Brian Head Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-7)

WOLF POINT CABIN is a beautiful, privately-owned cabin on three-fourths acre lot within walking distance of Cedar Breaks Lodge off of Circle Drive. Secluded feel, yet not even one-half mile from Brian Head's main road, Highway 143. 1/2 mile from Navajo Ski Area and Snow Tube Hill, 1 1/3 miles from Giant Steps Ski Area. Approximately a 2 hour drive to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. Half an hour from Cedar City's Utah Shakespeare Festival.

Warm, inviting, and contemporary decor awaits our guests, in this fully-stocked cabin with everything you will need for a great mountain escape. Just add friends, come and enjoy! We feel that a mountain escape should be reflective and low tech, so there is no satellite TV or internet access. Cell service works from the cabin, and a DVD, CD and VCR are offered. Also, a full variety of puzzles and games are waiting for you! Four-wheel drive suggested, essential in snow season.

NOTE: Snow plowing is done by a private company. During periods of heavy snowfall we can't guarantee when the plow will arrive. In heavy snow storms, we ask for your patience and understanding if the snow plow arrives late in the day. NO SMOKING inside the cabin, PLEASE!

See Brian Head Resort website for events, snow report, ski amenities, etc...

About Ron

Creating Wolf Point Cabin has been a passion of ours. My wife Anita and I bought the land in the fall of 1998. We began construction the next summer and by early 2000 had it completed. We did much of the work ourselves, including designing the floor plan. After hiring a contractor to build the shell, Anita and I finished it from bare drywall, including the slate and wood flooring and mosaic tile work on the kitchen breakfast bar. We were a bit reluctant to offer it for rent, but soon discovered that people respect what we've accomplished and feel the good energy there! It's very rewarding reading our guestbook and realizing that people enjoy it as much as we do. We invite you to discover Wolf Point for yourselves! Enjoy, -Ron & Anita

Ron purchased this cabin in 1998

Why Ron chose Utah

Brian Head offers the alpine terrain we love, an escape from the summer heat and a chance to get back to nature.

What makes this cabin unique

The bird and squirrel shows on the front deck are always entertaining! Grilling and eating out on the deck in the summer and fall, enjoying the company of friends, and snow tubing in the winter makes for some good memories.

What A Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

What a retreat to go home to after a hard day hiking. We called it our "Mountain Sanctuary". Everything we needed in a cozy, well-apointed cabin, in the middle of heaven. A short ride to Zion and Bryce, we came home to a comfy fire and a gourmet meal (We had 2 chefs with us!!) and slept hard with the Big Dipper right outside the window. Couldn't have asked for anything else.

Our Best Fourth of July Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This cabin exceeded our expectations. We wanted a quick getaway from the heat of Las Vegas for Independence Day weekend and to meet up with friends who live in Northern Utah. We were not prepared for how beautiful the scenery would be, especially from the wrap-around deck. We loved all the outdoor space and saw birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and were able to watch shooting stars each evening. The indoor space was also welcoming and spacious. The windows are huge and provide spectacular views. The only tricky thing about the cabin was to navigate was the stairs (the master bedroom is located upstairs). The stairs are windy and steep, so our friends who shared the cabin with us left their luggage on the main level during out stay. The space upstairs is lovely, it can just be tricky to get to. (This serves more as a warning in case you are planning on taking elderly guests or those with mobility issues to this location.) There is also another bedroom on the main level where my husband and I stayed, and it was great with a comfortable bed. There were a lot of cobwebs and spiders, which is expected for this area; but it seems like the cleaning service needs to give certain areas a once-over before guests arrive. There is also no dishwasher, so be aware when making a menu plan. We cooked all of our breakfasts and dinners here, and other than lack of dishwasher, the kitchen is ideal. We loved having easy access to Brian Head and the nearby national parks. If you're ever in the Brian Head area over the 4th, be sure and drive to the resort area and watch the fireworks. The show is unparalleled. Ron was responsive to our requests , was in constant communication with us, and confirmed a quote for us in a timely fashion. All in all, we can't wait to go back and stay here again. You won't get better scenery for the price.

Exceptional cabin in a awesome settting

  • 5 of 5

We (three adults) stayed at Wolf Point Cabin for nine days, and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. While they call it a cabin, it is so much more. It is large, comfortable, beautifully decorated, nicely furnished, excellent condition, located in the woods, with a view that goes on forever. And then there are the birds, who put on a fantastic show at the bird feeders. The location is very convenient to Cedar Breaks, Bryce and all three entry points to Zion, as well as many other interesting places in the area. The owners were very responsive to our inquiries and facilitated our stay in every way possible. Beautiful country, beautiful place, nice people to deal with. Highly recommended for others and hopefully to be repeated for ourselves.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway. It is secluded and private with spectacular views. The wrap around deck is like having an extra room with plenty of wildlife for entertainment. The owners are very nice and accommodating. Being at Wolf Point is like being at home but with a better view!

Sanctuary for the soul

  • 5 of 5

To Ron and Anita!

Thank you from all our hearts for a week in Paradise in your home.

We just got home from 7 nights of tranquility in the secluded cabin. The view from the deck is breathtaking. We felt at home from the first day. Everything you need is provided for. Flashlight, dog leash, all the spices, even food and bar options. We spent all our mornings listening to the bird’s concert, watching chipmunks fighting for the food, and admire the beautiful hummingbirds. I used the deck for my morning Yoga and Meditation as well.

The August nights were perfect for stargazing; we admire the shooting stars shower on August 12/2012 night. We loved Mother Nature many beautiful faces: from rain and thunderstorms to amazing double Rainbow, sunny again, chili at night. My husband enjoyed to chop wood (just for fun- the wood was provided too) .We relaxed by the fireplace listening to Wolf Spirit Cds, Vivaldi, etc. Ron and Anita CD-s collection is all you need in such a sanctuary of joy, tranquility and love. Our little girl, Standard Poodle - Maya loved the deck. She loved it so much; when we were ready to depart she didn’t want to come. She sat there looking at us, not moving. And that was strange, because she is very obedient.

The deck is all around the cabin, secured as well for any pets. A little meadow just few minutes away from the cabin is perfect for exercising your loved furry friends. We found edible mushrooms we cooked for dinner and some for breakfast, we picked up raspberries too. The forest provided food for us, the nearby lakes; Yankee Meadow and Panguitch Lake are filled with trout ; if you love fishing, hiking , mountain biking , yoga , meditation, you can do it all in the Summer Time at the Wolf Point Cabin. You don’t have to wait for the Winter Season to enjoy this blessed place, guarded by the Wolf spirit.

Namaste !

Monica, Sebastian and our Maya

I have beautiful pictures, I will be happy to share them soon.

We will return in Winter !
