Palazzo Rosadi is a beautifully restored historical manor house dating from 1785, and has been in the Rosadi family for over 200 years. It offers 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and a private pool. It is a luxurious country home in a wonderful location near the little village of Monterchi (near Arezzo), all surrounded by a wide, private park with a wonderful garden and a pool warmed by an all day sun exposure with an impressive panoramic view.
One of the charms of staying in Tuscany is that most houses have a long and interesting history. Palazzo Rosadi is not an exception! In 1889 Francesco Rosadi came to live in Ripoli with his family. He had bought a number of farm estates in the area, and Palazzo Rosadi was in a good and central position to run and manage all of them. In 1902 Palazzo Rosadi was extended as the family had already grown. They used the services of a local artist, Giangio, from Monterchi, who decorated the majority part of the bedrooms and corridors. During the 2nd World War the house was used as a refuge to the inhabitants of Ripoli, during a 2 week bombardment by German forces.
In more recent times, the house has been used as a family home, from where they managed the farming of their local land. From the year 2000, the Rosadi family became involved in tourism.
Palazzo Rosadi offers a unique accommodation. You will find precious period furniture and all the modern comforts making your stay pleasant and relaxing.

The Palazzo Rosadi was the setting for 9 senior American ladies, gathering together for a reunion and celebration of their friendship. Planning began a year ahead of time, made easier through the experience and attention of the agency, EasyReserve of the U.K. They were very professional and answered all queries promptly.
Driving up to the villa on our arrival day was just 'jaw dropping'. The grounds and manor house were stunning and beautifully cared for. And there were even more pleasant surprises in the interior. The bedrooms were large, comfortable and with each having beautiful artistic paintings on the walls and ceilings.
But one of the most wonderful things about staying here was meeting the Rosadi family. This is family owned and operated with every attention to detail for their guests comfort. They are very proud of this property and we're wonderful hosts......attentive while respecting our privacy. Rosado was very helpful with excursions, such as wine tasting, restaurants and interesting sites to visit. All in all, this villa, location and e perience far exceeded our expectations, and we all left with a fondness for the Monterchi area and the Rosadi family.
We booked this for a 2nd time. There were 11 of us and we were all delighted with the beautiful villa and our wonderful host.
Our group of 5 couples used Palazzo Rosadi for our recent week in Tuscany. Difficult to add more glowing words about this property than have already been posted on this website. If you have a fairly large group of people traveling together, this villa is an excellent choice. The owner, Rosadi and his parents could NOT have been more gracious and helpful during our stay at this historic villa. The location is out in the beautiful Tuscan countryside near the Umbrian border. The charming village of Monterchi is only 5-7 minutes away, where you will find a small supermarket that has everything you might need for your stay at the villa. The kitchen is equipped nicely with everything you need to prepare lovely dinners.
We spent one day in Florence and found taking the train from Arrezo (20 minutes away from the villa) to Florence (Firenze)was an excellent alternative to driving, since parking and driving in Florence is extremely difficult. The 30 minute trip was very relaxing and delivers you to the Santa Maria Novella station, a 5-10 minute walk to the historic section. A vehicle is a must if you are staying at this villa. If Mr. Rosado offers to take you on a visit to a nearby Monastery outside of Sansepulcro,do it. This small mountain-top place has been there since 1132 A.D. and was frequented by St. Francis of Assisi during his travels. Our group felt it was one of the highlights of the 2 weeks we were in Italy. Also, pay heed to Mr. Rosadi's recommendation for local restaurants... he even called and made reservations at La Pieve Vecchio, outside Monterchi, where we dined at on two occasions. Also, travel the short trip to Anghiari and dine at Da Alghiero, another worthwhile recommendation by Mr. Rosadi. The owners, Gianni and Sylvia will treat you like family, once they find out you know Rosadi.
Overall, Palazzo Rosadi exceeded our expectations on many levels. First time in Tuscany and Italy, but do hope it won't be our last......
Great palazzo, beautiful garden and surrounding. Everything is well-kept by the very friendly and helpful owner Rosado. The palazzo is very clean and well equipped, perfect for a group. Lots of space and historic atmosphere. Everyone liked the week a lot and we are looking forward to return.
