About the property

Set in the heart of the Limousin Périgord National Park La Broulie is a 200 year old farmhouse with some of the barns around the courtyard dating back to the 17th century. It is positioned in the middle of it's own 75 acres of farmland, woods and lake, and is wonderfully isolated with far reaching views over the surrounding countryside.

Inside: 5 x double bedrooms, attic room sleeps 6 (ideal for kids), 4 x bathrooms (2 en-suite), 3 x reception rooms (wood burners & sky boxes), dining room (seats 12/14), big kitchen/diner (large hob, 2 x ovens, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer), 2 x utility rooms (washing machine, tumble dryer, 2nd fridge, 2nd freezer), study room, telephone and internet, pool table.

Outside: heated swimming pool (12 x 5m, open 1st June to 1st October), electric hard safety cover, sun loungers and sofas, daybed, shower, 2 x barbecues, outside covered dining area can sit 12 comfortably with 14 at a squeeze, lighting and power for ipods etc ensure you can wine and dine into the small hours. Lake stocked with carp, table tennis, some old bikes but best to bring your own as there is excellent cycling in the area, both on and off road.

Location: situated in the Perigord/Limousin national park approx 30 mins south west of Limoges and 45 mins north of Perigeaux. There is lots to do with swimming, fishing, canoeing and sailing in the numerous lakes and rivers, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, excellent outdoor go-karting course nearby, tennis court in village, lots of typical French chateaux's to explore and if you're into pottery take a tour around the world famous porcelain factories in Limoges.

Lovely farm house

Great holiday had by all.

The pool (heated for those who do not like it too cold) was used on pretty much a full time basis and was the source of great entertainment for the kids.

House was lovely and spacious. Very nice farmhouse kitchen to assist in rustling up some delicious French dinners.

Tim was very responsive in assisting when one of the kids feel ill and provided details of clinics to visit

All in all a great time was had by all

Absolutely amazing - everything you want

We booked this amazing farmhouse last minute and Tim, the owner was so helpful over the phone and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived and were totally in awe of how beautiful the place really is. Definitely breathtakingly beautiful, we had the most amazing week, the pool/pool area is to die for. We had many an evening swimming until 10pm, drinks and BBQ near the pool. A couple of us ventured out on a long cycle ride and was worth the sweat and tears, most beautiful scenery and lovely buildings on route. The most relaxing and best time was had by all eleven of us, age range; 5 - 52. We will definitely return. Thank you for renting your property, it's fabulous.

Nous avons passé quelques jours pour fêter le jour de l'an entre amis et notre séjour a été très agréable.

Nous étions 16 personnes dont 8 enfants qui ont aussi beaucoup apprécié le séjour.

Les chambres et la literie sont très confortables et l'espace cuisine très pratique.

Nous reviendrons certainement pour profiter des espaces extérieurs en été.

CHECK-IN TIME is AFTER 4 P.M. AND CHECKOUT is 10 A.M. NO Early Check-in or late checkout.
SECURITY/RESERVATION DEPOSIT - A security deposit of £500 is required or if less than £500, 20% of the total rental. This must be received within five (5) days of booking the holiday property. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met.
• No damage is done to the property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
• No charges are incurred due to illegal activity, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.
• All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in rubbish bin, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned.
• All keys are left on the kitchen table and the house and outbuildings are left locked.
• All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
• No linens are lost or damaged.
• NO early arrival or late departure.
We ask that you report all damage as soon as possible. We reserve the right to replace or repair any breakage/loss at your expense and to deduct the costs from the Returnable Damages Deposit accordingly. Breakage, loss or damage may postpone the Returnable Damages Deposit refund until after the repairs/replacement have been completed. If the Returnable Damages Deposit is insufficient to cover repair/replacement costs, you must pay the additional costs.
Full terms and conditions will be sent prior to the first payment.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
