the reservation. I understand a deposit not showing up until the end of the reservation because you get that money back as long as you are respectful of the property. If I would have seen the additional cleaning fee in our initial calculations, I would not have stayed at this property simply due to cost. I know this doesnt apply to many people, but the extra fee cut in to our budget and planned activities.
INCREDIBLE cabin in the woods!
This place is so damn good we don't want the secret to get out! But in the interest of sharing amazing holiday destinations with likeminded folk, we'll let the cat out of the bag – or in this case – the bears, turkeys, dogs and horses out of the farm.
This is a truly beautiful location, so green and so fresh your lungs might bust from the sheer joy of it all.
Our wonderful hosts welcomed us on arrival with smiles, hugs, and a guided tour of the property; then a detailed explanation of how they hand-built the cabin back in 2000. Every fixture and detail are carved-out with care and love (our host was a carpenter back in the day), and the cabin is filed with games, all the cooking amenities you might need, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine.
We were in town for a wedding, and our wonderful hosts offered their larger bathroom in their own home (200 meters from the cabin) for us to get ready if we wanted a larger space, and they even IRONED A SHIRT for us because we were running late!
We can't speak more highly of our time here. None of us wanted to leave, and we were all very sad when we did.
Our only note is that the photos of this property and the cabin do not do it justice! It's far more beautiful inside and out than what the photos suggest – (and the photos are pretty good)!
Go ahead and book. You will NOT be disappointed.
Thanks for having us!
