The cabin has a few neighbors – the property is fenced and heavily wooded, offering lots of privacy when you are on the property. The hot tub is private! Almost everyone in Ashford lives in neighborhoods. This is because infrastructure in rural area is so important. There are times when Ashford has three plus feet of snow. Being in a neighborhood assures that the roads will be plowed, and there is access to water, power and the all mighty internet!

I grew up hiking with my family around Mt. Rainier as a young girl and fell in love with the mountain and all it has to offer. I have been a business owner in Washington State since 1997. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Interior Architecture. I have two grown boys and four rescue puppies.
Kathy purchased this Cabin in 2007
Why Kathy chose Ashford
I fell in love with the area, the serenity of the woods and living close to Mt. Rainier.
What makes this Cabin unique

Fantastic, helpful host, great bed, fabulous hot tub
Nice private getaway.
Had everything you needed. The bed in the bedroom was sooooo comfortable but the pull-out couch soooooo uncomfortable. Hot tub has privacy. The neighbors feed the deer daily so there are deer there daily. Had three raccoons in the yard. Very nice facility. The cost is cheaper going directly through the rental place. There was a $61.00 service fee included in the bill but it was never mentioned in conversation. Total surprise.
oh dear...what a treat
This is a sweet little cabin for all. Not to big but has what we needed. Good food in the area Coppercreek and the train in Elbe and a nice drive to Rainier all was great and very nice neighbors who throw out a little grain every few days and bring in does with babies so much fun to see them so closes.Thank you again we had a great time// Grumpa and Grandma Pearson...
Perfect!!! Incredible little house in a perfect location
This little house couldn't be more perfect! It is absolutely perfect on the inside. It was so clean that I felt guilty and came home and cleaned my house like 3 times. All jokes aside, this house is a gem. You won't be disappointed and I really can't wait to come back and stay there again. Everything I needed to cook while I was there, was in the kitchen. The bathroom was beautiful and the towels were so incredibly soft! The bed was also perfect. I have never slept better in my life! Oh yeah, the deer in the pictures...that's for real! Every morning, there was a family of deer in the yard that just hung out. Absolutely unbelievable! Big thanks to Kathy for making this cottage so wonderful!!!! This stay was the perfect end to a very long business trip. I really hated to have to come home to Florida where it's 85 degrees and very humid :(
The property and the area was absolutely delightful!
The cabin offers all the comforts of home with the ability to completely unplug or stay connected. All accommodations well exceeded expectations with the most unexpected surprise being fully stocked gourmet kitchen that puts other kitchettes to shame. We will definitely return!
One of my favorite spots
I have stayed here several times now for weekend getaways, alone and with company and it is always wonderful. Everything is stocked and beautifully decorated. The bed is amazing, I could spend the whole trip hiding in it. Love the hot tub too. The cabin isn't to big or small, it feels perfectly cozy. the back yard feels secluded, but in reality you are in a small neighborhood, which for a woman traveling alone is comforting. It is a quick drive to some cute local restaurants and a great home base for days hiking at Paradise. i am addicted to the quiet and peace here and plan more stays in the future
Mt Rainier Paradise Entrance is only five minutes away from cabin. Park is open all year!
