Waterford Cottage Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, sleeps 6

Located on serene Shadow Lake in Concord, Vt. this 3 bedroom lakeside loft invites you to enjoy the view from the deck that shows you one end of the lake to the other and views of the White Mtns., NH. This loft has been remodeled from what was one of the original buildings on this secluded lake. It was once a carriage house originally built in 1907.

Relax while sitting on the deck which overlooks the lake. We have added skylites to our bedrooms.

If you are looking for a good swimming area for young children--we have a gradual slope to the water.

Enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, and canoeing.

We will even provide the canoe and two kayaks for your use.

If your interested we have a 16 foot pontoon boat for rent

We have a stone outdoor fireplace--enjoy sitting around the fire!

This rental far exceeded our expectation. The home was immaculate and well supplied and the furnishings and decorations were perfect for a vacation home. Aside from the great lake and land view from our kitchen table and outside deck, the skylights inside allowed lots more light to brighten an already cheerful living area. The friendly owners live nearby and they are always ready to provide help or answer any questions.

We love to fish and planned on using the rowboat available at no cost along with our electric motor. We, however, decided to rent the pontoon boat (what a great rate for the week!) and it was absolutely a senior's dream to use as a fishing boat. We caught white perch, chain pickerel and bass.

A short walk on Shadow Lake Road took us to amazing meadows filled with Lupus! Blue, pink and white stalks were in full bloom. We also enjoyed the quiet surroundings and actually went into town twice to the local diner for a bit of conversation and an abundance of tasty food.

Next year we are considering a rental in both spring and fall. The foliage might be more beautiful than the Lupus! We definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

Hi Mary & Elwyn,

Loved the vacation spot again for the third time and never gets boring. This is our favorite spot we found. Its very quiet and beautiful. You listen to the loons at night and watch the sunset and sunrise over the lake. Very kid friendly as well. Theres so much to do! I so recomend this spot to anyone. Thanks so much again!

Once again, we loved it!

This was our 2nd time there, this time was even better!

We have 2, young kids, of which had the "best vacation ever".

They enjoyed the lake, the calling of loons, the pontoon boat, fishing, game room, and all the activities we did outside the rental.

We went horse back riding, Cabot tour, Ben and Jerry's (deeee-lish), Santa's Village, and on way home, stopped in N. Conway to see Thomas the Tank engine.

While leaving, right down the street, saw the tail end of a moose!

Completely equipped with all you need, and then some!

TONS to do with kids, with no kids, or just chillin' !

Thanks again for all you do guys!

Beautiful Vacation Rental

  • 5 of 5

Mr. & Mrs. Whitehead,

We had such a wonderful stay at your home. I loved the smell of the pine. Even though it rained while we were there we still found plenty of things to do inside the house. Right from the beginning of our stay we felt like we were home. Everything was just perfect about this rental. We even saw a bear crossing the road. Can't wait to come back.

Amy & Keith
