This home is located just off of Hwy. 183 in the Outer Banks Subdivision midway up Lake Keowee. The home is an A-frame style with a great view from 3 levels. Gentle grade down to the double slip dock. Large deck for sunbathing and relaxing. Great place for the family to swim, relax and enjoy lake living. The property is less than 15 minutes from Clemson University or Seneca SC. Lake Keowee is a 23 mile long, 18,500 acre lake that has been voted one of the cleanest lakes in the South East. Several golf courses in the general area. There are restaurants located on the water as well as within easy driving distance. Close to many waterfalls, scenic rivers, and surrounded by mountains; once you stay you will want to come back year after year!

About Lake Keowee: Lake Keowee is 90% undeveloped and has property available on the lake beginning in the mid $200's. Homes begin around $400,000 and go up. There are 3 World Class Golf Courses on the Lake including The Cliffs at Keowee Vinyards designed by Tom Fazio(where the Nationwide BMW Pro-Am tourney is played), Cliffs Falls South designed by Jack Nicklaus, and The Reserve golf course also designed by Nicklaus.

Lake Jocassee: Located just above Lake Keowee is lake Jocassee which has only 50+/- homes on this 13,500 acre lake. Replete with waterfalls and sporting the State Record for the Largest brown Trout, it is a lake with incredible mountain views and waterfalls you can take your jet skis under. Once you see it you will fall in love. Devils Fork state park is where you put your water vehicles in and explore the area from their. There are diving trips, fishing tours and a whole lot more. The landing on Lake Jocassee is only about 30 minutes from this vacation home and is a must see!

Seneca/Clemson: All the amenities of a large town with a small town flavor. You will enjoy shopping and dining in and around this two jewels of the south. There is also a calendar of events located their that will help you map out your activities on your upcoming vacation.

Perfect location, house and lake!

We had a great time staying at this house. The house was so nice yet still had the cabin feel. More than enough sleeping and eating space for a big group. House comes with everything you need. We weren't sure what to bring in terms of foil, coffee filters, fire wood etc. and the house had it all. The yard is great, with a fire pit, horse shoe pit and an awesome dock. Also, in quiet calm cove for swimming. We will definitely be back, thanks!

The low stress zone...

This house was perfect for us. We were able to give our two teenagers some freedom I the downstairs apartment while chilling out upstairs. We were also able to put our boat into one of the two open slips that came with the house rental. We stayed for 8 days with 3 teenagers and 3 dogs and it was the most stress free time that I can remember.

Location nice, but house not so much!

The location of the property was beautiful. The outside dock and deck were lovely. The lakefront home is located at the end of a cove and is shared by about a dozen homes. Our biggest complaint was the cleanliness of the house, mattresses and what was supplied to us in the kitchen. The upstairs living area, bedrooms and kitchen were fairly clean. The kitchen pots and pans were worn with wobbly handles. The kitchen cabinets were unorganized, packed with year so kitchen junk and looked liked they had not been cleaned out in a long time. So before we could put non-refrigerated groceries away we had to clean cabinets. Microwave was worn ( button to open it would stick constantly). Loft area and back bedroom were the nicest. Bunk bed mattress was worn and sagged. The spiral stairs leading up to the master bedroom loft felt unstable, it shakes as you walk on it.

The lower level living area was NOT clean. Kitchen area sink was slow to drain and garbage disposal did not work so water backed up and did not drain for hours. (We did call the manager who runs the house and he said he "would let the owners know and see what we can do about getting it taken care of." Never heard back.) Under the kitchen sink was dirty as well as under the bunk beds which was VERY dirty - no one had cleaned since who knows when. The air vents in the ceiling were full of dust. Carpet was worn especially the area bordering the kitchen (watch for the nail when walking in your bare feet !). The sofa bed was horrible for sleeping. The frame felt as if it was poking through the mattress. The sheets used on the bunk beds was worn. Bathroom in lower level could have been cleaner. The shower curtain liner and curtain had black mold. The chest of drawers in the lower level needed to be wiped before we used it and we did not touch the top drawer because it was full of loose change, other junk and just gross.

In both the upper and lower levels we had to search to find a place to hang clothes and when we found it, it was limited. one small closet to hang clothes for a cabin advertised for so much more.

There was a grill outside that my husband used all week to grill. The first night he cooked there was a big grease fire ! HE HAD TO CLEAN IT the next day pulling out what had not been cleaned out for a LONG time.

Property location, nice. House needs a lot of TLC and updating. Property owners should find out what they are paying for in upkeep & get things corrected.

Owner's Response: First of all we’d like to apologize for the issues you have raised and any inconvenience they have caused and thank you for bringing them to our attention. It is our desire that every renter we have in our Nautica Pt. cottage have the best vacation possible. We strive to outfit the home so that our renters have the things they need, and have no trouble finding a thing when they desire it. While we cannot fix the lack of storage space overall (being a cabin it wasn’t designed with lots of closet space, etc.), we can remove some of the objects that are unnecessarily taking up space, better organize, and replace pots, pans and any older sheets. After a season of rentals, things get moved around and worn out we should do a better job of getting them back into place and replaced as necessary. In an effort to ensure that these things are taking care of going forward we are adding a check list and additional walk through for and with our cleaning staff to make sure nothing is overlooked and everything is cleaned properly. The disposal has been repaired, the carpet nail in the basement kitchenette will be taken care and any older sheets will be replaced. We are also inspecting and replacing any items in the home that may be worn, not working correctly or in need of replacement. We’ll strive hard to make sure your next stay is in better keeping with your expectations.

Great family fun!

What a wonderful lake house. With multiple family members visiting the Greenville area this house quickly became the "hangout" place. The house was warm, inviting, and spacious and the family spent hours on the dock and in the lake. I would not hesitate to come for another visit or to recommend this rental to friends.

Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing

We couldn't have asked for a better home to stay at for our lake vacation! We have never been to Lake Keowee so we had no idea where to stay on the lake. We picked this house and we couldn't have been happier! It really was the perfect vacation lake house! No complaints at all! Our only complaint is that we didn't stay longer :)

Terrific location!

We came for a week with another family and there was plenty of room for us and our teenagers and with three full bathrooms we never had to wait! The house was tidy and pretty well appointed with a gas grill on the deck for quick and easy dinners. The dock was spacious enough for our pontoon boat and two jet skis. The upper deck was a great hang out for morning coffee or to relax after a long day on the lake. Being located right across from Warpath Landing made boat rental easy. Our family would return and had a wonderful, peaceful week on Lake Keowee.

Enjoy fifteen State Parks within 30 minutes of the homes location. As well as major college sports, botanical gardens, and much more around Clemson University. The area is repeat with festivals, hiking areas, waterfalls, and everything a nature lover would want to see. But that is not all you can enjoy all the major plays that come up and down the east coast in Greenville SC's Peace Center for the performing arts. It and all Greenville has to offer are less than an hour away.
