Come to Cambria, stay at our home bordering the Fiscalini Ranch. You’ll have the unique experience of enjoying views across this natural undeveloped landscape. No telephone wires, no rooftops, just picture perfect views right down to Otter Cove and the ocean beyond. At dusk walk to the end of the front yard, sit back in the bench and watch surf crashing on the rocks as the sun sets into the blue pacific.

Other goodies, such as decks attached to every bedroom, an inside outside room for reading, napping etc, and of course all the reg. Stuff, wireless internet, washer/dryer, microwave, CD player, and access to the two car garage with a auto opener.

I am a retired sound effects editor, my wife is a music editor. We have been married for 20 + years and have two children. I have been a Mr. Mom, a carpenter, a drywall hanger, a handyman, a potter, a hippie, a college drop out, a landscape gardner, a traveler, a surfer, a tennis player, made a couple of short films and wrote five bad screenplays, make that four, my last one wasn't too bad. That's not all but I don't want to brag. My wife has done a bunch of stuff too but she won't talk about it, that's probably a good idea.

Peaceful , Well Thought Out, And Like The Man Says "Better Than Ocean Front"

We were fortunate enough to stay at this home the week of thanksgiving and we just loved it. It was my Partner, our two nineteen month old Terriers and Me and there plenty of room for all of us. We have stayed in many, many vacation rentals and there's the feeling you get on the way there of wondering if it's well equipped etc. forget about it with this house, you'll have everything you need and then some and as a bonus Bruce is a super nice guy.

My Little Bit of Heaven

Having been fortunate enough to spend our summer vacations in Cambria the last four years, my travel partner and I carefully selected this perfect vacation rental and stayed there for a whole month recently. We were more than impressed with what this house has to offer in terms of its location, comfort, and quiet, serene views. The other reviews speak volumes about the furnishings, cleanliness and amenities provided, but there are few words to describe the simple magic of being there. My 12-year-old, well behaved, black lab, Bailey, lost five pounds because we were able to walk two to four miles every day in the cool Cambria summer. The owner, Bruce, is very accessible and responsive, and we look forward to moving in again next summer!

amazingly happy renter

Okay. I have rented in Cambria for the last four years. Cambria is the most perfect place on earth. But this rental is the most perfect place to stay in Cambria. The view, the home, the linens, the bedding, the fully loaded kitchen, the huge dining area, the fabulous BBQ, the fire pit and the amazingly lovely décor speaks more than I can say. I long to go back and will do so next summer. Lastly, the owner is fabulous and very responsive. Don't want others really do know about this place as too perfect!!!!! But in all fairness the owner deserves the credit. If I could be there all year I would do so!

OUtstanding Cambria getaway with breathtaking location

We come every year, just the 2 of us and also with family. In every season this is a very special place. The locaiton is one of the best in Cambria on the gorgeaus Fiscalini Ranch with unobstructed views of the sea, the bluff, the Monterey Pine forest. We see deer daily. We love the walking, the sea and marine mammal views and this very comfy home. Also just minutes from wonderful restaurants and the charm of Cambria. The house is very comfortable and wonderfully appointed. The kitchen is better equiped than my own and there is seating in the dining area for a large group. The owners have also provided an amazing colllection of current movies - we can only scratch the surface. High recommend, but I'm only sorry the secret about this place is out and it will get tougher to book!

We come every year!

Our family of three plus dog have rented this house every fall for three (four?) years running, and will again next year too. The house is very comfortable, and Bruce has made some great updates -- better seating in the living room, new appliances, big dining table, etc. It is situated perfectly -- peacefully quiet, lovely views, and great walks right outside the door. You can choose a smooth boardwalk on the ocean or solitary trails up the hill with killer ocean views. The Friday afternoon farmer's market is always good, and there's plenty to do in town. We especially like the first floor bedroom and bath for someone wanting more privacy, and the airy upstairs master bedroom. We've rented a dozen+ houses through vrbo, some fancier, but this is our absolute favorite!

It's all good!

We have been fortunate to be able to spend time at Otter Cove the past three summers. Grandma, grandpa, children and grandchildren... something for everyone; tidepooling, deer watching, kayaking, reading, nature walks/hikes, horseback riding, fishing, naps, boogie boards/surfing, walks along the beach, hunting for moonstones, naps, burgers at The Grill, girl shopping, singing and dancing to the Beach Boys, Linn's farm, naps, seafood at Giovanni's, watching the sunset... it's all good. The house comfortably accomodates our clan and has all the amenities we need. Owner Bruce is friendly, responsive, and accomodating. For us, it is the perfect getaway... a time to unplug, unwind, and make memories.

There is a $500 refundable hold/security deposit to book a date and an additional $500 security deposit for a second pet. There is an additional $100. pet fee, per pet, per month.

Cancellations received after 60 days prior to your arrival will loose the $500. hold/security deposit. If the property can be re-rented, all monies will be returned except the $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after 30 days prior to your arrival date will loose all rent monies paid, unless I can re-rent. Upon occupancy of the home there will be no refunds for early departure or fewer guests. Excessive use of utilities. The combined total of gas, and electric, is not to exceed $200. per month, any amount over $200.00 will be considered excessive and taken out of the deposit. The house has been limited to 50 gallons of water per day, (on a 2 month average) please try to conserve.
