About The Owner

Angela and I were both born and brought up in Cambridge, and after living all over the world we are now back in our home town, living just 5 minutes away from Earl Street .We love showing visitors our beautiful city, and have tried to make Earl Street the type of holiday home we would enjoy staying in ourselves.

The Owner purchased this house in 2011

Why The Owner chose Cambridgeshire

We bought Earl Street as it was a rare opportunity to buy a traditional Georgian house right in the heart of the historic city centre.

What makes this house unique

The house is in probably the best location in Cambridge to enjoy a city break, just minutes from the colleges and the market square yet in a quiet side street, it offers an authentic Cambridge experience.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Hi there, thank you Toby, everything was just perfect and we had a wonderful stay in Earl Street.

I will try to post a review on trip advisor, anyway we found your house very charming, well equipped, in a perfect location, and we appreciated the bycicles very much too.

We would definitely suggest Earl Street to anyone who wants to get into Cambridge atmosphere.

We have been very lucky to stay there and we will come back.

C'était merveilleux!

Merci Toby et Angela, à bientot

Delightful liitle house in a charming town

  • 5 of 5

The house was small, but perfectly formed; it felt like a little oasis in a busy university city. Thanks to the owners for the tasteful decorative scheme; we appreciated the artwork scattered throughout.

Great location and flexible host!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have had a better time in Cambridge! Angela was so helpful with everything. The bread and eggs were such a nice treat. Most of all, we were thankful for her flexibility with our rather last minute changing arrival time. We were traveling by train and were not 100% sure when we would arrive until the day before. Angela did everything to accommodate us upon our arrival and departure. It was so much appreciated! We would def rebook in the future. We also really enjoyed the Clarendon Arms pub right around the corner for a family dinner.

Charming cottage in great location.

  • 5 of 5

It really felt like a home away from home after traveling from Australia with a toddler. Everything I needed was there and the location was ideal for seeing Cambridge and attending a Wedding at the Clare College all on foot.

Comfortable and a very good location.

  • 5 of 5

Small and cozy within walking distance of everything I wanted to visit. Visitors with a car should be mindful of where they park. It's not marked on the curb or street as I am used to in America. Check carefully for signs. £70 if you make a mistake! A shelf next to the sink in the bathroom would be very helpful!

Wonderful House in a Perfect Location in Cambridge

  • 5 of 5

Stayed two nights at this perfectly located house in Cambridge--a ten minute walk to the City Centre and minutes from shops and a market. The house and garden are cosy, comfortable and very neat. The beds were great and the sitting room was welcoming after a day out exploring. The kitchen was well appointed. Tony and Angela were extremely thoughtful and responsive hosts. Overall, it was wonderful. We'd certainly stay here again the next time we find ourselves in Cambridge.
