Very Comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The property was right across from the lake with direct views. There was a large patio/deck facing the lake with a built-in gas BBQ which worked really well. It was close enough to the main road and close to Twain Harte and Pinecrest Lake. House was well equiped with all the essentials. Large family room with vaulted ceilings with comfy furniture. It was clean and well taken care of. No complaints here.

Home away from home..

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at "Camp Christensen" and we loved it! Our kids now refer to it as "our cabin" and speak of it often. The cabin is very comfortable and nicely stocked with everything you'll need to feel right at home. Dana is wonderful to work with as well. We look forward to our third annual trip...

Perfect Family Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is seriously like a home away from home. Even with snow on the ground in the middle of winter, my family and I were cozy and warm and really appreciated the central heating AND wood burning fireplace.

There are no neighbors to obstruct your view of the lake and there is a playground and a dog park within the gated community, in very short walking distance.

We had no glitches and prepared many meals in the well equipped and well maintained kitchen. One word of advice: try pie in the sky which is a local pizza place just up the road- you won't regret it :)

Five stars, hands down

Nice but some problems.

  • 3 of 5

My family and I enjoyed out visit and the house. However there were a few problems such as the stripped shower faucet which was a major inconveince. We used the grill one night and then it ran out of propane. We were allowed to bring our old lab, unfortuately she had an accident, which we paid for with part of our deposit. But otherwise the house was great!

Owner's Response: Glad to hear that Cindy P and her guests enjoyed their stay at the house. It was indeed unfortunate that there was a problem with the shower, and that the propane tank ran out of gas. The shower issue has since been resolved, and I've had a permanent line run from the gas grill to the main propane tank to ensure that guests do not run into the inconvenience of an empty propane tank. Also--a new gas range has been installed, the house has been freshly painted, and a number of other enhancements have been made to make your visit even more comfortable! We look forward to having you visit our mountain retreat!

Great Place!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place! It was so nice and very well taken care of. The front room and deck are highlights. There are no rear neighbors so the deck looks out over the property and the lake. It was very hot during our stay and we were able to cool the house down with the attic fan and ceiling fan very quickly in the evening. We hope to stay there again in the near future.
