We love sharing the beauty of the lakes, woods and vineyards of the FLX with our guests and are excited for you to come and be our guest at one of our vacation rental homes. We can't wait for you to get the full FLX the water on one of the lakes, sipping wines from the many fantastic wineries in the area, trying craft beers from the breweries, or sampling the amazing foods from the eateries. Come visit the Finger Lakes and be our guests!
Why Joleen Glick chose Bradford
Riverside Cottage is tucked into a very quiet, rural neighborhood on the southern end of Lamoka Lake, not far from Bradford. The cottage is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and unplug. Wildlife are plenty and the quiet sounds of the water, the trees and the birds provide a backdrop of serenity.

Location was perfect. A quiet spot with minimal traffic. Easy to reach many of the lakes.
Needs better hospitakity
Nice location with access to Keuka and Seneca. Quiet. Nice neighbors. Nice location on Lamoka. Place needs some work however. Bathroom small and needs upgraded. Toilet doesn’t flush well. A/C units are unsafe in the bedrooms and are fixed to windows with screws. Plus they are sealed off with duct tape. Exterior needs to be cleaned up a bit. Mattresses are uncomfortable. No WIFI or cable. Old school tube television.
You're better off elsewhere
I had high hopes for this property for a nice vacation with my kids but it missed the mark. There is one window air conditioner for the main area of the house and one of the 3 bedrooms has a window unit as well. On an 85+ degree day, they don't cut it and you can be sure to go to bed hot if you're in a back bedroom.
The toilet barely flushes and will need two or three flushes to get things to go down. The kitchen faucet isn't firmly attached to the sink and freely rotates around. You can take your pick on beds and what type of back pain you'd like to wake up with either hard as a rock or sleeping in a soft ditch. There also isn't an elevator as advertised.
This end of the "lake" is almost completely covered in slime, algae and lilly pads making both swimming and fishing impossible which was a huge let down. We did manage to catch quite a few sunfish and bluegills but you can be sure to be frustrated with every cast if you don't get it into one of the few non-algae covered holes in the muck. I actually snapped a pole in half trying to reel in a small fish because of the amount of gunk I was pulling in other than the 4" long fish.
There were near constant bugs, mosquitos, and spiders inside the house and being outside after dark is a near death sentence with the amount of mosquitos coming off the lake and the somewhat marshy back yard. All the doors inside the property are extremely difficult to get closed if they close at all and the kitchen ware is an plethora of odds and ends of things to eat on and cook with. If you're planning on cooking something special you'll need to bring along a decent pot or pan to do it in.
If you're not looking for much or only staying a day or two this place would probably be adequate but if you're looking for more you're best off paying a little more per night at the opposite end of the lake and maybe also getting some wi-fi or cable thrown in. This place is like the fortress of solitude and a friendly neighbor was the highlight of our trip.
We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was as described, and the house clean and spacious for the 4 of us. The location is great for relaxing and enjoying the lake. We loved go out on the kayaks and proximity with other Finger Lake activities.
