Two couples from Virginia, who have known each other for decades, purchased this home in 2007, after enjoying years of previous visits to San Miguel. We chose our home for its quiet location, incredible terrace views and colonial charm. From sunrise to sunset, the city is alive with wonderful sounds, friendly people and sights waiting to be discovered.
Since purchase, we strive to maintain a high standard of comfort for ourselves, as well as guests. Our guestbook is filled with compliments of our friendly staff, each ready to help take care of anyone who stays.
There are so many beautiful homes in San Miguel and we think ours is the perfect blend of the best!
"Words cannot describe how wonderful our vacation has been! Your beautiful home has far exceeded our high expectations-- what a dream! The meaningful Mexican and local details, your art, the view and all the plush comforts made our vacation! The view and pool are fabulous and Vicki and Ricardo truly made us feel at home. Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us! What a gem!"

My first time to central Mexico. If you like Sante Fe, you will love this place. Except everything here is authentic and cooler. Truly a "wow" moment when you access the private entrance behind the huge wooden compound door. Best view in the city from their multiple terraces. Vicki and Ricardo (house staff) super friendly and informative. You need to stay here.
Our week long stay at Las Tres Terazas was fantastic. This was our third trip to San Miguel de Allende and we couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. Rhonda's home is elegant and very, very comfortable ... Perfect for entertaining friends or just relaxing on the terraces overlooking the beautiful city. As the sun rose behind us it painted the city with a golden glow each morning.
The location is lovely, safe and convenient and the home is excellently maintained by Ricardo and Viki who are wonderful. Ricardo is a wealth of information about the history and traditions of San Miguel and Viki is the perfect chef and housekeeper.
We would highly recommend Las Tres Terazas to anyone who loves elegance, comfort and beauty in the setting of a wonderful city.
Muchas gracias, Rhonda,
John and Lorrie
After considering several options, I'm so glad we decided on this one. This home is beautifully decorated right down to every detail. After spending the day walking exploring the city, it was so nice to come back and unwind on one of the terraces or inside in front of the fire on chilly nights. The home is so comfortable!
We stayed there with another family and it was perfect. There were some young children, older children and adults. The layout of the home is great. The kids went downstairs to play after dinner and the adults were able to relax and talk on the main floor without getting interrupted.
The staff is very helpful and kind. We stayed over Christmas and Vicky did all our requested shopping for us. It was so nice not to have to worry about going to the grocery store for all the holiday cooking we had to do!
Rhonda, the owner of the home, is very quick to respond to email. She's extremely helpful, polite and honest. Again, we looked at many other properties. Rhonda is a big factor in why we went with her home. It amazed me how slow some people were at getting back. And when they did, they weren't all that helpful.
Thanks for the great stay!
We were a group of 4 staying in SMA for a week during the Dios de Los Muertos holidays and found Las Tres Terrazas to be the perfect accommodation for us. A lovely, comfortable property with fantastic views. It was great to be able to walk down to the Jardin and then meander our way into the centro. Taxis are a breeze and well worth using to get back to "home" given the steep climb up. Very inexpensive. We enjoyed being just far enough away from all the action, but never felt too removed. SMA is an easy town to get around in.
The beds were so comfortable and how nice to have fireplaces in the rooms as well as on the terraces ! The staff was so accommodating and very helpful. Never intrusive.
We would definitely recommend this property without any hesitations.
We stayed in Rhonda's home July 23-26, 2013. Upon arriving, my breath was taken away by the magnificent views. My family and I really enjoyed spending evenings on the three terraces by the fireplaces. The house is clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Vicky and Ricardo were amazing and attended to our every need. Vicky made us what was probably the best lunch we had in our month-long stay in Mexico. This house was perfect for our family. We hope to be back soon!
We visited San Miguel De Allende to attend my sister’s wedding in July 2013. The ceremony was held at the Parroquia San Miguel Arcangel and the reception at Villa Xido. This was a well-planned and magnificent event.
During our trip to San Miguel De Allende, we stayed at Las Tres Terrazas. It was a great choice!!! The house is conveniently located within walking distance of the Parroquia . The house also offers unforgettable views of the city. As we arrived we felt so welcomed by the staff – Vicky and Ricardo. Vicky is an excellent cook and Ricardo was helpful in providing directions.
The weather was perfect with a nice break from the summer heat of South Texas. Las Tres Terrazas was a good match for my family. It added comfort, space, cleanliness, and a nice pool.
Next time we visit San Miguel de Allende, we will definitely consider staying at your house.

San Miguel de Allende is a vibrant community located in Guanajuato, Mexico, nestled on a hillside with a spectacular view of the Guanajuato Mountains. San Miguel de Allende is filled with cobblestone streets, old mansions and centuries old cathedrals. The town is located four hours from Mexico City, and is home to two major art institutions. Wander down the streets and discover 18th century mansions, lovely fountains and historic monuments – all reminders of San Miguel’s illustrious past. San Miguel also has a surprisingly large number of very good international restaurants. In fact, this beautiful city has a reputation for having the best “small town” dining in all of Mexico. Shopping is also very diverse. A special artisans’ market sells traditional crafts, furniture, ceramics, folk art, silver jewelry, tin, glass and more. One block north of Calle Mesones is a traditional covered market that sells fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and meats.
