Thank you for letting us stay in your BEAUTIFUL home in Ridgeway. We had a wonderful time, as did the dogs. We’ve decided that it is now our favorite home for vacationing in Colorado. We will definitely be planning another vacation.
This cabin is pretty perfect in every aspect. We stayed for two weeks and loved it. There is endless things to do and the scenery is amazing. Our dogs absolutely loved running in the huge yard...chasing chipmunks! (too fast for dogs though). The cabin itself is great, nice, roomy, homey and cozy. Perfectly located nestled right up to the mountain it's conveniently close to both Ouray and Ridgway which are both great towns. We enjoyed relaxing in the evening outside watching the sunset shine on the mountains across the valley after long days of hiking, jeeping, kayaking, etc. The Mountains in this area are awesome and IMO are the most impressive in Colorado. Telluride is also a very easy and beautiful short drive away (~45 min), which was great also. We went over there a few times and hiked, shopped, ate, drank and hung out. Ouray is one of the coolest little mountain towns you'll ever visit and 4th of July there was a lot of fun. Sad we had to leave but we will definitely be back!
We just returned from a wonderful stay in Terry's beautiful home. The location is absolutely perfect. Tucked up against the mountainside overlooking a gorgeous valley. Secluded yet very close to both Ouray and Ridgeway.
The home is perfect. One that makes you feel at home with every convenience and comfort you could want. The kitchen is great for preparing meals for two or ten. The living areas are roomy yet cozy. Coming home after a round of golf or a long mountain hike and soaking in the hot tub brought each day to a magical end.
We did not rent the guest house but did take a peek while we were there. It is really special too. A great deck with a spectacular view.
Terry is a wonderful property owner. Very easy to work with. Low key yet always available via phone/email for any questions.
HIGHLY recommend a stay! Thank you again Terry for everything. We will be back! :)
This house is wonderful with spectacular views. Has great cozy sitting areas to gather. Enjoyed my morning coffee with amazing views and a beautiful deer that would visit. The house is equipped with everything you could need. Fabulous kitchen and grill for family dinners. Your close enough to town for shopping, dinning and nightly ice cream. Yet far enough to truly appreciate the mountains. Terry is easy to work with and low key but helpful. We appreciate that he opens his home for others to enjoy.
My husband and I stayed at Terry's beautiful mountain home for a week in August along with our sheepdog, Steve. The house is tucked into the mountains with stunning views of the surrounding country. Every morning we would sit on the terrace with our coffee and gaze over the meadow. The house is generously equipped with a gourmet kitchen, cozy woodburning stove, and oversized comfy furniture. The bed in the master suite was extremely comfortable, and we would leave the balcony door open each night and enjoy the mountain breezes. I spent an hour each day in Terry's study which has a computer with internet access. It didn't even feel like "work" as I answered emails and embraced the majestic mountain views. I also enjoyed several soaks in the oversized jacuzzi adjacent to the master suite. The shower had awesome water pressure. There are books and movies galore to be enjoyed by Terry's guests. Bill and I felt like we were honored guests rather than "rentors." We particularly enjoyed seeing the wildlife including deer and many varieties of birds. There are beautiful trails to hike, and Terry's home is situated just a few minutes from the quaint town of Ouray. We can't wait to return next summer! Susan and Bill Collier
We loved our stay at this wonderful house. The house sits on about an acre of plush mountain grass overlooking the valley between Ridgway (2 miles north) and Ouray (8 miles) south. The inside of the house is wonderfully cozy and full of very nice warm touches that show the owner cares the place and loves it too. The 30 foot ceiling in the main room makes nice area for visiting with family after a long day of sightseeing, and the kids love the media room and the computer area. The wifi worked great and fast, which was important to me since I had to do a bit of work while there. The jacuzzi felt great in the evening and early morning. The owner was great to work with from beginning to end -- you get the sense he wants you to enjoy his nice house as much as he does. The house was clean and everything in the ad was the way it was. Enjoy, but don't step on the dates I want it next year! ;-)
An absolutely beautiful property, this home is clearly well-loved and cared for. With its abundance of view windows, the well kept grounds, the abundance of wildlife (we saw the deer leap the fence), the feeling of safe areas for children to explore, and the tasteful interior style and western decor, this comfortable home was well worth the drive from California. It is also close to Montrose airport and not that far from Grand Junction airport. We felt privileged to be able to stay and enjoy this great home for a week, and look forward to coming back. Close enough to Ouray with its hot springs and also the Ridgway cutoff to Telluride and the incredible beauty of Southwest Colorado, we had the privacy and relaxation never to be found in a busy hotel. The pictures and descriptions were very accurate. We recommend this to anyone. The owner provided great service and was always available by phone or e-mail.
Experience the most dramatic scenery and feelings of tranquility that the rugged Colorado Rockies have to offer. Take in the exciting views while you travel along the private ranch of Ralph Lauren and see the sites of wild deer and elk along the San Miguel River. Rent a jeep and take the many jeep trails that cross through the ten thousand foot mountain peaks. Go fly fishing in the many gold medal streams The true place to 'stop the chatter'.
