and 300m from the train station to san sebastian

the apartment is fully equipped kitchen with everything you need hob, oven, toaster, coffee maker, microwave zumitera

the master bedroom with double bed 1.40 m * 2 with wardrobe

the second room has two beds (trundle beds) 0.90 * 1.90 and wardrobe

the room has a sofa bed 1.25 * 2 plasma TV 32pulgadas

the bathroom is complete with bathtub

the apartment is equipped with heating it consists of electric accumulators night

the situation, the equipment makes it ideal for families and friends for weekend breaks and longer stays

Lovely property in great location

We were met at the apartment by Jose who was very welcoming. The apartment is very comfortable and attractively decorated. It was ideally situated in the middle of bars, restaurants and shops in the old town and was a very pleasant 20 minute walk from the Guggenheim. We stayed one night only and it was perfect for our needs

Great location

Soooo close to the Mercado and walking distance to all your heart desires. The apartment was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely stay. Hoping to return and stay here again!

Good apartment in a great location

The apartment exactly described on the HomeAway website. There is reasonable living space and the furniture is comfortable. The main bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the usual appliances with the exception of a dishwasher. There were ample heaters in the apartment, but no air conditioning. We thought this might cause a problem as we were staying in mid-summer (early August), but we were lucky with the weather and just leaving a window open was enough to keep things comfortable on most days.

The apartment is not large, but we found it adequate over our 1 week stay. As a couple in a two bedroom apartment, we used the second bedroom for storage of bags, which was helpful. Bathroom was also well appointed and very clean – as was the whole apartment.

The TV is Spanish channels only. WiFi Internet access was excellent – reliable and quite fast.

The location of the apartment is probably its greatest asset. It in inside the old town area, with a multitude of restaurants, tapas and pintxo bars all around. Virtually all the main attractions of Bilbao are within walking distance. All the old town sites are under 5 minutes walk, the Goggenhein and the new town commercial district are about 10-15 minutes away. If you prefer to use the excellent tram service, then the Ribea station is about 50m away. Each station has a ticket machine, so it is very easy to use.

Special mention should go to Jose (the owner). We arrived at Bilbao at 4pm and he was there to meet us in the street outside. He helped us take our bags upstairs – second floor but more than the usual number of steps due to the height of the first floor. He not only provided a welcome bottle of wine, but a large bowl of delicious fresh fruit and a litre of milk. The kitchen cupboards were also well stocked with common commodities such as salt, pepper, oil, flour, sugar, tea, coffee, etc. Makes the first night much easier and saves bringing/buying these items that are necessary but used in small quantities. Jose does not really speak any English, but his happy, eager attitude allowed us to communicate all the necessary things.

The only negative about staying in the old town is car parking. There is virtually none available. We parked in the underground public car park near the main theater building – about 7 minutes walk. Rate is $17 Euro per day.

We can highly recommend this apartment, with the only real proviso being the air conditioning.

Excellent location

The apartment was perfectly located in a lovely part of the city and was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The immediate area was wonderful in itself but also had very good public transport connections. Jose was waiting for us when we arrived and was very welcoming. We have rented lots of apartments across Europe and have no hesitation in recommending this one.

Lovely apartment ideally located

We have just returned from a week in Bilbao, staying at this lovely apartment.

The location is ideal - in the Casco Viejo (old town) area but on one of the quieter streets. Near to the Ribera tram stop, the metro and the Atxuri train station. A Carrefour supermarket is just around the corner and a little further away, but still accessible, is a branch of Lidl!

Jose, the owner was there to greet us when we arrived and left us a plate of ham and a bottle of wine. A very welcoming gesture. Tea, coffee and sugar were also in the cupboards. The apartment was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well equipped - even shampoo, shaving cream and other toiletries were supplied.

The kitchen is a 'proper' kitchen with a full oven, plenty of pots and pans and enough space to cook a full meal using fresh ingredients from La Ribera market just across the road!

We were also very grateful for the free Wifi.

With just two of us in the apartment we had plenty of space and the same would be true for four people.

All the major attractions of Bilbao are within walking distance or a short tram ride away. We bought a 'Barik' card (similar to London's Oyster card) which can be used by more than one person for the same trip and gives a good saving on all fares plus you don't have the bother of buying a ticket every time.

We managed to see everything we had planned for and found the city a very pleasant and friendly place. There are lots of small bars in the Casco Viejo and we visited a couple but one of our favourite experiences was the Sunday lunchtime jazz in the bar at La Ribera market!

Finally if, like us, you prefer fresh milk to UHT you can buy it at La Casa del Yogur in Calle del Victor. You are given a bottle to fill from a machine and if you take the bottle back you can refill it for a reduced price.

If we return to Bilbao we will certainly stay at this apartment again and would recommend it as an ideal place from which to experience Bilbao life.

The apartment is located in a quiet street and in it there are no bars, which gives an exceptional situation, plus excellent transport links, with the metro at 200m approx, 50 m tram, 150m to the bus stop, and 50 m taxi rank

the old town, called the 7 blocks in the soul and heart of Bilbao, is its old town, full of shops ham, clothes and all, but it is also the bars, tapas and restaurants as well be pedestrian to enjoy it with all the comfort, the area is also very safe for everyone

There is the possibility of hiring parking about 300-400 m
