Great cabin on the lake just north of Port Sanilac

  • 5 of 5

The cabin has it all being on the lake , clean , plenty of room inside and out. The house has a nice screened in pourch over looking the lake and deck on the back with a grill and patio set. It also has the basic essentials needed (kitchen acc, board games, TV , etc ) so you don't have to bring a lot. Very nice property !

I can't wait to go back.

  • 5 of 5

This is the cleanest house I've ever rented! The house is right on Lake Huron. Beautiful views, and the house is laid out very well. There were plenty of chairs for us to enjoy the beach, even a fire pit for our use. It is only 1.5 hours drive from Metro Detroit, and dog friendly, which fit my needs perfectly.

Nice little Cottage!

  • 4 of 5

Our experience was awesome. Great place for a family to unplug! The cottage was a little small and kind of "funky". The kitchen was really small but surprisingly functional and the bathroom was off the front porch. The beach was close and adequate. Overall it was a great 5 nights.

Owner's Response: Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. The cottage was built in the 30's. I guess it could seem a little funky in our time if you don't know the history of it. The bathroom was added on later, they only had out houses when it was built. Also, the sun porch and the TV area use to be out door porches. In the early 80's, it was closed in for more indoor living space. History is fun, love it. Hope you come back to stay with us again.

Nice view but, very out of date

  • 2 of 5

We knew the house was small but, I would have loved to see some updated amenities and decor. Musty old smell and beds were very old. View was fantastic but, barely any beach area until the waves washed away all of the cement blocks. Sunroom was nice but again the cushions were old.

Owner's Response: So sorry you felt this way. The smell when you first come in, caught me off guard too until I realized it was the smell from the brand new pine wood on the sun porch. The beds are not too old except for the twin. It does need replacing you are right on that one. Most of the furniture is from the era that the cottage was built. Very well built and sturdy. It's almost like stepping back in time. It shows this in the pictures on line. Sorry you didn't like it. We try very hard to keep up on the needs of our renters. Thank you for your opinion. That's what reviews are for. We went ahead and bought all new bed spreads & an area rug. I need to up date the photos.

Quiet and peaceful

  • 4 of 5

Cute little cottage with amazing views! We spent our time with our toes in the water watching and listening to the waves. When we weren't on the beach we were enjoying the view from the enclosed porch. Quiet and peaceful and our dog loved it too. Nice mini vacation!

This was a beautiful cottage on a private beachfront with a breathtaking view of lake Huron.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a quick little relaxing getaway at this beautiful Cottage. It was very clean and well-kept the beach front view of Lake Huron was beautiful. We enjoyed evenings out by the fire pit roasting marshmallows and walking the beach. We can't wait to go back !!!
