8 Bed, 6 Bath Spacious & Luxury Country House Set in Own Grounds.

Edgar Farmhouse is an 8 bedroom, 6 bathroom period farmhouse.

Edgar Farmhouse forms the principle dwelling house of an ancient farmstead. The surrounding barns date from the early 19th Century and, whilst they require some upkeep work, add to the magnificence of the site (although, access is not permitted to these barns). The house benefits from large rooms and original features throughout.

Meanwhile the property has been updated to ensure it meets the needs of our clients during their stay. Of the 6 bath/shower rooms, 5 are en-suite, with a wonderful family bathroom with freestanding centre bath.

The large gardens are walled and extend to over an acre. There is the addition to the house of an indoor swimming pool and tennis court.

The house is fully equipped with all modern conveniences and the kitchen is superbly stocked with everything necessary for you to prepare anything from a simple summer luncheon through to a fabulous 5 course celebratory meal.

The dining room, just off the kitchen, will seat everyone comfortably around the one large table.

There is a large reception lounge with 'Smart' TV, internet WiFi, and plenty of soft seating to relax on, as well as a wood-burning stove for use on those winter evenings. That said, the property benefits from an excellent central heating system with new boiler.

Fabulous house for a weekend with friends!

The property is a great place to host a large group of friends or family! We had 20 staying and were impressed with the facilities. Plenty of space to spread out, the house was lovely and warm and a pool out in the garden was the cherry on top. Fish and Chip shop down the road serves great food and Wells isn't far. A visit to Holt can provide a decent afternoon tea.

There was plenty of food storage space and hot water running. We would recommend a visit.

Edgar Farmhouse is situated in one of the prettiest areas in North Norfolk, close to the world-class beaches at Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea and within easy driving distance of the the fabulous towns of Holt, Fakenham, Burnham Market and Blakeney. The Royal retreat of Sandringham is a 20 min drive away. Walsingham lies between Fakenham and the fabulous seaside town of Wells-next-the-sea. Walsingham is the site of a medieval pilgrimage still hugely popular today (in fact the UK's most popular pilgrimage).

This is one of the most popular and sought-after locations in Norfolk, ranking highly with holiday-makers year after year, due to the fantastic beaches, countryside, ancient towns and villages and excellent local attractions.

Whether you want a day at the Races (Fakenham course is 10 mins away) or walks on the famous beaches, strolls over undulating countryside or time spend in the many traditional and contemporary pubs, bars and restaurants, Edgar Farmhouse is superbly located as your luxurious base.

We recommend the seals at Blakeney marshes, as well as the Royal residence at Sandringham. Also, you should find time to take a trip on the restored steam railways that puff their way through the area. And any trip to Norfolk would not be complete without a day spent in Norwich, one of the UK's largest and most important cities. And if you really want to get away from it all, then head to the Norfolk Broads, where you can hire a boat for an hour, a day or longer and meander around large sections of the most beautiful scenery in the country. There is also numerous fabulous stately homes to visit apart from Sandringham; including Holkham Hall, through to Blickling, now part of the National Trust.

And if you want children's entertainment, there are many popular and great value attractions such as 'Pleasurewood Hills, Africa Alive, Banham Zoo, etc etc.

Pet Fee $39.62
Refundable damage deposit $660.33

A heating surcharge of £185 is payable for each booking. This amount is payable all year round and covers the cost of the house heating, the AGA heating and the swimming pool heating costs. It is payable per booking rather than per week or similar pro-rata style.

30% of the rental rate is payable upon booking. This is non-refundable. The balance of 70% of the booking rental rate is payable 3 months before the booking start date. The security deposit and any heating surcharge is payable 2 weeks prior to the booking start date. The security deposit is £500 without dogs, or £700 with.

We recommend our clients take out their own holiday insurance as we cannot offer refunds if you are unable to use your holiday home booking for any reason.

There is a hot water, heating & AGA surcharge of £150 per booking. In addition there is a security deposit of £500 per booking, which is held against damages etc. and is fully refunded if no issues occur. This security deposit will raise to £700 if dogs are to be included.

Weekly change-over day is Friday. Check-in is 4pm on Friday and check-out is 10am the day of departure.
